This is an older motel that, at some point, has been nicely renovated. The price was very reasonable for the area at approximately $100 total for a king. The room was on the second (top) floor and was quiet. Bed was comfortable with big pillows, the bath had a tub/shower with good water pressure and nice, thick towels. The ac/heater was a unit under the window which worked well and quietly. I walked across the street for dinner and had a nice, reasonably priced meal at the Winnemucca Inn restaurant. There’s also a full bar inside this hotel/casino. While the Holiday Motel has a breakfast buffet I did not eat here, but went to the excellent The Griddle restaurant (open for breakfast & lunch) a block and a half down the street to the east. Great food/coffee and what a friendly staff! A nice one night stay with eating options very nearby.

Nothing.

From the outside, this motel doesn't look like much. However, when we walked into our large king room we were impressed. There was a desk, a small table with chairs, a corner unit with a nice sized refrigerator and microwave, and a recliner. The bathroom had a separated sink area from the toilet/ bathtub room. Oh yeah, a nice large flat screen TV on top of a dresser as well. The breakfast was much more than I expected. And the two different office staff ladies that I met were incredibly friendly.

So our room had a window which faced an alleyway that wasn't too appealing. However, the double curtains took care of that

The room was clean and had all the things you would expect in a motel room

I reserved a king bed no smoking no pet room 72 hours in advance and paid at the time I reserved. I requested a ground floor room I'm a senior motel acknowledged my request and when I arrived I was given a room with 2 queen beds and told there was only one king room not occupied on the ground floor and someone had already paid for it. I guess my paying in advance didn't count. If you are a senior there is no elevator or baggage carts at this property. Very frustrating experience. One last thing the TV remote only worked half the time, the volume and on/off worked correctly the channel selection did not.

The pool is open from 10am to 10pm. Friendly staff. Charming exterior colour scheme of white and beachy pale blue doors and railings, the colours picked up in the lovely new looking pool chairs and loungers. Actually good decaf coffee in the room (!), gluten-free cheerios (celiac!). The room appears quite well renovated. Super clean. Non-pet room. Very comfortable. Would stay again.

When we first arrived there was a very loud and vibrating sound that sounded like a massive tree trunk in a log cabin being jackhammered. Presumably(??) it was the upstairs room’s air conditioning unit operating - but luckily it did not continue the whole evening and we slept very peacefully. It was very quiet otherwise. The bathroom door needs to be shaved in one spot to make it easier to shut the door, as it impinges in the counter. The bathroom is almost as small as one I saw in an ex- Soviet Union apartment. (Yet still it has a nice bath!)

Spotless, convenient, nice staff.

The only problem was that the smoke detector apparently had a low-battery and those extremely annoying beeps woke me about 4:30 am after I had finally fallen asleep. When I called the front desk the manager answered and replied she was currently off-site, and the front dest employee would not arrive until 6:00 am. ☹️The alarm was on the ceiling and there was no way to reach it even if I had had a screwdriver. I stuffed my ears with toilet paper and drew pillow and blanket over my ears.

Tamara, the check out staff person, was an excellent example of someone dealing with the public. The bathroom area was the nicest of the facilities we stayed in on our trip. The pool was a plus (only facility we stayed at with a pool). Even though the facility is right on a busy road, the noise was not noticeable.

Upon entry of our room, I immediately thought our choice of facilities was very wrong…the carpet gives a very bad vibe. Only one entry/exit to the facility. If you miss it (it’s right by the stop light), you have to go around the block. Parking is limited.

The location was convenient. Bed was comfortable, happy to have a hair dryer in the room. Staff was friendly and courteous. Happy to have the coffee maker and refrig....

Too much single use plastic containers for lotion, shampoo... all the breakfast was in prepackaged plastic with disposable plates, silverware.... I know all that is convenient but it is terrible for the environment. I chose not to eat there. Consider the refillable shower containers for shampoo, conditioner, lotion and real cups for coffee.

I liked the outside with the flowers. It really brought it all to life. The pool was nice and clean and I love how it stays open until 10pm. The rooms were clean, staff friendly and the breakfast was great!

Definitely need to upgrade the beds. They are very stiff and hard mostly I think wore in. I stayed 4 nights and couldn’t wait to get home to my bed.

The room was much more attractive and nicely decorated than the exterior of the unit. There was artwork in the bathroom and new furniture and new wall cover in the room. Travel size toiletries were provided. Starbucks coffee pods were available for times outside of breakfast. There was an open outdoor pool. The location is great for walking uptown to see the sights.

I thought the listing said there was an exercise room. That was not the case. Breakfast was continental but listed as breakfast. The outdoor stairs were open and metal.

This motel has every accommodation that any guest would need. We found this place very clean, comfortable and there was everything that a person would need over the night and day comfort. With a great price, good breakfast and pleasant staff our moods were up, and we were ready and rested for farther travel. Thanks to Litzi for her hard work and great customer service.
