Cool location downtown. The hotel itself is really fun with an art gallery and things to walk around and look at. The view from my room was great, and the bed was pretty comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The building is old and the windows aren’t well insulated. I was there in the summer heat dome and it was pretty hot in my room even with the shades down and the ac on blast. Seems like the vent was pointed straight at the little entry hall where the door was so maybe was loosing the cool air to the hall. I think a fan or something to circulate the air would have been helpful.

Ok, for anyone taking the time to read these reviews, BOOK NOW! So, I am a bit of a snob when it comes to hotel stays. I expect to receive everything I paid for which includes the customer service. Therefore, I pay for top notch quality and that is exactly what I received. Let's start with my arrival. I didn't have to worry about parking because Stan took care of valet parking before I could say onomatopoeia. He greeted me the way an uncle would...a friendly smile, confident in his job, and sure that my car would be in good hands. I forgot the young lady's name at check in (her race absolutely does not mattet but if it help to get kudos to the right person, she was a yound African American with beautiful braids) but she also very friendly and professional. Checking in was a breeze. It might take you longer than expected to get to your room, not because of checking in but because you will be amazingly overwhelmed by all of the artwork in the lobby. Next, my room was perfect. Nice view of the city, comfortable bed (not too soft and not too firm) clean fresh white sheets, a fridge, beautiful black tiled bathroom. Can we pause for the shower. I'm talking perfect shower pressure and temperature ladies. Oh and cute touch with the lil rubber 🦆❤️. I don't use microwaves but after visiting the restaurant downstairs... The restaurant. The chef!!! Do not order your food to your room. If possible, sit in the restaurant because the wait staff is freaking awesome. They are all very attentive (and handsome 😍). Ok, back to the chef. I didn't get to meet her but she deserves an award. Oh wait, I think she got one. Ask about it! I ordered the Japanese sweer bread and gnocchi. I can't even describe the beautiful flavors my taste buds experienced but it was damn delicious. Their drinks give exactly what they are supposed to give. Nothing is watered down. I glanced in the gym. Yes, glanced because I went to relax not work. LOL.

We love the particular room of our most recent of 4 stays, however not all rooms are created equally. It seems the hotel has done some upgrades to some rooms. The location is amazing and the restaurant food is excellent. The gym, steam room and museum make the stay wonderful!

Some rooms are just not functional and need renovations and upgrades. Some of the furniture makes no sense and the plugs in some rooms or some areas of rooms are old or not working. The quality is just not consistent. Also, the elevators are old, unclean, and tend to not work quite often.

I really enjoyed being immersed in the art and exploring the building.

They offer a late check out for an additional $150, which is fine. But that fee is not incorporated into the cost of staying another night if one should need to do so. I found this out because I had issues with my flight out of Durham and was unsure if I would need/want to stay another night.

The property is situated in a prime location, impeccably clean, with fantastic decor and ambiance. There's a lively bar area on the first floor, and the hostess, valet, and everyone I encountered were exceptionally friendly. The art gallery walkthrough on the second floor was an outstanding feature. I will definitely stay here again, and if there are other properties in the places I visit, I will choose to stay there as well.

The space was excellent. The museum was impressive and I would love to visit again. The room amenities were great. The bar and restaurant provided excellent service. So many things were considered for my comfort.

My TV was a bit dark and I didn't have a room with a view. I really would have loved to see more of the city from my window.

The location is terrific, the artwork is super cool, the room was GREAT, and the staff is super nice.

The signage for overnight parking was written incorrectly, showing that the cost was $10. At checkout, we were told that the cost was actually $30. That was an unexpected and disappointing surprise (had we known, we would have parked on the street).

Vic was absolutely brilliant! She made the stay amazing! We enjoyed our tour of the gallery and her impeccable insight and conversation. She is a .true asset to your organization. We will definitely be back in 2025

The bar staff should be better trained to milti-task and handle customer issues with better tact and humility.

The location was great. I didn’t do breakfast even though it was supposed to be included. I didn’t know where it was and there was no info in the room. The art was interesting.

There could have been some seating in the foyer as you wait for the valet to bring your car around. That was a little disorganized. The wrong car the first time and they didn’t get the message from the front desk the second. So both times a wait. Seating would have been nice.

The room was extremely clean and the location was optimal based on the activities I planned for my trip. Around the area there are plenty of restaurants with diverse food and options for every budget.

Nothing I could think of besides pricing.. I think that a 150USD fare would be more suitable. In addition I would suggest to provide some references or options nearby whenever you want to explore the area.
