Our room was VERY spacious, particularly for New York. Lots of room to spread out and work, if that is part of your plan. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good and a real bargain for New York. Sitting areas were plentiful and spacious and the always-available cucumber-infused water was delicious. The hotel is wonderfully quiet, for those seeking a quiet haven.

Fitness room is VERY dark and should be brightened up. It would be great if coffee was available throughout the day. Location is a bit distant from the local restaurants and the fact that the hotel sits at the edge of an industrial area means you can hear the trucks early in the a.m. but it’s still worth the stay.

The bed was so comfortable and the room had everything I needed. The hotel was stylish, lovely art in the room. I didn't know there was a gym and was delighted there was one. The location was very close to whom I was visiting so it was perfect but also a lovely treat for my holiday. Massive 2 tv's in the room, couch, great wifi

Everything! The staff went above and beyond to make my 9 night stay well beyond my expectations. A special shoutout to Jordy and Joseph (apologies for forgetting everyone’s names) As a well travelled woman in her 70’s who has family in Brooklyn, this is without doubt one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. When I arrived at 3am after enduring an arduous journey from Australia combined with missed connections, lost luggage and in a distressed state….I was greeted by a smiling angel named Joseph who was also armed with some much needed snacks 🙏🏻 And Jordy….your relentless endeavours to find me the perfect room were greatly appreciated. The rooms are beautiful and more than twice the size of what one has come to expect in NY. If you’re a little noise sensitive my suggestion is, for a few dollars more, stay on the 3rd floor.

Traveled from Scotland for my nieces wedding in Williamsburg. Stayed for 6 nights with my daughter and would happily return. Staff are so friendly, attentive and quick to resolve any issues encountered…a real credit as not always the case in every NY hotel. Rooms are spacious and very clean with everything you could possibly need. Location is perfect, close to lots of coffee shops, restaurants, bars and a couple of nice parks. 10min walk to subway and 20mins to NYC ferry terminal at Greenpoint. Continental breakfast was lovely and sets you up nicely for a busy day, Abbie was the perfect host…❤️ Greenpoint is my new favourite NY destination. We will be back! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Only niggle was the sofa bed, not the comfiest and extremely squeaky, even when sitting on as a sofa. Luckily I was always shattered after a full day of walking and managed to sleep…maybe time to think of replacing them!

The room including the bathroom was a good size considering it is New York City! Everything is walkable with restaurants, bars, and cafes within 10-15 minutes walk in Greenpoint. The staff were lovely and accommodating, offering water bottles and helping us arranging a taxi to the airport. It was the first time we stayed somewhere where house keeping comes every 3 nights to encourage sustainability. Breakfast was continental style with delicious pastries. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay somewhere more quiet and residential!

The closest subway was a 15 minutes walk away and cafes being a 10 minutes walk away. Behind the hotel there is a coach bus parking lot and was more industrial. However, in front of the hotel was very residential and quiet. If it is your first time visiting NYC, then I would consider accommodation in Manhattan as it usually takes 35-60 minutes to commute to any of the touristic attractions in NYC.

Exceptional front desk staff and unique decor that didn't feel like a corporate hotel. Light but adequate breakfast, amazing array of snacks and drinks in the room for a typical hotel price, and nice seating areas Located on a quieter street but near lots of restaurants, a beautiful smaller city park with a great childrens' playground and interesting war memorial, 15 minute walk to G-Line Subway or an easy transfer into Manhattan.

A suggestion is simply to have coffee ready at 7:30 even if the rest of breakfast isn't out. We had a charming room with terrace looking at the skyline, but I wondered if guests were told that there were some communal terraces that they could use as well. Possibly a bigger size bed in a room that could have easily handled it.

We love the quirky and thoughtful decor. The designer created a comfortable ‘at home’ vibe. HNH is a converted warehouse. We had a fantastic 2 room apartment with an outdoor balcony, overlooking the skyline. All amenities to make your stay were provided. Way more than normal! The staff were friendly, location great, very much in the middle of a neighbourhood. We would stay again.

Two suggestions only. The space either side of the bed was tight to move in, with no room for a bedside table. Maybe a small shelf could be installed. Also, there was only a small set down shelf in the bathroom, so we had to put our bathroom bags on the floor.

Great meeting place to be with family who live close and have smaller spaces. The lounge is so nice ! Lovely room with the two balconies. Large rooms. Great service and super clean !

The price of the room should have included a king size bed. Also booking thru booking.com, we were supposed to get a ride from the airport to the hotel - several attempts to contact and make this happen failed. All I received were requests for more information. If the hotel itself would match the price, they wouldn’t need to pay a commission to booking.com. First night in a large room in the lower level - not fond of that room and I would ask to be moved.

We stayed in a balcony room that faced the front of the hotel. The balcony was huge by NYC standards and had a table and chairs which was awesome. The room was clean and had sufficient AC as it it was BOILING hot in NYC while we were there. My husband said the gym was great, as well.

The lighting in the room could have been better. It also would have been nice to have a mirror in the main room (outside the bathroom) so two people could get ready simultaneously. Lastly, another shelf for toiletries in the bathroom would have been great, as the soap dispenser was right above the only shelf in the bathroom and dripped soap on everything.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Henry Norman Hotel. The location was excellent, situated in a lovely neighborhood with plenty of nice shops and convenience stores just a short walk away. The room was impressively spacious and well-appointed, with all the expected amenities and some thoughtful extras. I especially appreciated the well-stocked minibar and the overall comfort of the space. Breakfast was fairly average, but everything else more than made up for it. The overall experience was relaxing and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to stay here again on a future trip to New York.

During check in in the evening the male receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. While checking out there was another female receptionist which had a very weird and condescending tone. Other than that all was good.
