The location is great, staff is friendly, but we had minor issues during our stay. When we arrived we quickly noticed floors were not cleaned, no surfaces/ counters were not cleaned/ shower knobs/ etc. I had taken some cleaning products to clean prior to check out but all 4 of us had to do a thorough clean before we unpacked/ brought in our belongings. Through the weekend we called this office for a couple of things, trash/parking/ etc, but were never able to get through. We walked to the office and it was not busy so their phones must have been off. At check out I didn’t want to bring these things to their attention because I was worried they would hold my deposit. They refunded my deposit an hour after I left so at least there’s that. The price and space is great, but I’m not sure if I am comfortable staying again.

This is our 3rd time to stay at Tropic Island Resort, we are always pleased with the staff and the facilities. This trip we stayed as a family and took our boston terrier with us. We made it to Port Aransas a little earlier than expected and the young lady in the office was extraordinarly friendly about us checking it early. We usually stay in normal room and it always clean and comfortable. This time we stayed in the bungalow and it was so cute! Also clean and comfortable as I've come to expect from Tropic Island Resort. I always enjoy relaxing in the pool area it's also clean and a fun environment. Whenever I get the chance to vacation in Port Aransas this is where I stay, everyone is friendly and welcoming.

Booking.com has it listed as a queen bed. It's not, it's a double (standard ) The unit is cooled by a mini split in the main area and it works great, except if you close the bedroom door.

Great place, just found it and will definitely be back..enjoyed a relaxing weekend

I loved the pool/hot tub area and the shaved ice stand was excellent too. It made the whole experience worthwhile, I fully intend on recommending this place to family and friends. The room was comfortable too although it was a little on the warm side. I would stay again anyway just because of the pool, regardless of anything else.

The beds were a little hard and squeaky like they were old, my husband and I were fully expecting to wake up with a backache but strangely enough that didn't happen. The air conditioner was kinda loud, sounded like it was struggling a bit. Also we put some water and sodas in the mini fridge and it didn't get them very cool so that might have been going out too. Overall the rooms need a few updates but it didn't bother us at all, our stay was still enjoyable and the people were friendly.

We enjoyed the cleanliness and the central location. It was quiet, and the pool was nice, too. There is a golf cart rental place next door. A beach pass was included with golf cart rental.

Our bedroom tv didn't work and had to be restarted on day two. The bed was labeled a queen, but it seemed a little smaller than a queen. There was no hair dryer. Our credit card was charged an extra $50 on the day we left without an explanation.

We really liked the small home feel to it. Really comfortable. I like that you can park right next to your room. Having a living area and room separate was nice.

The restroom. Having a pedestal sink limits you to having no place to set anything. Bed was really firm and hard to get use to. But that being said we'll definitely stay here again. The pros out way the cons

Great we really enjoyed our stay everyone was super friendly and the pool was very nice small with so many people using but nice and well kept .the kitchen was great with nice appliances.also loved the kitchen sink fixture it was very nice. And the furniture in living room very nice as well.

Maybe if possible more blankets in the rooms and an AC in the other bedroom of the two bedroom units that bedroom got very warm and door had to be left open.with fan on. New shower heads might be good too the stream on shower heads was super slow. Just suggestions no worries though nice place overall

The pool was really nice and big. Very clean. The rooms had lots of space and location was perfect. I love the kitchen area, it was stocked with cooking supplies. They also had a broom in the room which was so helpful to keep the room clean.

the parking. The spots were limited, especially when you have a golf cart.

It is quiet and well kept property. Most of the guests were families with children of all ages. We also appreciated that several washcloths were put in the bathroom specifically labeled for makeup removal or stains.

According to the owner they bought the property about two years ago and are still making repairs / upgrades. The sink in our bathroom was very rough looking and needs to be replaced. The only other issue we experienced were sewer flies in the bathroom.

Everything went well from check in to check out! Front desk called us the day of check in to let us know our bungalow was ready before check in time! The pool, hot tub and snow cone stand are awesome! The grounds are nice, cleaned and well maintained! Close to everything ! The pool was hit with lawn games and bbq pits for guest! The bungalow is awesome for 2 adults and 2 kids ! The loft was in top is perfect size for kids ! Also Peyton’s golf carts made it easy and efficient to rent a golf cart and it’s on the grounds as well which is super convenient! The staff at the front desk , snow cone shop and the golf cart stand were all welcoming and helpful!
