Very clean room / bathroom convenient to the highway

No elevator, better variety for breakfast

Perfect to visit both NYC (close to path train, ferry) and the Jersey side. Very friendly staff, rooms are fine and clean. Beds are comfortable and have many pillows to choose from.

Interior is a bit dated, breakfast could contain also some savory items, however it is a perfect deal for a couple of days in NYC. Definitely recommend this hotel.

1) Newport subway is walkable distance (10 min walk) away from the hotel. Good option to tour NY city. Note: Subway stations are like furnace during summer. 2) Hotel has ample free parking. Safe, Neat and Clean surroundings monitored by Security Cams. 3) BurgerKing is 2 min walk away from the hotel. 4) A mall is 5 min walk away from the hotel. 5) All great restaurants available nearby but you would need a car or cab ride. 6) Hotel is neat and clean. Room was nice and clean. It had microwave and a mini-refrigerator. 7) Bathroom was clean too. 8) Room service is good but available every alternate days, unless asked for everyday.

1) Breakfast options are not enough and very unhealthy. Mostly it is carb or sugary bakery items.

The free parking and location to the path over to NYC was a huge selling point! It was very affordable and fairly quiet considering the location near the holland tunnel. Was spacious enough for myself, my husband and 16 year old son. The breakfast was fruit, donuts, danish, and croissants which came from a local bakery, they were good.

The rooms are not humungous, but for just a space to sleep it is enough. There were minimal places to charge phones or plug anything in near the bed. My husband uses a c-pap machine and had to use the extension cord thankfully they had. We had to shut the heat off because it was 73 degrees even with it off. With the air conditioning on it was better.

Everything was comfortable and clean. Big rooms and value for money.

Breakfast could have a larger variety or something more other than sweets. Savory food was missing from breakfast. Also there were only two tables which made it difficult to sit and eat there.

loved the friendly staff and their attention to the customers. They were extremely welcoming and cordial towards our requests. The coffee served was quite good and the room was very clean.

Wished there was an elevator because we had a lot of luggage to move up and down. The breakfast was nice too but all the dishes were mostly bread and sweets, incorporating some protein like eggs would be great.

This jewel of a hotel is small with a very friendly staff. There is no elevator nor coffee set up in the room but the room was good by NYC area standards and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was cold foods but contained delicious pastries, yoghurt, cereal, fruit and coffee and tea, etc. The room was unexpectedly quiet despite being very close to the Holland Tunnel. The location is wonderful since the PATH etc is so close to get into NYC.

It was NOT a problem for us but there is no elevator. The steps have a landing where you can stop and rest and we got along fine without an elevator (we are 78 years old) but guests need to keep that in mind.

Extremely friendly staff

We didn't have our room cleaned. They said that we needed to request it when you stay for a short period. Having said that, once we mentioned it, we were immediately provided with fresh towels, and our waste baskets were emptied out.

The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were quick to say good morning, hello or good evening. A few even asked how our stay was going and genuinely wanted to know. The Hotel Room was a good size, with a mini fridge and a microwave. The room was clean and well stocked. The location was excellent for catching the trains to WTC, Grand Central Station and the Empire State Building. Restaurants are within a short walk as well, Dorians Irish Pub and some Asian Inspired restaurants. Convenience stores and a grocery store were also accessible with a short walk.

The cleaning staff was very noisy in the morning, with loud conversations. The cleaning staff also knocked on our door at 11:55 am the last day we were there to be sure we were leaving by 12:00. The shower took a few minutes to heat up. While taking a shower it would fluctuate between hot and cold, like when the toilet flushed you were hit with cold, cold water. I'm not sure it was a toilet flushing or what it was, but that was what it seemed like.

Loved the breakfast. The coconut donuts were amazing! Excellent location. The beds were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was hot and the air con unit very noisy. There was a bathtub but can only use the shower.
