The staff were helpful and pleasant. We received an upgrade from front desk staff into a suite which was luxurious in terms of space for a manhattan hotel. It was clean and beds were comfortable. Bell hops hold your luggage if you come early or leave late and are friendly. Location was good, especially if you are looking to be near Broadway. Breakfast buffet was generous.

It’s Times Square so expect some noise. The hotel is busy so lobby can be crowded and breakfast was super crowded. That said, the staff work hard and are polite despite the volume of people and the wait times were minimal. The curtains are not black out, so if you are a light sleeper be aware.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location with lots of restaurants and stores on 8th avenue and only one block from Times Square. Room was very spacious

Riu plaza New York and Riu plaza Manhattan. It’s confusing two hotels that are so close. Plenty of closet space but would like to have had some more shelfs.

We LOVED our stay! For the price , everything was excellent! The rooms were comfortable , the staff was friendly and the location was perfect. The BREAKFAST was amazing. We enjoyed it every morning. And of course the views were pretty great too.

Nothing we didnt like but we were iffy about the “see through” wall of the shower right next to the bed. But we found a way to make it work. And there was a bit of a crowding issue around the area of the elevators in the mornings during breakfast time since the two areas are in close proximity.

The hotel was in a great area right in the heart of Manhattan and the staff was excellent.

When we tried to get to breakfast in the morning we could not get down in the elevators. I have a heart condition and horrible nurothopy due to my diabetes. That was a horrible long painful walk down 15 flights. Please find a better way with the morning breakfast elevator routine.

Beautiful hotel in a great area close to everything. The multiple elevators were the fastest I've ever been on.Free Breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. Huge area with tons of efficient, friendly staff clearing tables, cleaning and super customer service. I arrived really early thinking I'd have to store luggage but was checked in quickly. Comfortable beds and quiet.

No coffee maker in the room. The room was a little small but still comfortable. I really can't say much more on what not to like.

Breakfast buffet was great, bed was comfortable, view amazing, staff awesome. I could not have been happier! I especially loved what seemed to be a very close relationship between the staff. This property’s strength is the staff!

A throw or extra blanket in the room would have been welcome. We were often chilly, even with the heat at 22C (which should be really warm.) Also, the giant rat protest outside the hotel. I would be more comfortable if I was confident the staff were being treated (and paid) fairly.

Great location and view from the room was fantastic. Very clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

No coffee facilities within the room which was very disappointing for the price. Breakfast was very busy even at the recommended quieter times. This meant no lying in bed or your waiting in a queue for breakfast. The final thing was the glass wall in the bathroom!!! We are a family of 5 with two teenagers. They were mortified at the prospect of getting in the shower and their silhouette being seen by all in the room. With the light off it was less visible but you could still see shapes. Not ideal if you were sharing with friends!!

Very impressive hotel, great location, lovely staff. Breakfast was very good every day with a selection for everyone’s tastes. The room was really nice with a great view.

After initial confusion about my reservation for double bed room that was unavailable at check-in, the manager was able to accommodate with an acceptable room...king with sofa bed at the same price! The daily breakfast included in reservation was a very good full breakfast. All staff were very accommodating including bell staff that arranged car service to LaGuardia for retun flight home!!

Hotel location was close walking distance to the Hayes Theater where we enjoyed Fantastic performance of the play Purpose, Times Square, restaurants and shopping!!

Food, as far as we are concerned there is everything and more regarding choice nobody could argue that they serve up a terrific breakfast !!

How busy it gets at breakfast time…. Verging on a stampede 😡 Also I feel I must say about one person serving behind the bar, we were celebrating a family event and were going out for the evening when my wife popped into the bar asking for a few pieces of ice as we were having a couple in our room before going out dining, the girl gave my wife the ice after a strump and said next time we’ll charge for it !! I reported her next morning for being so rude considering what we had payed for our stay !! Nice to be nice…..NOT.
