I stayed for two nights in early August 2023. Room 701, w. king bed. The staff is great. They allowed me to checked in a little earlier, and their check out time is 12.00pm, not 11.00am as most of the hotels these days. That is a big deal for me, because I'm a night owl and hate wake up early. Also my flight to Washington DC arrived early in the morning. So kudos here! It seems that the management and the whole team did great job running this property. It is very dated and needs a renovation, but it is extremely well kept and very very clean. I would even say that the hotel has kinda nice appearance. Everything works. The bathroom has plenty of different towels. The bed is comfortable for a 6.0ft / 192lb guy. AC works well and located in proper corner - not near the bed (I often create a barricade because I hate AC blowing next to me - not in this case). They have a vending machine next to my room. An Ice maker also was there. The room has a coffee maker, a fridge and a safe - nice! Wi-Fi is free and works well. You don't need any password to connect - quick and easy. The area is close enough to the Washington DC if you have a car. The hotel is walking distance to Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Target and great Silver Diner which is open till 11pm. It is also close to beautiful and historic town of Alexandria which I recommend to visit. The neighborhood around the hotel looks safe enough. Their free parking is tight, but I was able to find a spot both nights. No problem here.

Their pool was closed for a season. Not a deal breaker, but It was very hot outside in August, so would be nice to have it as well. The breakfast is very basic. No healthy or vegan options at all. Everything contains sugar and ton of calories. So do not count on it if you are on a diet to just trying to eat healthy / vegan food. The breakfast area is very small - it was fully packed. Not easy to find a spot to seat.

This was our fourth time staying here. Beds were comfortable Room was clean Employees at the front desk were friendly and helpful There is a workout room with treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical machine, and a bench, but no weights. Good breakfast selections. We stayed 6 nights. Housekeeping people respected our desire to not have them come in to clean the room, but they let us exchange towels and empty trash.

Workout room shows free weights in photos, but there are none. There is a bench but no weights. No vent fan in bathroom. Only one chair in room. They brought one to our room from the dining area when we asked for another one. Lots things show a lot of wear and tear, but they keep it clean and service is good, so if you don't care about having weights in workout room then it's a good place to stay.

Upsides: the room was clean (and cleaned every day), the beds deliciously comfortable, queens instead of full sized, rhe pillows an assortment to match every style/taste, and the floors are laminate instead of gross carpeting. Fridge/freezer and microwave were a godsend.

The advertised pool is "permanently closed" which was devastating to my kids and annoying to me as we lugged swim stuff from across the country. Also, while I greatly appreciate the free hot breakfast, there was little change in the daily fair and it quickly got tedious. The hotel itself is old and the maintenance has been only on the important parts. So the shower curtain sagged, spraying water everywhere, the bathroom door was peeling at the botton and no bathroom fan so the room was humid for a while after each shower.

Rooms were super nice, check-in staff was great, and the breakfast was really tasty. Definite proof of clean rooms.

When we came back to the room from the hotel breakfast, the maid was cleaning the room (it was 830). We told her we still needed in there to finish and take showers. She stood at the door and stared at us. We didn't know what she wanted, so we asked if she wanted to take the bed linen that she took off the bed. She said yes, thanks! So she came in and cleaned the whole room, mopping, making the bed, dusting, and getting it ready for the next guest. I took a shower while she mopped and cleaned the room. My friend had to wait until she cleaned the bathroom to take a shower. We were so uncomfortable.

The front desk staff has improved in their customer service that makes your stay all worthwhile. I like the fact that you have such a great view of Springfield Town Center, and the convenience is definitely a plus!

Housekeeping comes much too early to clean when you haven't even checked out or left for the morning. I honestly think they should come after breakfast or at another reasonable time. In learning, I've always just put the sign on the door to not disturb, and they usually circle around to clean later. The housekeeper during the week doesn't do a better job than the housekeeper on the weekend. Overall, it's a working progress, and they strive to keep the room clean.

I have stayed here many times. This hotel is very similar to other hotels right next door that cost more -- it is peaceful, clean, beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is very good. I consider this hotel to be the best value for that area. You can pay more and get maybe a slightly better something, but to me it's not worth it when this hotel is mostly excellent. It is an approximately 10-15 min drive to Ft. Belvoir from here, and convenient to almost everything south of D.C. If driving north, I recommend leaving before about 0615, because the traffic starts to increase significantly after that time.

The only issue I have experienced is sometimes, depending on the room you are given, the heating/AC unit can be noisy and/or difficult to adjust. I recommend checking this feature first thing upon arrival and asking for different room if there is any issue with that device. Another thing to keep in mind is navigating to the hotels in this area can be a little tricky on the first attempt using Google Maps (I have not tried other mobile app maps yet). However, just be prepared to miss a turn and pull into one of the local parking lots to turn around. A little patience with finding the turn goes a long way in cost savings at a perfectly excellent hotel (as long as you get an acceptable heating/AC device in the room).

Great location. Easy access to the Blue Line (about 30 minutes into central DC). Also located across the street from the Springfield Mall. Spent our evening at the mall before heading into DC the next day. The area around the hotel felt safe and the mall was great!! Breakfast was good and above average for a similar hotel. They had eggs, bacon, and sausage in addition to waffles and a variety of other items. Great price also compared to hotels in the Tyson's Corner and Arlington area. However, you don't save much more time on the Metro at these higher priced locations. So well worth considering this hotel and area.

Breakfast was what was offered, very completed. Rooms were cleaned, comfortable, and with a good wifii. The front desk personnel were nice to us and provided a good service. The shuttle service was great, the driver was patient and provided to us a good service. The location of the hotel was great, in front of a target, next to a Marshalls.

The hotel should have their own laundry service, because you have to go to the hotel next to it, even though, they own both hotels, you have to go next to it.

The staff was great, cleaned our room each day. Breakfast was OK. They had a shuttle that took us to the Metro station and picked us up each day. It was right next to a big mall too. Pool was closed though.....bummer. should have said it on their site. Beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the room was nice. Overall, a great stay!

I didnt like how the staff was treated by a customer I myself am a hotel agent and the guy up front handled it calmy and professionally. Honestly nothing bad to say about the hotel just please treat the staff with kindness they will be just as kind back.
