Great place to stay, they are right in the middle of renovations, which I was not told about when I made my reservation. So, that was a little inconvenient.it will be very nice when complete. Breakfast was very boring... eggs, bacon, diy waffle, some oatmeal packets. When they are finished with the renovations it will be a much better place to stay. They also put a $75 per day hold on my debit card for a total of $150 for incidentals or damage to the hotel. I was not prepared for that! That's something that no one mentioned at check in or on Booking. $150 is a lot of money to hold...

The staff were so very friendly. Any issues we had were delt with immediately. The decor is dated but beds were comfortable They still have daily room cleaning if you want it. Brandi was super helpful and very pleasant. Yolanda was very outgoing and ready to help and very friendly. Monica was an absolute excellent breakfast host. She was right on top of keeping it tidy and always a smile. DeAnthony was working alone on Christmas day. our refrigerator messed up and we told him when we came down for breakfast. he was on it and got us a replacement option before we finished breakfast. Always cheerful. Every worker we encountered from from desk to the cleaning team we're super nice This makes me want to return on my next visit to the area

the main thing is it needs updating but that's about par for many hotels in the area.

Clean and comfortable

They gave me the wrong room. I booked months in advance a room with 2 beds and they gave me a room with one bed only. They overcharged me and the staff and manager did not make it right. They told me I had 2 choices, I could get a refund and leave the hotel or I could just accept it. They have my room to someone else because I used a third party to book my room. They also told me I had to take it up with booking.com and not the hotel. They told me that they gave preference to those who book directly with the hotel. They gave me the hotel rate and not the booking.com rate I reserved months ago. They took advantage of my family and I needing the room, with no other choice, we had to stay because it was too late.

The breakfast was great.The atmosphere was good. The stay was great.I like the new rooms nice and big and up to date with the new TV 's and cozy bed a lot of extra towels in the bathroom. And the refrigerator and microwave was will nice also. Will come back for the holidays .

What I didn't like was that I looking for social hour in the Lobby.I was told that it discontinue because there some remodeling going on at the hotel maybe next time they will bring it back. I want a holiday drink.

Suites are extremely spacious. Hotel is very clean and neat. We didn't use the outdoor pool but it was a decent size and appeared clean. Breakfast was delicious although the choices were few. The parking lot is enormous and the hotel is located right off the highway with a few restaurants in the same parking lot. Lobby area is cozy and newly remodeled

Breakfast did not have enough options, it was pretty basic food, but it was very tasty. Overall, the hotel is located far away from any attractions but if you're looking to be near Texas A&M, which was the purpose of our trip, this is the place to stay

We didn't have breakfast, the room was good, we booked for 4 people a two queen bed room, you were overbooked and gave us a different room with sofa bed, without sheets and blankets, he had to ask for them.

The girl who called me to tell me about the room wanted to cancel my reservation, I would think you don't need guests because otherwise I would had offered a better room because it was your mistake.

It was perfect location, median spot for any activities that we wanted to do and close to tons of great restaurants and shopping.

It was a little dated, there were stains all down the hallway floors, however you can tell they are remodeling and updating the hotel so that was nice to see and definitely look forward to seeing the finished remodeled hotel.

This hotel was in an excellent location within walking distance of several restaurants and food eateries. The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was varied and delicious, and the staff were super friendly. We actually forgot our daughter's kindle in our room, and they called us shortly after we left to let us know. I was so surprised--and grateful! Not a given nowadays! Thanks for the awesome service and stay, Hawthorne! We'll definitely be back!

Love this place. It is our favorite in CStat. The location is so convenient and off busy weekends, it is affordable.

The free breakfast changed and is no longer well furnished. I miss the honey and good selection of fruit. The scrambled eggs were dry and too compact. Too bad.

Great location near TAMU and restaurants. Hot breakfast every morning. Very nice staff.

It will be nicer when the remodel is complete. It would be nice if they upgraded their plates from styrofoam.
