The nightly rate was exceptional for the location and comparable properties. Great little, cozy base for exploring Cape Ann. Gas/convenience, liquor, breakfast, coffee, and a variety of restaurants within walking distance. Close to trains/public transportation. Very comfortable room, dining area, full size fridge, stove, all the cooking/dining equipment you might need. Huge closet. Public green space down the street at water's edge. Free, off-street parking. Easy check-in via text. Door code instead of a key. Laundry facilities. Door code for towel/toilet paper, etc closet. Quiet neighborhood. We had a downstairs/basement room away from the street (it's a moderately busy one), so it was quiet, although we could hear our upstairs neighbors, but not annoying. Windows that open. If there's anything I didn't mention, it's not an amenity or service that I used.

Hot sheets, not sure what they were made of. I've never been in a hotel room that had adequate lighting, on a scale of 1-10, I'd say the lighting was a 7. The stove is electric. My stay was too short :D

This is the third time my friend from CT and I from NH have met and stayed at The Beverly. We come up once a year in the summertime to go Whale Watching out of Gloucester and shop and dine in Rockport. We found The Beverly a few years ago and really enjoy staying there. It's a very nice hotel - clean and spacious. We love having the kitchen and especially the refrigerator/freezer. We were upstairs this time. It was very quiet and pleasant. So, we definitely recommend The Beverly and give it thumbs up!

The only issue we saw was the bathroom door was swollen from hot weather, I think, and we couldn't get it to close it all the way. But we worked around that. Someone needs to take the door off and shave the long edge down a little bit so it will close properly.

It was wonderful. No interaction with hotel staff was strange, first time for me, but it was actually good. Personnel was available, always, vi phone. We have stayed in Room 11 (king bed a bit hard, but the shower head was AMAZING) and room 2 (King bed more comfy, but shower head was not the best). The kitchen had all the appliances needed, which was fantastic, The fridge in room 2 was functional but had heavy wear and tear. The rooms were very clean! We had no cleanup during our stay, but it was okay because we keep things tidy always, and bring our own stuff. I recommended it for business travelers who want their own little place.

I thought everything was good. the neighborhood was quite too. No complaints ... yet.

Although there were some misunderstandings via text at the beginning, the staff responded promptly to all my questions and requests. The price is reasonable for the space provided. I was very happy to find an affordable room in Beverly with a full kitchen and easy access to public transportation with a grocery store across the street. The laundry facilities were also excellent.

Love the large living space with full kitchen and sep bedroom. Made our long weekend stay very comfortable. Location to Salem was very easy. Beds are comfy and all was clean with cleaning service each day. Also nearby amenities such as Starbucks, a diner, and the liquor store were across the street as well as the train line into Boston.

Only minor inconvenience was the light switch in the bedroom was unfortunately located on the back wall behind a huge headboard; not easy to find or get to.

Exactly as advertised, no surprises! Pleasant and well located for North Shore family weekend. We wanted to see Salem, Gloucester, and Rockport, and I had not booked quite in time for the places right on the water. The Beverly fit the bill on price, comfort, safety, and drivability.

Sending in my ID over an insecure portal was an odd practice. I did it, but I don’t know why there was a big push if the staff has chosen to work off site. Would they have denied me the chance to check in without it, even after I had been charged?

The Beverly was easy to find and the room was great although a little bit dark due to the small window in the lounge. It was great to be able to open both the windows in the lounge and the bedroom though as I love fresh air to sleep. The team there are great too and so helpful. It was just what I needed to be still for a while.

The Beverly is working towards a contactless system, which includes a text message to the customer. Many foreign travellers only have data packages with e-sims now and would not be able to receive a message in this way. Or are even relying on WiFi zones to make and receive messages. Maybe offering a data based message as well like Messenger or WhatsApp would help? Or an email, though booking.com needs to provide an actual email address to the venue for this to work.

It was definitely clean and easy to find. It was also easy to access my room. The kitchen was well stocked. They made an effort to make it nice.

I chose the cheapest room on the site and it was a basement room so you get what you pay for. Even though they made an effort, the curtains on the window didn’t close and were kind of broken and the fluorescent light in the kitchen didn’t work etc. There was a bathtub but there was no capacity to block the drain to use the tub.

Great hotel. Nice clean apartment with comfortable beds. We have stayed in this hotel twice. Both times in a different apartment. The apartments we stayed in have a fully equipped kitchen and a nice living room. The sofa bed was also very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this for families.

All was great except one thing: I had to call the staff to check in and I had to give my creditcard details over the phone. So no secure way to check in for us.

Great location, across street from large supermarket (Stop & Shop) made shopping for supplies easy. The kitchen had plenty of cooking tools/pots, large fridge, toaster, etc, appliances in good working condition, so easy to make meals in the room. Very clean rooms, and I liked how the properly made it easy to help ourselves to fresh linens and towels if needed. AC units worked great, fortunately because it was a hot week. North Beverly is a very central location, short distance to lovely Cape Ann and the northshore, and a quick drive to Boston. Is a quiet, clean neighborhood with no bars or rough crowds to cause unpleasantness.

Don't stay here without a car. Lack of restaurants withing walking distance (the Bertucci's has moved). Only a hipster juice bar and a diner withing walking distance. But with the full kitchen and grocery store, you can easily make your own food.
