Hotel and room met expectations. The staff, especially Bonnie, exceeded expectations. All staff were extremely polite. Staff in restaurant were great as well. Bonnie exceeded expectations because I left my California king pillow at the hotel and live in the Reno area. I called and asked if they could just mail the pillowcase to me (since it was part of a set) and they could discard the pillow (I needed a new one anyway). Bonnie was prompt and verified they had my pillow and sent the pillowcase to me the next day at a very reasonable price. Customer service plus! Museum was interesting. Thanks again so much!

Definitely dated hotel, but this is part of the charm?

it is a beautiful historic hotel in Boulder City, with numerous eateries and drinkeries right across the street. There is also a bar and a restaurant (breakfast and lunch) on site. On the second loo, where the rooms are, there is a lounge complete with large, comfortable chairs and a couch where guests can get free coffee and tea at various times of the day. Staff is most accommodating. The rooms, while small, are comfortable and nicely decorated. There is an art museum on site. I am impressed with the powers that be that they rescued the building and turned it into a real asset for the town by multi-purposing it while retaining the charm and character of a by-gone era.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at this historic hotel. Parking was abundant and easy to find. The cozy building has two floors, with most rooms located on the second floor. Our room was small but functional, and the furniture was well-maintained and in keeping with the period style. During our stay, we visited the museum, which is open until 7 PM, and enjoyed drinks at the speakeasy, which featured live music. Coffee and tea are available in the common area.

We requested a room towards the back for added quietness, but given the age of the building, I don't think it made much difference. If you're a light sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs.

Great location in a fantastic town. Dining available in site, bar with some free entertainment in the night we stayed. Nice area to walk around with plenty food and drink options. Room is small but clean and comfortable. Nice shower room, toilet etc. There is an elevator, free coffee and tea for most of the mornings and afternoon. Lovely museum with free entry but donations for upkeep are welcome. Historical building, creaky floors etc but that adds to the atmosphere. Fridge in our room, air con and a tv. We will certainly return.

I liked the staff, the atmosphere, the style, and the warmth. The staff was kind, welcoming and helpful. I had a problem with the rental car, they helped me more than I expected. Breakfast is not included but it is very good.

Nothing but if I have to say something what I liked less is just the dimension of the bathroom is tiny. The bathtub is old and not inviting. The style of the bathroom is good so I think it would deserve a better soap dispenser, more in style. But these things are just details. I loved the place and the people.

Wonderful staff on front desk.Incredibly helpful. Quiet comfortable room. Excellent mattress! Nice separate sitting area. Interesting hotel and attractive lobby area.

We booked a suite with kitchenette. Description had coffee maker, coffee, washing up facilities with the fridge and microwave. The self catering facilities had all been removed! It was only the fixtures of microwave and fridge left in the kitchenette. I paid substantially more for a kitchenette for our 2 night stay than a standard room. It was only through the kindness of the front desk staff that she managed to find 2 plates, 2 non matching bowls and some plastc cutlery!!!!!! I consider this a misrepresentation! Management respose appreciated!

Great spot to stay in Boulder City. Center of the city. Great breakfast at 1933 restaurant in the hotel. If you are going to the Hoover dam be sure to stop by Hemingway park before you go. It's not far and the big horn sheep are out in the morning.the last photo is from Cornish Pasty across the street from the hotel. Very filling and delicious, open until 10pm if you are getting in late and you're hungry. This is the chicken pot pie pasty.

Booking says there is a pool. No pool 😢

What a lovely hotel, such a refreshing change from 'corporate' hotels. This hotel is what we British would call quaint and that was the beauty of it. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The amenities were great, coffee/tea and water available morning and evening. We ate breakfast in their restaurant which was excellent and we spent time in the bar and listened to the singer, thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. The hotel was in an excellent position for the rest of the city.

Nothing, it was fabulous.

It was convenient to Hoover Dam, Vegas, and several very good restaurants locally (I would recommend Dillinger’s for lunch or supper and Coffee Cup Cafe for breakfast). It was very clean, staff very accommodating, and a beautiful building. The Hoover Dam museum was neat. My wife and I took the time to go through it and watch the 30 minute video. Very informative. Matter of fact, we went to Hoover Dam the next day and didn’t bother with the tour because it was so informative. Plus Lake Meade is a neat place to visit as well which I would recommend if visiting Boulder City. We will probably never visit this city again but if we did, we would definitely stay here.

We liked everything about the property but if you’re looking for the Taj Mahal for a room, you will not find that here. The room we were in was small but for the money you can’t beat it. Also, the bed takes a little getting used to if you don’t own a Tempur-Pedic or the like type mattress.

Boulder City is a fantastic, peaceful place to be away from the busyness of Vegas but with great places to eat and an antique and arts scene. The hotel was stunning, properly old and classy in a way rarely seen in the US. The bed was comfortable and the room just right. We loved the guest coffee lounge.

Housekeeping! Possibly the world's loudest person was having a long conversation outside our room at 630am. In a hotel so quiet and classy it was not cool to be woken by an employee, however happy and full of energy he might have been.
