The rooms were so quirky and clean, and each decorated in a theme. The bed was huge and so comfortable! They had the most adorable and cozy office decorated with antiques and memorabilia, with a beautiful wooden table set up with fresh fruit, oatmeal, pastries, coffee, cereal, juices, and more! All complementary! They even had an area with children's toys and old albums! Way more than I would have expected!

It couldn't have been better, especially for the great price!

Michael and Brandy were extremely friendly and welcoming. They gave us lots of information about what to do in the area. The breakfast provided was very good. The rooms have different themes, and our "Santa Fe Trail" room was tastefully decorated. The hotel is on the edge of town, and so is relatively quiet in terms of passing traffic.

The neighbours could be heard through the wall. I was hoping to observe the stars at night from the safety of the hotel parking area, but there were just too many lights around.

This is a little 50 style motorlodge. It has theme rooms, I got the pinup girls by chance and they were the old 1950's pin ups. Kinda like the ladies they put on the bombers in WWII. Like all hotels in Raton you get road noise but it quiets down at night with less traffic. They have free RUKU TV which I started a movie but too tired to watch the whole thing. Room was super clean and bed comfortable. I would stay there again.

We stepped back in time, al the way back to the 50’s! The decor, furniture, wall hangings, were all straight out of the 50’s! We were in the “Pinup” room, where, true to its name, there were 50’s Pinups all around the room!! I can see where my little mother-in-law might have been offended, because everything offended her!! However, there are other theme rooms, “Rodeo” “Home on the Range” and others, (I hope I got that name correct!) although, you might think the worst when you pull in the parking lot, your room will have all modern conveniences!! We were not in Raton long enough to really see anything, so I hate to comment.

Everything. Great friendly courtial owners. The room was good size but yet very cozy. Furnace and hot water was good as was the bed. Owner explained TV /movie channel operations which helped this Sr. And was much appreciated. I travel a lot and this is by far the most comfortable night I'd spent.

We loved the themed rooms. We had Friday the 13th. Very clean and had some old horror movie posters with an old tricycle and old box tv from the 70 or 80s.

In the bathroom next to the tub, the floor is unsteady and should be replaced for safety. We stayed 1 night didn't let it bother us. The beds seem to be updated to foam mattresses. For us not being use to foam beds, was uncomfortable.

What a unique spot to stay for a night! The owners were so easy to work with and had clear instructions for accessing our room as we arrived late at night. The vintage charm of the main office, the cozy breakfast table and breakfast bites and the comfort of our room made our stay memorable. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!

We liked the location - we were able to walk to the historic district of Ratón, where we admired the original part of town and also got a delicious pizza at Bruno's! We liked the way the rooms were decorated, and enjoyed the lobby area with all it's memorabilia. It was also very easy access to I-25.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Raton Pass Motor Inn - nice to find unique, comfortable accommodations for the same price or less as a generic and often mediocre chain hotel. The property was well-maintained and loved the theme rooms and retro decor. The location was great, close to I-25 and within walking distance of town. Friendly owners, free coffee and nibbles to start the day and a quiet night’s sleep - what’s not to like?

The Hosts were very nice and helpful. The memorabilia is awesome. Great coffee! Other items looked very nice.

Overall we loved our stay! Some feedback to be,hopefully,helpful though. 1. We had difficulty unlocking the door. Maybe a little WD40 on the key? 2. Both of us found the mattress to be uncomfortable. 3. The newer (higher) pedestal in the bathroom would have been better.
