Comfy bed and big TV after a 500 mile drive. Good Mexican food restaurant next door where we grabbed some takeout, and little market area with snacks and sundries adjacent to front desk. Large spread of hot and cold breakfast items were on display in the morning. We only had coffee before hitting the road, but the breakfast smelled great. We also had a coffee maker and mini fridge in our room for convenience. Our dog was treated like a celebrity. Green grass areas on property for your pet. This place seems brand new: CLEAN room and common areas, plenty of parking, pet friendly, updated technology, easy to get in and out of here on your road trip.

This was the best hotel I’ve stayed at in a very long time. The entire staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff to the support staff at breakfast should be commended. They clearly have pride in their job. They prove that there are still gems in the hospitality industry because on our recent trip I had been seriously thinking that hospitality was dead. Our room was spotless. The first thing I do when I get into a room is check the beds. The beds had a full mattress enclosure which I think is so important at and I cannot understand when hotels do not invest in this. The beds were clean and so comfortable. There was not a speck of dirt in our room and that is not an exaggeration. The breakfast was great. Healthy options like a veggie egg white omelet and turkey sausage in addition to traditional items like scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries, oatmeal, etc. I really cannot say enough about this hotel. I was so impressed and I wish we had more than just one night here.

Clean, new (hopefully stays well maintained) facility. Great shower, quiet.

Staff was "fine." Perfectly acceptable, but probably the weak point compared to everything else. Maids, food prep workers, etc. are probably excellent, but I didn't interact with them. Front desk staff could use a little customer service training. Again, nothing at all was wrong, but I've been to other similarly priced hotels (i.e. Drury Inns) and their customer service is a full notch or two above.

The room was very large. It was clean. Nice TV with a lot of channels. I was tired and needed to relax so that was important. The other places in Ely and surrounding areas were mostly older motels; I have severe allergies and can't stay in those kinds of places. So the Holiday Inn was like an oasis to me. It was nice to have breakfast available. For that type of serve yourself meal it was pretty decent.

price was a bit high

It was quiet, very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The view from the breakfast area was terrible - broken down junk from their neighbor next door? Also, the address did not match up with the attached map. We had to insert the actual address to get the correct directions.

Missed breakfast. Over too early

Cranky misinformed desk clerk that sent us on a wild goose chase looking for a restaurant. We walked 2 miles one way and were apparently still another half a mile from our destination. We had specifically made the point that we were elderly and on foot.

Really the only place in Ely to stay overnight.

The mid day front desk staff, specifically the young lady was overbearing and unwilling to deal with our complaint. Immense noise from the room directly over us and we eventually asked to be moved and were. She did not address the issue with the people causing the issue.

No where to walk around there. There’s a restaurant next door but the night we were there it was very busy and service wasn’t great, so would have to drive for dinner. Staff wasn’t super helpful with suggestions etc.

It had a calm energy—easy to relax in after a very long drive. Many of the things it had I didn’t take advantage of but was happy they were there and I’ll be back.

The window shade was weird—not working properly. And the shower head—could be sooo much better—doesn’t really get the soap off or shampoo unless you take a longer time than I’m used to (wasting water).

Cami, at the front desk, was very helpful. In addition, I asked for some health eatery suggestions and she printed out information on where to get a good salad in town.

Some one above me was noisy through the night and I woke up several times.
