The parking is wonderful because the spaces are each wide enough to open car doors on both sides of the car without hitting other cars.

The Manager is being taken advantage of by foreigners who mostly reside on the East Coast. They are typical cheap, money grubbers of the Second World type.The Manager is infact excellent and working way too hard. I'm certain the owners will lose him, much to the detriment of this classic landmark. The Manager here is expected to be the Maintenance, Concierge, Tree Service, Landscaping and Security man in addition to being a local guide, bookkeeper father of three and often a counselor to strangers that come through. Operating a hotel, bringing a hotel up to American Hospitality standards with so little support from the owners is an accomplishment in any case. I would hire him away from here in an instant, but his ethics are TOO strong. Awesome.

The Inn is located between the must-visit Harris Beach and restaurants, shopping, and the beautiful port of Brookings about a mile away. There are 3 rows of suites, one very close to Hwy101, and the other two set back and above the first. It is possible to see the ocean from the property which is a pleasant reminder of why one chooses to visit the area. The room was comfortable but there were a couple of items that needed attention- The helpful management responded positively to my concerns and appreciated the input. I definitely would stay here again.

I pre-booked a special on a king room which was cozy, but located in the first tier about 4 car lengths from Hwy101. The windows had been upgraded and the noise level from traffic was minimal. At night nearly no traffic, but a light sleeper would be unhappy. I would have preferred a room on tier two or three, especially if staying 2 to 4 nites.

Room was clean ,new floors,paint looks like the owners are working on it and it shows they care. Shawna at the front desk was awesome very nice young lady was so helpful taking care of our needs with the reservation . If we decide to stay in Brookings again I would not hesitate to stay there again.

The only thing I would change is the ability to get fresh air at night didn’t feel comfortable leaving the window open all night or adding A/C

I just needed an affordable night off of highway 5, the room was cheap and I trust choice hotels. The check in was pleasant, the manager even walked us to our room to make sure we used the air condition properly, it was 100+ degrees outside. From the outside it looked like I would not be happy but very pleased when entering the room it was clean, small but comfortable. A mix of old and new inside but it was all fine.

Staff is very welcoming. Very old motel, but they continue to work very hard making improvements. My room was sparkly clean and smelled fresh.

I wish the beds were the taller, more modern style bed, and I prefer the fluffy comforters that are usually in a duvet. Just my personal opinion, but I feel that the bed should be the star of the room.

The staff there was exceptional, both cleaning and desk staff. Thus is an older place, but pretty well maintained. Our room was clean and we appreciate that! It was a great value for our limited budget and we loved our trip!

When we plugged things in and used them, it flipped a breaker in the room. My husband knew how to flip it back on, and it was no problem for him.

It had a nice view. The bed was pretty comfortable and the room was spacious. Free wifi and parking. The hosts were easy going and helpful.

The bathroom is really small. Not much room to put your toiletries. The closet is unnecessarily oversized and walls are very thin. Easy to hear conversations in other rooms and outside your room.

Very clean. Management was welcoming and friendly even as they were filling in themselves for housekeeping staff that were out sick. Bathroom recently remodeled to a nice modern feel. Shower hot..nice! This is an old motel, they are working hard to make it more comfortable.

The floors were cold, no carpet, but I grew up on the coast..sandy feet and carpets don't work well. I think a nice size beachy throw rug would add something.

The room was big and already nice and warm upon arrival. We did not arrive until 930 at night. Checking in was a breeze. The hot water stayed warm for a very nice long hot shower. Overall our stay was great and we'll definitely be back!

Our 2 queen beds were actually full-size beds, but we still slept ok. The sheets and blankets were comfortable. The pillows were not, though. There were only 2 pillows per bed, and they were kind of flat. I'm sure if we had asked for more pillows, they would have gladly given us different pillows/more. ( i didn't ask cause it was 11pm by that point)

Hotel was well-located off the hiway just north of downtown, and also within walking distance of a state park to the north. Parking was readily available, as was wifi.

There is a $20/nite pet fee, rather excessive esp for our 3 nite stay. Typically, such fees are either smaller per-nite or apply only once.
