Close to the beach

Continental breakfast was bad. There should be grab and go selections like yogurt or milk. I don’t want to touch a gallon jug on milk that everyone else has put their hands on. The breakfast sandwiches were not good. On the first day there were no English muffins so the sandwich was put on a hamburger roll. Wish there would have been hot options like bacon, sausage links, or biscuits. The Best Western in Wilmington near Wrightsville beach could be an example of a good breakfast. Found a roach in the hallway by the elevator.

First the important stuff the facility was super clean and safe! It is going through a big remodel but never heard the actual construction. It is about a mile from the beach and was super easy drive to get to anywhere. The breakfast was decent with a super friendly staff all the way around.

Needed to put grab bars in the shower area of room along with some sort of friction surface in the bath tub. I suspect this is part of the remodel. Pool was closed but suspect that was due to early spring weather.

The staff was wonderful, everything was clean and the beds were comfortable.

We had issues with the plumbing on our room. The toilet would not flush properly and water stood in the tub when trying to take a shower. The blow dryer did not work. The food was adequate but not great and the pool was very cloudy; need some daily maintenance. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay again!

Overall, this hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The hotel location is right before the bridge access to North Topsail beach, so a mere 5 minutes from the public beach access. The king suite is spacious and comfortable, and the bed was also comfortable. The pool was a decent size and shallow enough for our 5-year-old to touch the ground at both entrances and gets a little deeper toward the middle.

You can hear the adjacent rooms more than other hotels we've stayed in. The bed is incredibly tall which was a bit hard to get into for those of us who are rather short. There is a little bit of moldy areas in the shower, but less than some other more expensive hotels we've stayed at. The pool is not heated so it was pretty cool when we went (early September).

The location of the hotel was perfect, Minutes to the beach and right next to a golf course! Hotel room was clean, quiet, and the morning breakfast that was included had many food choices and was fantastic. All staff that we encountered were so friendly and our room was refreshed with towels and anything else we needed daily. I would highly recommend and would go back!

They have an area for the dogs but at night it is too dark to go there. Need some solar lights at least. Breakfast area gets a little congested with so many people because all the areas are so close. Need to label the utensils canisters so you do t have to keep Pulling the item out to see if it is a fork or spoon.

The pool is awesome but it should stay open longer than 8pm in the summer.beds are comfy and loved the mirror in the bathroom.

Room wasn't ready when we got there and even tho I picked out a pet friendly room it was 35 extra bucks for my dog that only slept the whole time.pool closed at 8 when the sun is still out.

My dad and I go on a Father/Daughter fishing trip every summer. Your hotel was by far the best we've stayed in over the 15 years we've been doing this. The location was perfect, and the staff was welcoming and professional. When we checked out, one of us accidentally left our wallet/purse in our room. When we returned after fishing to ask about it, Adam had it at the front desk. Kristi had found it in our room and was honest to turn it in. My dad and I are super appreciative of your integrity, Kristi! We'll be back next year.

Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the young black lady behind the counter when I checked in Monday night around 10:00pm. She was the nicest, sweetest, kindest young woman I have met in quite a long time. I was on vacation with my family and we got into an argument, when I arrived at the hotel I was really upset. She could not do enough to try and calm me down. Water, tissues, talk, warm fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. She was the best!!!! She really deserves some sort of recognition! She was wonderful.

The property exceeds expectations.

The reservation system through Booking dot com was a disaster. Total communication failure between them and the property resulted in a loss for me, the property and Booking dot com losing my patronage.
