The Lodge is set in a pristine wooded area on Pine Creek. Our suite balcony faced the creek with the rising sun greeting us in the morning. The property was peaceful and welcoming. We enjoyed the creekside gazebo and the relaxing hot tub. Our room was cozy, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the knotted pine walls and cabinets with the woodsy decor. The kitchen was a great bonus as we were able to fix our own breakfast and eat out on the balcony.

We did experience two things that were not very enjoyable. Our queen bed was extremely creaky and rather uncomfortable. And there was a lot of light coming in around our door from the hallway. Not the best night of sleep.

The property was beautiful and peaceful. The room was comfortable and had almost everything we could possibly need.

We did not know until we got to the property that linens were only available for a fee and we were to let them know asap upon receipt of a text. The problem was that we did not receive the text until we got there at4:30 pm and called the number on the door of the activity room. We ended up driving a long way to the nearest Walmart to purchase linens. Bringing linens was not a problem but it would have been nice if the website informed us of that policy.

It was very clean. I appreciate the beautiful views.

The list of things you have to do before you leave. Strip your bed which you are charged for linens. The charge was disclosed at booking. Taking out your trash to the dumpster without tell you where the dumpster was located. A map would have helped. Now this being said if you are 65 with a bad knee and you’re on the top floor of the suites building the added ups and downs with your own personal items was a little more than I expected. The driveway is a little tricky pulling out. Especially east.

Cleanliness. The room/bathroom were spotless. They had TV, DVD, even a VCR. They left gave a cute piece of chocolate to welcome you. We had a balcony patio with rocking chairs and table, The kitchen included a large refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. All were clean and ready to use. They supplied you with sheets and towels for an extra fee, but we brought our own. They just finished remodeling a Welcome Room with pool table, foosbal table. board games and hot tubs. The grounds were beautiful along a creek and there were plenty of grills to use. We wished we could have stayed an extra night to enjoy everything more. We were about 1/2 hour away from Cherry Springs Park to watch the meteor shower. I cannot praise this property enough. They thought of every little detail to make your stay pleasant.

There was nothing not to like about this property.

Well first off the cabin was different then the one I booked online but definitely a lot nicer then I expected. For our first time ever staying there I would book that one again and again. Although it rained most of our stay we were still able to explore the area and especially enjoyed the creek. Love that it's dog friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views were so beautiful. We did not want to leave!!

There was not a single thing we didn't like about our stay. It was phenomenal!!!

Love the size of the room, the fireplace, the balcony, the game room, other amenities in room (hair dryer, kitchen appliances), cleanliness, lighting, the extra heater in the bathroom, the availability of a hot tub! (even though I didn't get a chance to use it :() & the hot water in shower.

I had forgotten how steep the stairs are :( needing 2 new knees, so ascending and descending stairs was not a good choice for me; the control for fireplace was confusing, and the hot water for the shower took a long time to generate, which almost caused me a panic attack! Lastly, the bed was comfy at first but didn't last :(

The pine creek was close. We enjoyed the hot tube and welcome center with pool table and games.

The bed was loud and creaky. The couches were very uncomfortable. Due to the fact that it was no contact check in. We had a few other guests, stopping to ask us where their cabins were. I think there could be a little bit more communication.

Surprise on arrival.well stocked room.coffee pot with packets of coffee.linens provided extras in closet.Bathroom spotless,good hot water.tected Michelle on arrival quick response from her advising any needs contact her.

Only complaint is the entrance from rt 6.first timers need to know to enter from roadway in direction travelling not try make a left turn into driveway. You.

The suite was spotless and made you feel like you were in a cabin!! The owners made sure we had everything we needed and answered all our questions quickly . The property is beautiful , and the hot tubs are definitely a plus in the cooler weather! They have a cute welcome center to hang out in too! We will definitely be staying again if we are in the area again .

My wife really inspects the rooms making sure it is clean and no bugs, etc. This was are 2nd stay at Rough Cut Lodge and both times the rooms were very clean. The location was great near, the Pine Creek Trail. We got 47 miles in on our peddle bikes over 3 days to match our 45 years of marriage, very thankful! It was really nice to have the stove and refrigerator in our suite which helped keep our cost for our trip within budget. The staff helped us with things like making sure the gas stove was working, etc. Chris, the owner, even checked the security cameras to make sure no one was messing with our bikes but turned out it was I who had not pulled the strap through the latch to secure the bike. Will be coming back again if the stay is within our budget!

Everything was fine! It would have been nice to have a nice big tub to soak my sore muscles in after all the bike rides. The shower was smaller but worked fine!
