Overall, the hotel met our expectations. The exterior and interior are a bit old — I would say somewhat outdated. Still, almost everything was functioning properly. The bathroom was just okay, kind of average, but usable. I wouldn’t say there was any noticeable dirt, bugs, or anything unpleasant like that. So, for a one-night stay, I’d say it’s a perfectly acceptable option. I especially want to highlight the breakfast — it was excellent for a hotel of this level. Later, we stayed at a more expensive hotel in the next city, and the breakfast there was much more limited and of lower quality compared to Echo Lodge. So kudos to them — I think the breakfast here was really good.

Location in historical center and close to Old Town Plaza. In close area markets, cafe and restaurants. Good and clean room with comfy bed, furniture little bit grew old, but it's look like vintage. I've checked several motels nearby and this one is definitely better. And i noticed how the personal works - man and woman of the ages (look like family / owners or head managers) - so kind and polite and how they care about everything in hotel, which can't be said about another employee who was on shift already at night - so indifferent and disrespectful. Breakfast at morning is good 🙌 Yes, i am really appreciate for earlier check-in at morning without requesting any additional fee. Rare faced in hotels. I was exhausted after long trip and get to the shower and bed at early morning was unbelievable.

The breakfast exceeded expectations. The split system heating system, bed (with side tables on both sides of the king) and pillows were above average. The room was very clean. We did not use the handicap shower/bath, so cannot comment on that. We easily walked to the plaza and the botanical garden from the hotel. We never felt unsafe.
The guy we checked in with was not friendly and it was hard to hear him through the partition. The tv guide channel didn't have what was on on each channel, hence we couldn't see what was playing next or in at the moment without clicking through the channels.

I liked about everything except it was almost a week before housekeeping came.into.my room to change garbage or towels. I don't mind using my towels more then 9nce but if was 5 days for sure. That is my only complaint. Wveything else was great and I'll definitely stay there again
Too l9ng before housekeeping came into room to do anything. From Monday til Saturdaay after 2 calls to front desk. Was told they should have been there twice by that.time

The room was a little old, but clean and had all we need. The breakfast is a standard inexpensive hotel breakfast, but at least it was not carbs-only. They also had scrambled eggs and breakfast sausages. They even had their in-door pool open and working. As I discovered later in other hotels, it is not always the case. The staff was very friendly. The location is just in a couple of blocks away from the old town, very good.

The only bad thing was the sausage for breakfast wasn't cooked completely and the jets for the hot tub were not working. Everything else was amazing. We enjoyed the pooland hot tub even tho the jets were not working. The bath tub was amazing. It had spa jets so we relaxed in the room and tub. Very happy with our stay!
The TV could be bigger.. lol. It's pretty small for the room we rented! Maybe a few more options due breakfast

Location was excellent - easy walk into Old Town. Huge, very comfortable bed. The included breakfast was excellent with a variety of food offered. Adela, who served us was very efficient. We would like to offer a HUGE thank you to Adela for ordering our very early morning taxi and for arranging to refund our cash security deposit at the same time. She is a very kind lady who I hope is highly valued by her employer.
Would have liked jam or peanut butter to spread on toast - only butter and cream cheese available. I used a boiled egg instead which was excellent. This is not a criticism, just a suggestion

Excellent breakfasts, generous in portion and provided with cheerful morning greetings by the proprietor, who remembered our preferences on the subsequent 3 days of our 4 day stay. Walking distance to the superb "BioPark" Botanical Gardens and Aquarium. Excellent value. Easy access to the highways. Being right on Old Route 66. Walking also to two fine Mexican restaurants "Los Compadres" (sit down) and "Frederico's" (sit or take out).

Breakfast was cooked by staff (great eggs); clean and tidy (love the flooring), comfy beds, great bathroom.
Check in was a bit messy as our room keys didn’t work, new keys didn’t work, ultimately staff member helped us in (and we found the room occupied already). Rude shock for the person in the room, not what we loved after a very long day. But we got a proper room after that.

Have stayed here numerous times. Return because of the great location and the pleasant staff. Good to see signs of some needed maintenance and upgrades, especially in the main foyer and breakfast area.
The breakfast remains a poor version of what it used to be, but it's acceptable. Also miss the extra perk of the soup. Personally hate giant pillows, but I know what to expect here and plan accordingly.
