This was my second time to stay at Velkommen Inn. The first time was fabulous. This time not so much. The staff were not friendly. I stood at the front desk for about 15 minutes before just giving up. My sister and I came in late from our niece's graduation and noticed the smoking stand thing was melting and smoke was coming out of the top. It smelled horrible and we thought they should know. The guy was obviously on a personal call but just kept talking, I tried to say, "Excuse me", no answer. Not even a look up!! My sister said, "I guess they don't want to know the thing is on fire". So, we gave up and went upstairs.

Friendlier staff. Move the smoking area from the door where you enter the building. That was horrible.

The room was great especially given the price, the city that the hotel is located in didn’t have too too many restaurants/places to go to choose from, it’s a little over 30 minutes to get to bigger city’s. the breakfast offered was small and light, no protein options such as meat or eggs. I was able to bring two dogs for an additional $50 (one dog is $35, but if you have two it’s $50). The staff was excellent!! answered all questions and over all very nice. We were able to use the pool during our stay as well, it was nice.

Room cleaned, and the customer service was great.

The room keys had to be rekeyed everytime. We checked in the keys worked. We went to lunch and back and the keys did not work. I had the key rekeyed agained and it worked for the rest of the night. The friends key did not work and after two times getting it rekeyed decided.to not worry about the problem.

The Breakfast was a little less than I was expecting but it was clean and well stocked. The location was peaceful , quiet and clean, it is a little drive in to a big city but there is a few things to do and places to get the things you need. A good place to just get away and relax.

Customer service was excellent! The manager was very helpful and kind. He let us into breakfast at the last minute, opened the pool for us a little early, and noticed that our cards demagnetized and brought us new ones without us asking. The place was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. It was the hottest day of the year and the ac worked great. We all slept fine. Kids loved breakfast! The texas waffles were a big hit.

There were lots of crickets but I understand being in the country that couldn't be helped.

Location was perfect. Our king room was a nice size and clean. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but we had no complaints. Check in and check out easy. We would definitely stay here again if ever in Clifton, Texas again.

The only thing that could have improved was access to their pool area which had a couple of patio tables and chairs. It was beautiful weather and the view from the back of the hotel was breathtaking. There was only a small bench to sit on because the pool area was locked down and several members of our family were staying at the motel for the wedding we were attending.

Room was very comfortable and its location was perfect for our Hunting weekend !

It was a nice place. The only issue was that it was cool and comfortable in the lobby area for the first day. On Sunday, whomever was running the hotel, turned the air off and it was hot everywhere outside the room.

It was easy to get our Bicycles into the room and they provided a very nice breakfast. It was clean and friendly staff.

The automatic front door opens way too easily. We were sitting in the foyer and it kept opening and shutting without anyone exiting or entering.

The cleanliness everywhere including the pleasant smell no bad odors anywhere, western decor throughout, fitness centre open any time & the swimming pool.

Vending machines only accepted cash. Breakfast was very limited and didn't have much of a variety of things. No hot water available for hot tea or oatmeal at breakfast as well as no yogurt in the machine the entirety of our stay. Only apples available as fresh fruit.

This is a family run business and is comparable to any holiday inn express or Candlewood suites. The complimentary breakfast in the morning which includes waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, bagels, pastries was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, and we needed a few extra pillows and the staff was more than happy to accommodate. The room was very clean and quiet. if I am ever in the area again I will definitely be staying at this hotel. Only about a 30 minute drive from Waco and the small town of Clifton that it is in has some antique stores and some good restaurants. Also, the hotel is very close to a grocery store which has a variety of sandwiches, drinks and food.
