Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, containing everything we needed. The restaurant was of decent quality with good sized meals. The shore side and pier were very nice. The reception gentleman on our arrival was very welcoming and helpful. The Boiling Pot restaurant, which is a great experience, is just across the street.

My wife was told that she had too many questions by a female receptionist (when my wife enquired about the guest laundry)and we had the impression that she wasn’t really a people person, which is a pity in such a nice hotel.

This was a great location for all. The pool was happening on one side of the building and on the other side of the building was some great fishing. In my opinion, one of the greatest places in Rockport to dine, the boiling pot, was right across the street. Plenty of nightlife bars to choose from within very close walking distance. We chose the Sugar Shack. Live music was all over though. In the morning the breakfast was great. It was real food, no powder eggs, along with a beautiful view of the ocean while enjoying the great breakfast.

We had a plumbing issue, but who knows, could have been one of my kids, in one room.

The property is perfectly situated on the bay. Get a ground level, ocean facing room so you can walk right out and catch some catfish for dinner!

Turndown service was by request, which makes it feel like you’re putting someone out for an expected travel experience. Also, wish the staff would observe the posted dining hours and not clean up 30 minutes early, sending diners away after an 8 hour drive.

Nice well-maintained large property, ample parking, clean rooms, nice pool & hot-tub area. Hot tub was heated - really nice in the 40F outside temp! Nice bar / sitting area with views over the water. Complimentary 24-hr coffee by the bar is great. Staff super nice and helpful.

Breakfast is poor, kind of cheap motel style chafing dishes and the self serve waffle maker. I would have paid to have a better breakfast.

Breakfast was ok, nothing spectacular, but adequate. I loved the view and being right on the water. It was a treat to walk out on the piers and enjoy the birds and it was close to everything. The staff were friendly and loved having coffee, tea or water available in the lobby any time of day.

The breakfast variety was limited. It would be nice to have more selections and more healthy options to choose from. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. It was a really nice dining area.

Love the location and view!! The free breakfast was a fabulous hot breakfast, not one of these continental only ones. Staff was super friendly and helpful..Love the old world charm of this hotel!

The fan motor on the ac/heat units are really loud. It was the same in our friends room. They (maintenance) said after the last hurricane, the standard room units were replaced with some kind of wall unit and we had to turn it off in order to sleep and we normally sleep with a small fan for sound. They should have kept the old style units 🤷‍♀️

I liked the bay view. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Our room was on the pool side and on the first floor. So we had the view of the patio area, which was amazing with plenty of seating and propane gas grills.

The bed was very springy and kind of uncomfortable.

Clean quiet

Very loud heating system. Sounded like an airplane .Also ask the desk clerk if I could borrow 3 wine glasses and she said No, “we’re not supposed to go behind the bar.” However she could easily access them from the outside of the bar as they we on a shelf right by the bar stool. Weird seeing as it’s all in the same building.

The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. The location was good as we were able to walk to many places. We enjoyed the happy hour but motel could have used more staff to cover the very busy evening event.

Our room was fine but I thought I had booked a room on the gulf side. I wanted to hear water not lots of noise in the pool. I tried to change but it didn't happen. The room across from us seemed to change people daily. The only negative thing was the room next door was very noisy one night and the room above us was quite loud with probably children running and jumping.

The pier is a wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The pool and hot tub are well kept and had lots of seating areas.

The tap water has an incredibly terrible odor. Highly recommend taking bottled water. Our room was on the third floor and the elevator was undergoing maintenance the morning we were checking out.
