I loved my stay here. I had a room with a shared bathroom and other guests were respectful and I felt fine sharing. I needed an affordable place to stay for a night to attend a show at the Mann Center. It was very close by which made it convenient for me and I felt safe while traveling alone. The room was clean and I was provided towels, extra blankets, a fan, snacks and water. The place is in a residential neighborhood so it is quiet and the parking is free.

Since it is self check in, you have to send your ID and credit card info for a hold in case there are damages to the room. There should be a better more secure system for this as most people aren’t comfortable sending that information through text or email to someone you don’t know. Yin was able to accommodate me and make me feel comfortable about that process, so it all worked out.

This guest house is in a beautiful large home in a nice neighborhood. A bus stop just 2 short blocks away was convenient for getting around the city. The owner/manager was lovely and accommodating. My room was a perfect size, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. Big windows looked out on a green lawn where I heard and saw a pair of nesting cardinals. It was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen/dining area was available for guests to use, and the spotless shared bathroom was just a few steps away from my room. It reminded me of nice guest houses in Europe. I ended up staying a 2nd night and would lodge there again in a heartbeat!

The bedroom was sparkling clean and the bed so comfortable. Nice space. Comfortable and quiet. The host was so nice and kept communication at 100%. I see my self coming back again.

I knew that the room didn't have a bathroom but it was ok. It was across from my bedroom. The only problem was in the morning before I left and I needed to used the bathroom. But not big deal, I went to the first floor. No a problem.

We had a great experience at the Fairmount House! We picked the king room with a private bathroom. We went to a concert at The Mann, and it was easy to get back afterwards. The room was lovely, the staff was kind and welcoming and the place was clean. The area was quiet and we had no trouble with street parking. For breakfast we went to the nearby Corner Cafe Bakery which was delicious.

It was quiet and tranquil. It’s a good retreat in a safe and quiet neighborhood to have some time to revive and refresh. The space was more than accommodating! It was a very nice room.bathe private bath sold me!! Would book again

A tv would have helped at night for some light, white noise, but definitely did NOT negatively affect my stay

Room was very clean; simply but tastefully decorated. Lots of nice touches. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was thoughtfully equipped and has great shower pressure. Yin was a terrific host and very communicative. Don’t judge the book by its cover. The exterior is a work in progress, but the interior is very welcoming.

Room is spacious. There are complimentary water bottles and snacks.

We had two rooms with shared bathroom. We were not sure where to keep used towels in our room. The note says to keep the bathroom sink clean after use for other guests but no rugs so I had to use toilet paper to wipe splashed water around the bathroom sink.

Xin was a fantastic host. The property was very reasonably priced in a good area. We used public transport during our stay. The no 40 bus took us all the way to The Old Town and we also used buses (x2 that dove tailed) to get to the international airport.

Very nice hospitable host. Nice location in a large stone house, Nice simple room with a small table. Bathroom was a little down the hall. Wifi access. Rooms are on the 2nd floor.

Room could have used a ceiling fan or room fan to circulate air better. Shower water pressure was a little weak.

Fairmount House is located outside of Center City, but is within a 20-min Uber/Lyft ride to the Center City area. The room we booked (Superior King) was really spacious & the bed comfortable; big plus for blackout shades; great water pressure. Its in a quiet part of town so you should be able to get a good night's rest.
