The young lady at the front desk went above and beyond to to accommodate my request for a room on the ground floor.they were booked she managed to more around some things and even went and helped clean the room and called when it was ready.. The manager was pleasant and and spoke to everyone. The rooms were bigger than I expected and my husband's wheelchair moved around easily. All the amenities mentioned was there right down to the grill outside. The atmosphere was more like family than strangers next door. If your looking for comfortable, friendly and like being home, then this is the place to be. Oh yes it's pet friendly. I must add the AC was was central. It was great.

It could have used a rug in the living room. Really nothing I didn't like

The rooms are spacious and I enjoyed the kitchen options. Rooms cancel out any noise from the outside, thank goodness.Windows open. The staff are friendly and helpful and it's generally clean and well maintained. Good value for money. Mike's super nice and helpful.

The outdated furniture. The loud yelling lady with her 4 screaming kids down the hall...but that's not the hotels fault.

The first room we got was leaking and the guy that was handling the property kinda rude at first but he put us in the second room and it was very nice and comfy..by the way the lady in the office in the morning was extremely nice and helpful

Bed was comfortable. Kitchen good with essentials.

Seems like people live there long term and are loud. Chest of drawers showing much wear. Spigot at kitchen sink needs screw to connect handle. No clean towels just one set for the week and room not cleaned or trash emptied all week. Given wrong sized room upon arrival. Did switch rooms.

The room was spacious and very clean. The location is perfect if you're visiting one of the military bases. After spending a small fortune on flights and a rental car, I didn't want to go broke on a hotel, but I also hate staying in depressing places. This was perfect: cheerful, clean, pleasant from the outside, easy parking, easy to get to. In particular, the hotel's management was excellent. They were super responsive to messages, gave me all the info I needed, arranged a smooth and easy after-hours check-in, and were attentive and concerned. Very happy with my interactions with the manager, and will definitely stay here again.

Nothing. It exceeded my expectations. Visiting your child on a military base is always going to be an emotional time, and it was great not to have to stress about accommodation on any level.

I booked the room through a third party site. When I got to Affordable Suites, they could not find the reservation. He said that they were all booked up, but if they weren't he would have rented us a room. I thanked him and as I proceeded to leave, I found the reservation and the manager apologized for the confusion. The reservation did not show up on his end from the 3rd party. Since I had the reservation already, he called Candlewood and explained our situation. After speaking with their manager, he told me that they had a room. I already prepaid for our room, so he just paid the difference which was $100 more and apologized again for the mishap. That was very nice of him and they will always have my business!

me and my family were there for an event and we liked it very much, mike the owner was very nice and helpful with everything. the apartment was way bigger than expected and very clean, def will come back!

the first night the guest in the top floor seemed like they were having a fight and argued and yell all night. def did not enjoy that however the owner apologized to us the next day and stated it was taken care off.

Host was very accomodating. Facilities were clean and at a very convenient location in the center of all restuarants.

It was a good choice as far as the location. It was roomy. The staff gave us the room an extra night for the same price we rented the room for. All in all it was great!!

very home feel. liked the living room and kitchen separate from bedroom. it was emasculate and clean kitchen fully stocked and just all around great. made two meals spagetti and breakfast with ease ease just bring a cloth or sponge for dishes . bathroom roomy and clean and shower relaxing . bedroom nice and spacious good location to Walmart and dollar tree and restaurants . beach’s only 45 mins away or so from emeralds isle or topsail. 1hr from Wilmington. the owner runs it ski s h txts you the day of with convenient instructions on checkin and check out.

the only thing I wasn’t big on was the weird smell in the bedroom. smelled a cross between alcohol and something finicky. only in that areas . after hours didn’t smell any more
