The location is great, situated right in the center of things. Great restaurants and bars all around. The rooms are clean and bright. Decor is a kind of motel-chic, retro vibe. The staff are nice. It's literally attached to a parking garage so if you have a car that's pretty convenient - although parking is free on the street on weekends. The pool area hosts some parties at the weekend which were interesting.

As another reviewer mentioned happened to them, we were told on arrival that our corner king room with city view was not available (maintenance they said) and only a smaller interior room with no windows was available - which was upsetting. We were promised a switch to a suite the following night and a credit to use at the hotel bar/restaurant/parking to make up for it. While we just had to take it on faith, the manager did make good on those promises. He made the confirmation adjustments and sent us a thank you note for our flexibility.

The location was within walking distance to Durham Performing Arts Center, I had the pool to myself Easter Sunday :) We walked to the Counting House and M Sushi great food!

We were in a corner King room, the layout was odd. There was a couch that faced the bathroom. There was body wash in the shower, but no shampoo or conditioner make sure you bring your own. The hair dryer was behind the door in the water closet.

The location is perfectly in the middle of downtown with parking attached. We are locals so we can vouch for how central it is. The room was clean and the bathroom is really nice and modern. The pool is one of very few in downtown Durham. Super helpful staff, especially at the front desk! It's pet friendly, too.

The pool view rooms are small and noisy. We booked a corner city view room but none were available when we checked in. I would definitely not pick a pool view unless you're going to party.

I loved everything about the room, the view, the location, and the check in personnel were extraordinary. They took their time, was customer service friendly, and did not rush.

The only bad experience my friends and I had was at the bar (black short guy with dreads and glasses) on the roof top. He was very rude. He totally ignored my friend when she tried to place her order. The food was not good either.

Location and staff were fantastic , the bed was very comfortable.

I need to work in the hotel room when I travel for work obviously. The desk in the room was pretty much unusable because there was a TV on the desk instead of hanging on the wall. The parking system is a little goofy. I had an issue that was corrected by the staff.

The rooftop pool,bar,and in house restaurant. The fries are great,followed by the flatbread pizza's...really pretty much everything on menu is A1,we stayed at unscripted last summer,and the food was slammin again,Fish Taco's, all the way baby...

Only thing, for me,that could've been better is if there was a Jacuzzi on the premises. But other than that,me and wifey absolutely love this place.

The location of the site was fantastic. I expected more for a corner king-size room, but the room was similar to others, and I didn't see any difference. The pool is really tiny and it's only suitable for children. the noise level around the pool should be reduced on weekends.

The breakfast was useless, with no vegetarian options. It was really shocking to see not many options and veggie foods.

I loved the friendly staff, great location, and mad men decor. It was very colorful and lively. The bar by the rooftop pool was lots of fun with nice appetizers. Doug took care of us at the poolside bar and gave us recommendations on downtown spots. The place was immaculately clean and the bed super comfortable.

I was there for a week and there were no drawers to unpack into and not enough hangers for an entire week in the closet. Showers designed without closing doors so you will get some H2O on the bathroom floor. Minor issues though and if I was not there an entire week I would likely not have noticed.

Great location, just a short walk to DPAC and Carolina Theatre. Friendly ,helpful, and accommodating staff. Great lobby area. Nice having a restaurant and bar on location. Nice having the parking on each floor, making unloading/loading a breeze. Loved the artwork in and around the hotel. Clean and comfortable beds.

No microwaves in rooms, small refrigerators. People/staff were loud around the pool area in the morning, considering check out was at noon.

With a very lively atmosphere into the eve and a beyond sanitary room involving a great view, my two day stay at Unscripted was remarkable. The staff members, with a friendly manor, are quick to help with anything asked. Overall, a beyond pleasant experience with this location and would recommend this place to any group or individual, especially those looking for easy parking and room access from car.

The shower in my king room did not have the ability to close it but the glass enclosure was sufficient for keeping water off the bathroom floor(likely modern style I don’t understand; looks very nice). The thermostat was difficult to dial in. Not sure if it was operator error but toward the end of the stay, I got it in check (certainly my own fault for not asking any questions).
