According to the staff, this is an original 'Route 66' hotel. The parking area is not very big, but it has adequate space for the number of rooms. The hotel is located right next to a restaurant, which is convenient. There is a classic car out front and the hotel has retro vibes overall. It has been adequately renovated and cozy. The hotel is situated near the I-40.

What a charming property! I was exceedingly surprised! I rented two rooms . They were extremely clean, comfortable, updated and best of all ICE COLD AIR to help with my hot flashes. The property was well maintained with a picnic area, BBQ and plenty of parking. The staff was very accommodating to my 3:41AM arrival time! The sheets and towels were soft and the bed was comfy. I appreciated the hardwood floors.

There was NOTHING I didn’t like!

You are greeted very warmly and check in was very fast.It was extremely clean.The bed was very comfortable as we're the pillows.It was very quiet as well and I slept peacefully. I liked that check out was at noon! I was happy to be right next door to the best restaurant in Tucumcari..definitely try it. I highly recommend The Almara Inn!

Very clean(well above average), location next to very good restaurant, USB plugs in the lamps next to the bed- on both sides!, room was in updated and in excellent condition, able to log into my own streaming services on the TV, the bed was well above average in comfort. The decor was purposeful and not generic. Very comfortable.

The AC unit fan constantly cycled off and on, not an issue really, just woke a few times.

there is no breakfast nor an ice machine which was a little disappointing. Staff are helpful and room is very clean; beds are comfortable. It is a decent place for the price & is located within walking distance of Dels for tasty Mexican food. You have room to walk your dog behind the facility and even walk into a neighborhood if you like.

The property has a delightful retro look and was very clean. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. The lobby was very neat and attractive. The site felt secure even with the Del’s restaurant crowd whooping it up next door.

I would have preferred if the desk attendant had been present. I missed the personal touch, having checked in and out without seeing anyone. Jody’s text messaging was appreciated though. The towels and shower were great (except for some peeling paint). the front window didn’t close completely so outside noise was loud in the room. the Roku remote didn’t control the tv.

The location was good, bed comfortable, for being an older motel we were very happy with it. The couple that own/run it were very attentive to our needs. Couldn't get the TV to work and he got it fixed. They went out of their way to make us happy. Icing on the cake was homemade burritos for breakfast and their hospitality was above and beyond. The motel is a work in progress. We were happy with the Route 66 feel.

This place has a bunch of little touches that feel like it is run by someone who travels often. Checking in was super pleasant and friendly. There are a lot of food options nearby. The room was super clean and smelled nice like citrus (cleaning products, but not chemical). Even the comforter seemed like it had been laundered. There were 3 different pillows (soft, medium, and firm) and the mattress was very comfortable. The toiletries were luxury brands and the towels were soft and fresh. And Roku TV is such a nice change of pace from local cable no one knows the channel numbers to. They were super attentive even at checkout to make sure I didn't hit the road without being offered breakfast. 10/10 would stay again.

Nothing, really. It is an older building but for wherever it shows its age, it has been refreshed and is very clean. This is the motel for a new generation of road trippers.

This family owned business is working hard to be the best Route 66 motel in Tucumcari and they are almost there. It's clean, has comfortable beds, everything is in good working condition and Tiffany and Roel are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Tiffany even made a yummy hot dish to go with the usual continental breakfast. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely stay again.

There wasn't much not to like. Is it perfect? No. The good outweighs the improvements that could be made. One of the better Route 66 motels we've stayed in. Checks all the boxes.

The proprietor is absolutely amazing - so accommodating! The room was immaculate and very comfortable. And the location is perfect, right in the heart of Tucumcari.

I had no issues here at all, but be advised these are basic accommodations. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. No breakfast or ice machine here if that is something you're looking for.
