The room was spacious and clean, and the sound isolation was good- no noise from the metro/street or the neighbors. Convenient location with lots of restaurants, bars and metro station around the corner.

The concept of “destination fee” of 15$ (plus tax) per night on top of the room rate is beyond ridiculous. A staff member woke us up with a phonecall at 8am (!!) on our checkout day to inform us that we need to pay the extra nonsensical fee (which was not mentioned when checking in). Then, at checkout nothing was requested (even after we asked about it), but then a charge was taken from the creditcard anyway. No self-respecting hotel should go through so much trouble to collect these nonsensical fees, having a room rate (whatever that amounts to) should include everything, as is the common practice in most places. Waking us up at 8am to ask for more money was so weird and unprofessional.

it was extremely comfortable and relatively central to what we required.

on arrival i asked the receptionist to add on an extra night. gave her credit card &c. but she didn’t do it. this was stressful when we were told we had to leave, but the manager was wonderful and rectified everything.

Hotel staff were very excellent; breakfasts and weekend brunches very good; evening meal choice fine. NY is good place for a romantic break. The hotel location is good for subway connections to Manhattan.

I know parts of Williamsburg. The location of this hotel was interesting but had its limitations - no coffee lounges or restaurants within walking distance; only corner grocery stores or liquor stores

Staff was friendly and response, hotel is very modern and clean, parking - they have a parking lot and you can go in and out (it is VERY small though so there’s no guarantee that parking will be available when you check in), there is street parking (beware of street parking signs), check-in and check out was smooth, there’s a beautiful bar/restaurant onsite (can’t speak on the food but it looked appetizing). Although there were things that could have been better to make things easier for my children, I really don’t have complaints. We had a great stay.

Room/bathroom not really designed for children/families but I knew that was likely the case when I booked it, the microwave and ice machine is in the cellar with the restaurant which means you have to basically go through the restaurant to access those amenities.

Honestly so glad I stayed here! We were in town for a wedding and did not want to stay at the hotel listed on the invitation so I had to do some searching of my own. Came across this gem and I am so glad I did. From the room to the staff to the cleanliness. I would definitely stay here again and recommend my friends to stay as well. The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious enough for my 2 night stay. Anything we needed, the staff immediately responded and delivered. Even the lobby had such a cute vibe with its movie screen wall cycling through different scenes, me and my partner sat in the lobby just to watch them all!

The only one thing I would say was about the restaurant where we had complimentary breakfast. Although the food was good and tasty and way better than your typical oatmeal and mini boxes of cereal, the food didn’t come out hot. It was teetering between room temp and warm. But the food still hit the spot and again it was complimentary which was a bonus!! After a few bloody Mary’s and espresso martinis, the temp of the food didn’t even matter!

Loved all the detail (robes, slippers, bottle of wine, breakfast for 2, shower pressure, fridge in room, friendliest of all staff)! Also loved the very short distance to the subway! We had a parking spot ($45/night) and it seemed like there was always at least 1 spot open every day we were there.

The location is definitely a bit shady and run down, but not the hotel’s fault. It’s probably hard to find a “nice” area in the NYC area these days. However, this hotel definitely made you feel safe and comfortable regardless, and again, you couldn’t be any closer to a main subway station!

Very nice hotel in a strange neighborhood. This hotel is not near downtown Williamsburg. It's more of a residential neighborhood. There aren't many restaurants near the hotel. There are 2 subway lines within a block or two of the hotel that make trips into lower Manhattan and Queens very easy. There's also a bus stop at the far end of the street. The room was a good size, very clean with large windows. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The shower had enough hot water for two people to shower without the water getting cold. There was a wardrobe where you could hang up your clothes. There was also a safe for valuables. They had a complimentary bottle of wine, water, and chocolate in the room, which was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly. They gave us some good restaurant recommendations. Check-in and check out were very easy. The hotel is about 25 minutes from LaGuardia via taxi.

Clean, comfortable and very close to Hewes st station. Relatively new hotel in a good area, local shops and dining options nearby. Friendly staff.

A so called 'lodgingfee' or 'resortfee' billed from my creditcard afterwards is something I did not appreciate, took me a long discussion with booking.com. This fee isn't clearly mentioned at the booking site which should definitely be more transparent for customers. I am sure the hotel's review rating will improve significantly when transparency is there upfront.

After reading some of the comments I went to the hotel with concerns, but everything was of the highest standard, proximity to the subway very big plus! To manhattan road takes max 15 min. Bed very large and comfortable, room clean, staff very friendly and helpful. A big plus is free to leave your luggage at the hotel after check out. I had concerns about the additional hidden fees that some people talked about in their reviews, but I was informed of all the additional costs as soon as I arrived at the hotel ($200 deposit, $20 per night tourist fee, and in-room beverages coffee, tea and water).

The only downside is the loud subway which can be heard at night if one is a poor sleeper, but earplugs take care of the problem.

Great location, most reception staff were very helpful and the hotel was spotless. Comfortable beds and wardrobe space was a plus.

Four out of the six times we attempted to eat in the restaurant the kitchen was closed. This was a shame because the food was really nice, and breakfast would have been convenient, especially on the morning of my daughters wedding. This meant I had no time to sort alternative arrangements, and resulted in me having nothing to eat until after the wedding, which was mid afternoon. Some warning would have been very helpful.
