The owners have done an excellent job renovating the property. They are getting a neon sign to make it easier to find staying on trend with the Route 66 theme. The room was very clean. There was an Oder that seemed to be coming from the toilet. Owner will get it looked at as soon as it stops raining. The mattress was EXCELLENT. The furniture was vintage and in great shape. The turquoise fridge, microwave, coffee maker and lampshades were right on point for the Route 66 theme. The pictures could be switched out from the birds to a more RT. 66 option. The bathroom was clean with a hair dryer and soap and shampoo available. The retro tile was wonderful as was the rain shower head.

We LOVED everything about our stay. Right from the very start in the office and when we walked in the room where we stayed, the Route 66 vibe was flowing. The decor was so cute. The room was spacious with many amenities. The bed was comfortable with extra large pillows. The ac and TV worked fine. The room had a microwave and fridge. The owners greeted us warmly and gave us lots of information about local places to eat or to visit. We wished we had time in our schedule to stay more days there. We will definitely be back!!

There in not one negative thing to say. This place is amazing!

The pool was great. The staff, friendly and easy to talk to/ work with. The beds were pretty comfortable. The bathroom is small but workable and the shower was wonderful. There is no food onsite but several options within ten minutes and some options who will deliver. If I'm ever in Carthage I will definitely be staying here.

Where do I start?! ❤️ This is the cutest Route 66 Inn and location ever! Small cozy inn, clean and bigger rooms than most, comfortable beds, retro set-up microwave and fridge, bathroom with shower only, no tub in my room, which was fine with us. Swimming pool in the back surrounded by a pretty green grassy area with chairs and cool decking concrete. This place is seriously so cute, and the grounds are beautiful! Chairs out front on the porch to sit outside your room door, lots of grassy areas for kids or your pets, cute bird houses with gobs of birds shooting in and out of the house, and the views of Kellogg lake nextdoor, WOW 😍 there's benches, paths around the lake to drive on, you can fish in it and there's grassy areas picnic areas and beyond that a river/creek area where we took our dogs to take a dip. I highly recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay!Super nice owners, very personable and kind. Oh and they're pet friendly location too! $10/per pet, 2 pet max. Great find, glad we booked here, we would definitely stay here again. Really enjoyed it.

Wasn't anything I disliked.

Breakfast was not included. The property was as good as expected, based on ratings I read before booking. For a motel in an area I knew nothing about, it was a great stay. As others have mentioned, the microwave and refrigerator were retro-looking and both worked well. The owner was friendly, as was the lady who cleaned our room. Good location in Carthage and pretty lake next to the property. Bed was comfortable. Loved the large, modern shower!

The only thing I can think of is that an extra roll of toilet paper was not available when we ran out. We had to go ask for a new roll.

This is a very nostalgic Americana hotel decorated in the same way we were traveling to Route 66, and this was a very comfortable, clean and well situated motel.

The AC unit didn’t work as good as it could, but like many of these nostalgic motels, independent owners are struggling, which is another reason why we like, staying here at places like this.

Room was clean and really liked the retro look. The location is right next to beautiful lake Kellogg. Took my dogs over to enjoy this

The lake is on one side of hotel but a very busy Conoco gas station is across street, so it can get really noisy. Also the mattress was too soft I sank in it and it was hard to sleep.

I loved how quaint it was and the the old school decor. It was in a safe neighborhood and had a great spot for my dog to use the bathroom. Also, it was next to a public lake that was great to walk around also.

I guess if you're not a fan of 50's-60's Route 66 decor, then this place might not be for you, as it's a little out dated. The bed was comfortable enough, but again, if you're looking for The Royal Suite in NY, this isn't the hotel for you.

The location was awesome. The room was very clean, bed comfortable and we enjoyed the nostalgic look and feel of our room. The host was welcoming as well! We love the fact that the location was on Route 66 and recommended it to other family members. Thank you for cherished memories for our family.

Nostalgic motel, operated by nice friendly people. It's clean, and comfortable. I loved the Purple Martins that started up my morning with their cheery rattles and throaty chirping. The Martin house was just outside the door in front of the motel. I would stay here again

Nothing I didn't like. I don't require alot, it was one night.
