Huge shoutout to front desk staff - we had to rekey cards multiple times, get change for laundry, extra towels and bedding, and they were BEYOND kind and accommodating. Likewise, the breakfast staff took such PRIDE in the buffet and it was obvious. Every condiment was lined up beautifully and it was so clean. I have never ever seen a breakfast buffet cared for so well.

The elevator always sounded like it was dying. The pool needs a refresh. Because of how the columns are positioned, it is hard to safely supervise kids. The size also makes it crowded. The hot tub was broken. We had requested a room on the first floor when we had made our reservation and received a response back that this would be accommodated but when we checked in, we found out that we were on the third floor. Next time, I would rather no answer than be promised our request would be honored and then find out that it is not and there is no explanation except “we are full.”

When you first enter building to check in you are greeted by a beautiful large lobby with a fire place.The breakfast room was huge and very inviting . The breakfast was excellent! The room was modern and oh so comfortable. We will make a point to stop in Trinidad again just to stay here. Oh and the indoor pool area was beautiful and the gym was great!

Trinidad Colorado is a beautiful place. The surrounding area is full of mountains, trails and nature. The hotel is set in front of a mountainous area and is just beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were super soft and cozy. The meal in the morning was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had! The quaint and cozy town of Trinidad is just a minute away. We had a wonderful meal at M2 and ice cream shop located on the main city drive. Food and atmosphere was fantastic. Small town feel and charm. You can tell that the pandemic was not kind to this area in regards to the business and tourism areas for their economy and it’s in rebuilding phase. It’s an area that we will definitely come back to again for the hiking and parks.

Clean and standardly comfy. Love all the body products in the shower! Nice view of the mountains. Easy to get delivery TO THE ROOM from Sunset Grille (and I highly recommend them!) Great breakfast for a chain!

The bear sign in the lobby, while helpful, was a little anxiety-causing lol! Our fridge smelled like onions strangely.

Breakfast wonderful The room wasn’t ready and we arrived about 5 pm But they were struggling with staff not showing up and others doing all the work It’s also annoying when hotels upcharge you and you have to watch your cc state for the correction several days later

The staff went up and above to make sure everyone that was stranded because of the storm was taken care of. All food in the city was closed due to weather but your staff provided sandwiches which was a god send with my three kids! Absolutely amazing job by staff!!!

I thought front desk staff rather aloff and indifferent during checkin. Morning person was very good! Breakfast was just average, which was very surprising since this was a Holiday Inn Express.

Nice job renovating this hotel. It actually smelled clean when I walked into my room. The beds are very comfortable. They even offer a wonderful cooked to order breakfast and good cinnamon rolls.

I bought a coke from the vending machine on the second floor. The price showed up as $1.60 but my credit card was charged $5.20. When I notified the front I was told I would have to call the coke company because they did not own the machine. I was offered some snacks which I declined. Also, I went to the desk to get caffinated coffee as all but one serving in my room was decaf.

Loved the view from our room! People were friendly and it was super clean!

we were so looking forward to the pool and jacuzzi  but unfortunately it was closed. one of the main reasons for picking the Hotel was to be able to relax after a 6 hour drive. Would of been nice if we were informed that the pool would be closed so we could of changed our plans if we chose to.

Easy access from all sides which made it really nice for walking pets.

Not much grass. The natural grassy areas was full of those spiny burr weeds that really bothered dog walks as the burrs would get stuck in the dogs feet
