Gentleman who worked in the breakfast area was so much better than the regular lady who was normally there. Supplies were out of stock when she worked and she was always on her phone rather than wiping down tables and emptying trash containers like the gentleman was constantly doing. He needs to be the regular guy and she needs to work elsewhere as she doesn’t seem to take pride in her job and had a very “sour” and unfriendly attitude as he was so pleasant and energetic and always doing something as she just stood around looking at her phone. I was there 7 nights and had breakfast every morning so saw the difference when he was covering her days off. Never once saw her clean a table or empty a trash can - he was constantly doing this!

The lady working the front desk, Stephanie, was the best. Friendly, professional, helpful, full of knowledge, a real joy to talk to. The breakfast was always hot, breakfast room always clean. The Staff that cleaned the room left the rooms looking like no one had stayed there. Clean rooms, bed made, bathroom clean, outstanding job!!!

This place had just had a major rework, everything was new and there were a few glitches. Internet Password did not work the first time I tried it, The T V cable was always going off, I had to reboot the HDMI cable box every 30 to 45 minutes. Luckly I was out doing stuff and did not have much chance to watch TV. There were other minor glitches, but again Stephanie at the front desk was very helpful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bert, at the front desk, gave us several ideas for places off the beaten tourist path to visit. They are in the middle of updating their building. Our room had been renovated. It was bright and had a window seat that you could curl up in. The bed was comfortable! The biscuits and gravy for breakfast were good.

The bathroom was dark and needed more lighting. The pillows were hard, offsetting the comfy bed. Breakfast was adequate but the plates were too small for even one waffle. However, the day they had biscuits and gravy, I enjoyed them. The only protein option was boiled eggs.

Cleanliness of entire building. Helpfulness of staff, location, communication, online checkout. Nice desk chair.

Noise travelling from hallway. Loudness of other room doors closing. No reimbursement for not getting regular breakfast that I paid for because of water leak. Noise from icemaker close to my room. Did not like taste of free coffee(major negative). Tiny pool. Noise from footsteps above me.

The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner did a good job cooling the room. The remodeled breakfast area was well done. It is close to downtown, restaurants and shopping. We have stayed here about 10 times over the last 15 years.

There were no drawers in the remodeled room so it looked untidy. It needs another mirror outside the bathroom near an outlet. The small border around the bathroom sink made it difficult to place a hair dryer and curling iron

The staff are very nice. The breakfast is good, with a variety of fresh fruits like apples, oranges, and bananas, as well as yogurt, waffles, and milk. The room is very clean, and the price is excellent. The parking area is well-lit and feels very secure, which made me feel safe even though I checked in late. I stayed there for three days and would definitely come back next time I have the chance to visit Rapid City.

As soon as you enter this Microtel Inn & Suites you are met with a bright and sunny atmosphere. The furnishings, in yellow and grey, look very pleasing. This theme is carried on throughout the hotel and rooms. We had not used the Microtel chain before but very pleased we did and will certainly book another Microtel in the future.

The location is out of the way away from the roads we arrived on Christmas Eve and left Christmas day there was no hot breakfast items just cold and the coffee was really dark and tasted burnt

The swimming area wasn't comfy and the water was super cold and very dirty we could see oils on the top of the water and dirt in the corners at the bottom for an inside pool it sure looked like it was outside

The hotel is being renovated. At the moment we were there they were busy with renovating the lobby but we didn’t bother at the 3rd floor. The whole hotel was renovated and it was looking really good, like new. The water pressure was great and the beds were aswell. Friendly staff too!

The guys that were renovating the lobby were a bit loud in the evening as they appeared to sleep in the hotel too. This is why I don’t rate it a 10. Otherwise I would.

Newer remodeled rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of choices. Bathroom was very clean and water pressure was excellent. Towels were big and soft! Definitely stay here again after they complete the remodel. Front desk area was being remodeled and entryway and checkin was on a rolling cart in the hallway.
