Everything i.enjoyed . Quiet , yet in the middle of historic walk . The restraunts were fantastic Great hospitality everywhere throughout the towne . Just very enjoyable . I.will most definitely be back ..thank you ! Just one thing . . You have to replace those coffee pots you have there . It's not sufficient . I did buy a 4 cup regular coffee maker at Albertsons . I.had ro have good coffee to start my early morning , an unfortunately no coffee places are open that early . I did leave the coffee maker I bought , on purpose . Not an issue . I will be back though . I really enjoyed SANDS MOTEL . It was basically perfect .

The coffee makers . They have these 1 cup , 1 pre-made coffee filter , that is absolutely nasty . I did buy a 4 cup coffee maker at Albertsons . I had to . I ended up leaving it behind , for good reason. Who ever gets that room , , #10 , yall are getting a great coffee maker . I do hope they replace those 1 cup , pre-made coffee filters . Coffee makers . That's not great .

Room was renovated but with a mid-century flair. I was surprised by a separate “coffee room” with the fridge, microwave, offer maker and hanging clothes area, desk and chair and small table and chairs for coffee. Bathroom was small but clean and functional. Parking in front of the room was convenient and appreciated.

My main complaint - the inconsiderate guests who loaded their large pickup next to my car at 5 am and made a lot of noise doing it. When they finally took off, they wanted to make sure everyone heard their diesel truck. This wasn’t the motel’s fault. Neither was the metal plate on the road right in front of the motel. Each time a vehicle drove over it, the sound carried into the room. When larger vehicles passed, the room actually would vibrate. I assume it is part of a road construction project and temporary. It was enough noise to keep me up and forced me to run the fan all night for white noise.

From what I read, this motel has been run by the same family since 1951 and the pride shows. I don’t think I’ve stayed in a cleaner hotel. I’m one that judges cleanliness of a motel/hotel by checking corners and under the bed. 🤷‍♀️ Spotless. Even outside was clean and nice. Landscaped and cute chair by each door. Beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. Even though this is an older motel the electrical was updated with plenty of outlets. There is electrical conduit on the walls, but I didn’t even mind because the room decor was nice. Highly recommend this place if you have the occasion to stay in Boulder City. They don’t serve breakfast, but coffee pot is in the room. I recommend the Coffee Cup Cafe for breakfast, it’s only a third of a mile down the street, walkable if you want.

Has a bathtub, but no plug.

We liked the overall cleanliness and the plantation shutters for its look and feel. It was nice to open it and get natural light and have fresh air. We liked the serenity of the street at night when we had to walk the dogs. Boulder City is a beautiful town with lots of history. We like the pet friendliness of the place. We had two dogs and the staff was very nice to our dogs.

The hard floor could have been cleaner. When we had to wipe up a water spill, the towel showed the floor should have been cleaner. The bath tub had a foot print left over from the previous people.

The owners and their staff are very gracious and attentive. Most of the rooms have been recently updated and well done at that. Very clean, very comfortable. We returned for a second stay a week after our first stay and I was in one of the rooms that had not been updated yet. It too was still very nice, comfy, and clean. Would highly recommend the Sands Motel and if I return to Boulder City I would hope they have a room available.

No swimming pool.

This little motel room was decorated better than it needed to be! (I appreciated that!) It had all that we needed: cold A/C (it was 108 outside), comfy bed, clean everything and so, so cute! (Not important to me, but I was impressed.) The ladies at the front desk were so friendly. One would have never known that they were dealing with their 100th exhausted, idiot traveler of the day! Loved parking at our door. We had a loaded car with 5 weeks of travel in it.

Wish there had been a pool, but knew that going in.

Clean and comfortable, the bathroom in particular was great. I think it's had a fairly recent refurbishment. Particular reasons for choosing this place was a coffee machine and microwave (so you can make tea also!). Short walk to downtown with a good selection of restaurants, bars, and for me two good brew pubs with fine beers. Air conditioning was fully functional.

Excellent. Very clean and comfortable and in excellent decoration order. Very quiet and no noise from the road or other rooms. Definitely felt it has the owners touch and pride her motel. Definitely recommend. Also worth noting that the small historic area is lovely and makes a great stop to see the dam with the museum worth a visit before the dam visit. Thank you for a great stay

Nothing - all great

First of all the staff was very helpful. We went into our room and were pleasantly surprised that it was so clean and smelled fresh. I don’t know any way to describe it other than modern vintage. I also have to say that I gave it a low rating for price, but that’s only because it was New Year’s eve and it was last minute. I’ve seen this come up on booking before for very reasonable prices.

Honestly, nothing I thought it was great

The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. I felt safe and not at all worried about anything in relation to cleanliness. The staff was very friendly and offered suggestions to restaurants nearby as well. It was also a safe area where we walked around at night time. Not as fancy as a hotel but definitely a great place to stay and a great price point.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable (firm) but that is just personal preference.
