The location was great. It was walking distance to the beach. Since I went during the week and the weather forecast had been horrible, there was plenty of street parking on the side street by the inn.

My room must have been newly painted so they forgot the closet pole. It was surprising since it was so visible. I did get it by the second day. The AC unit was a little noisy and the windows should have been covered with light filtering shades. That's what I'm accustomed to, real darkness well I sleep.

CJ the General Manager was very friendly and helped me with local tips (where to eat, where to go.) He was very honest too. He found apple ear pods on the entrance steps, and asked if they belonged to me - I was nearby the steps in a lounge chair. I thought that was really nice. All the people that worked the front desk were very friendly. On our way out, just after check-out, we thought we packed everything, and the lady working the front desk found something left behind in our room and asked if it was ours, which it was. I thought that was really nice. The place had a charm to it. And it was on a quiet road, and yet within easy walking distance to the beach. My family had a great time here and we would return in a second.

Very clean and stuff very friendly. Exceptional location. It's a low end and old building but they keep it very clean and neatly as possible. Balance between price, location and building!

Water pressure it's very low but nothing to do about it since it's a very old building so water pressure just enough for basics needs. However isn't big of a deal " you are just 1 block from the beach so and extra couple of minutes to rinse you isn't a big deal"

The location was perfect and so was the view. They provided the rooms with toiletries which I appreciated! The staff was extremely welcoming. They always presented with a smile and were very helpful assuring I was having a good stay.

The key for my room wasn't working. It took many attempts until it'd finally let me in the room. Maybe an updated key or key reader would be perfect. It was a bit of a hassle but we made it work. Aside from this there was some slight staining on the bedsheets/pillowcases.

Staff at front desk was fabulous, very kind and provided local recommendations. Loved that we were a block from the beach and walking distance to the whole town, plenty of restaurants, and local shops. We love Belmar and this was a lovely way to enjoy a quick getaway with our children.

Belmar Inn have this old style hotel look and feel. Their staff was wonderful. I informed them that my plane was delayed and that I would be arriving very late. The room was nice. Didn’t use the ac in the room. The window was slightly opened and the cold beach air made the room temperature perfect for me to sleep.

It would be nice if they had a parking lot. But I understand due to the area.

The manager woman at the hotel was beyond compare. We told her that two of us were disabled and could not climb stairs. She gave us a full refund and suggested other hotels. We ended up staying at a hotel that we stay at every year. As the result of poor weather report, , that hotel came down $300 for that weekend. Belmar gave us a great price a few months before the trip. Even though we were unable to stay I would recommend this hotel to any able bodied person of any age. It is beautiful and quaint. I will never forget how this woman helped us. Thank you Ma'am!

All rooms upstairs

I always like that it's one block from the beach. I totally forgot they have breakfast on the weekends. Kids enjoy bagels and donuts.. while I enjoy my kcups.

1st time I was there was 2 years ago and I stayed on the other side (the left) those rooms were more spacious, had a wall between 2 beds and a microwave. This time I stayed on the right side and the beds were so close together also no microwave. Also complained to front desk a few times about kids above me jumping off beds. If I have to announce the ages of my kids then you should know to put younger ones below me. My kids are 10 and up.

We loved the staff. CJ made our entire trip. He was kind to our son and daughter. He also went out of his way to make sure we had parking close by and to make sure our beach things were stored so we didn’t have to put it in our car or carry it to our room. CJ even walked to the beach with us to take a picture of our whole group together. He gave us many recommendations on places to eat as well. We cannot say enough nice things about him.

The only thing I didn’t like was our last night people above us were loud. But that wasn’t the hotels fault.

The staff was awesome and super accommodating! CJ is the best. Can't beat the location and the porch is so comfy to hang out on!

The beds were not very comfortable. Fine for a night or two, but mattress toppers would go a long way ! Could use updating, but for the price, I sort of expected that.
