Loved the close beach access, pool and lazy river were nice and loved the tiki bar. Also had a good hot breakfast each morning.

Needs to replace outside light bulbs in hallways on each floor in annex. It was dark in spots.

I Loved the view and the location was absolutely perfect! Just Perfect!! They have an indoor pool that's so warm it almost feels like a hot tub; and they cleaned the pool area and the pool every morning which was a plus. Again, the facilities were very clean (no bugs) and I liked that you could take breakfast AND drinks to your room, which most places won't allow you to do.

Overall it was a great stay! Honestly, the only thing I might do if I were management is fix the tiny spots in the toilet, which probably just come from use and then maybe paint over the peeling paint on the outside of the balcony. These, however, are VERY small things (aesthetically) and which may explain why I also got such a good deal on the room in the first place! I can't complain.

The location was great! The beds were super comfortable! The breakfast was pretty decent every morning.

The elevator!! The elevator broke at least four times during our stay. The day before we checked out, it broke down for what the maintenance man told us would be the whole weekend because they were waiting on a part. We were on the fourth floor and had to go up and down the stairs to pack our car. I was worried about my husband’s heart because he’s not in great shape. I really felt bad for elderly people that were on higher floors. There was also a family who had a child in a wheelchair. I just feel like the elevator being broken down is unacceptable. In my opinion, they should have extra parts at the hotel for instances like this.

CLEAN! The decor was not trendy but was not worn either. Staff was courteous and professional and all seemed to take pride in their job which is very rare these days.

No hot tub. Had a small indoor pool that was nice but was looking forward to a hot tub on a cold night.

The staff made everything wonderful. Ms Tammy at the front desk. The cleaning crews were so accommodating and friendly.

This property need a lot of updates and upgrades. The picture on your website isn’t what we saw when we got there. They had broken sliding doors, broken front door latches, carpets needed changing & some furniture needed replacing.

Just got back from a few nights at the Best Western Ocean Sands, and overall, it was a nice stay. The location is definitely the highlight—right on the beach, which made it easy to go for morning walks and enjoy the ocean without dealing with crowds. The view from our room was beautiful, especially at sunrise. The room itself was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy, but it had everything we needed. The bed was decent, and there was a little kitchenette area that came in handy. Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful when we had questions. Breakfast was pretty standard—waffles, eggs, some pastries—nothing to rave about but enough to start the day. Parking was a bit tight, especially during peak times, but we always found a spot eventually. It’s not a luxury resort, but for the price and the location, it was a solid choice. I'd stay here again if I was looking for something laid-back and right by the water.

Everything at this location was very Nice. Facility was kept very clean. Towels and linens super clean and rooms ( although older) were maintained well. This location could use a facelift or at least new carpeting because the carpet stayed damp and a little “gummy” under our feet, because it is right on the beach and stays humid and wet. What this location lacks in aesthetics, it certainly makes up for in the helpfulness and kindness of the staff that work there. These people go above and beyond to help make peoples vacations a seamless and memorable experience at Myrtle Beach. The hospitality is superb. Upon entering, Tammy at the front desk greets you with a smile and makes you feel right at home. She goes above and beyond to accommodate guests. All of the ladies fixing breakfast and keeping things nice and well stocked, thank you. Miss Janie, thank you for keeping the rooms spotless.

I would replace the plastic containers that they use as breakfast plates. Guests go to the ocean for health and I overheard other people looking for paper plates as well. A Ditch the plastics for paper!

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good, and we enjoyed the Tiki bar by the pool.

Two of the front desk staff employees shouldn't be working in hospitality. They were rude to my daughter and her friend while checking in. Also, the employees did not give them their complimentary coupons for the Tiki bar, which comes with a 5 day stay. When I went back to the desk to ask the employees about them, I encountered more unprofessional behavior. Thankfully, a gentleman I spoke with the following day gave them to us with no problems.

Big, Clean, and comfortable Ocean Front Room. I liked the view from the balcony. And a very Good Free Breakfast. Staff was helpful and Polite. When driving, it is close to all the good spots in the area. It has a mini kitchen which was helpful and great since we brought some leftovers. It has internet TV too which I liked. Made us very well rested and relaxed on our stay. We enjoyed swimming in the beach.

The overflow Parking is flooded when it rains and is too far from the building. So we got wet to go to our vehicle. The Free complementary drink from the Tiki Bar did not have alcohol in it, because of some reason about license to sell. That was kind of disappointing. I also think they need an additional elevator. The elevator is almost always busy every time we use it. The pools were a bit small and there is not enough depth, but it is ok with me. A bit overpriced but I am not complaining since this is pne of the cheapest we found in the area.

I had an awesome experience at The Ocean Sands Resort hotel. When I opened the door to the room, the room smelled fresh, no moldy or old carpet smell. The room was on the ground floor. I was able to see the pool and a nice view of the beach, partially blocked by the dunes. The grounds were kept clean. I saw the pool being cleaned daily. The check-in staff was very friendly, so were the others. The best perk for me was the hot breakfast. They served a meat, eggs, biscuits, etc.

A few inconveniences, first the limited tight parking. There were only about 10 spaces right in front to the hotel. It was very tight trying to park. There was more parking across the street for free. Second, which had nothing to do with the hotel per se, the visitors above us must have brought a bowling ball. It sounded like they were rolling it across the floor all times of the night.
