Our stay was very comfortable. We had multiple family members traveling together, so the two bedrooms and bathrooms offered privacy, and the sitting room allowed us to gather together at the end of the day...much nicer than having two separate hotel rooms. There were full size sodas and water in the fridge and plenty of coffee pods for each morning. We really enjoyed the breakfast offered in the morning. It was a lovely room, with a variety of homemade breakfast options. People chatted with each other and it was a lovely way to start the day.

It was an older building, so we understood there were some limitations. Our room faced the street and many large trucks could be heard loudly through the old glass windows. The blinds had seen better days and were difficult to raise and lower. We wished the tv was a bit bigger, and the wifi connection kept dropping out so it was a challenge to try to watch tv in the evening. One of the showers was wonderful, but the other was hard for my father to get hot water (it may have been human error).

The property is beautifully furnished and our every need seems to have been anticipated. Many extra touches of care, such as spa toiletries, mini fridge, luxurious sheets, etc. Our host went above and beyond, even calling to check on us when we hadn’t arrived (we were lost) and coming outside in the cold to lead us to the parking area, carrying a bag,etc. He was absolutely a dream host.

Breakfast was delicious, and I enjoyed the personal service while dining. Made use of the bathrobe, not something I usually experience in a standard hotel.

I have bad knees, so three flights of stairs was challenging. Parking was right.

Host was very friendly. One of the rooms wasn't heating up quickly so she gave me another room which was larger. Breakfast was excellent. They made sure I had everything I needed. Great gift of hospitality and loves talking to guest. Guest needed a cheesecake and she had an extra pie and asked if they wanted it. Loved extra touches in bathroom. Highly recommend this place.

My first room and bathroom was too cold-it was back in the house and room was harder to heat but they graciously gave me another room.

The Carlisle House is a beautiful 19th century treasure, lovingly kept. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much and look forward to returning soon.

If you want to avoid street noise, you might want to choose one of the rooms in the back of the house.

Lovely place to stay while in town for a graduation. Building was warm and cozy, like staying at a friend's historic home. Quiche for breakfast was delicious, and they were able to include our graduate who joined us.
