Very clean. No bed bugs. Fridge in room. Plenty of ice to fill coolers for onward travel. Comfortable beds. Spacious room. Decent amenities (shower gel etc). Pretty good all round. Would use again.

I felt the reception staff were not as helpful and kind as they could have been. In UK we do not have to provide ID when we check in. Simply show our reservations. The staff were a little less than perfectly helpful at check in. 1 was doing other little insignificant jobs while 2 new people waited to be checked in, a third was being checked in by a 2nd receptionist. Had the 2nd receptionist used the other computer (which was working) to check us in, it would have gone more smoothly.

Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Walls were paper thin. I could hear every conversation from those next door. Get a room on the front side of the hotel. I was originally in the back and the traffic noise was horrendous. Staff was kind. Lots of truckers in the area. Not much in the area as far as food or amenities. Will stay nearer to Roanoke next time I’m that way and need to stay for longer than a night.

As far as the cleanliness went, both inside and outside of the hotel was kept up very well. As far as friendliness and thoroughness of service, everything was top-notch. Quality of breakfast was very good with several hot meal options as well as cold. We would not hesitate to stay at Comfort Inn at Troutville again

Room service was only offered every 3 days, but if we needed anything the front desk was more than willing to supply us additional items.

The front desk lady acknowledged me as soon as I walked in the door, although she was taking care of other customers. Breakfast was fine with many varieties. Loved the juice cartons instead of having to deal with cups while trying to take breakfast upstairs to spouse. I complained about little to no water pressure in the shower and it was fixed when we returned to the room later that evening.

The suite was nice, but it looked as if still in the process of completing it as there was a big open spot for a table, but no table was in the room which we could have used. The volume of the TVs had to be turned up to 80 to hear good if DIRECTV was used.

Clean, comfortable, good mattress and the breakfast was small but tasty. The price was attractive and a good value. Our toilet seat was loose and I knew my wife would have a fit about it. I talked to Linda at the front desk about it and she assured my she would fix it while we were out for dinner. I was skeptical she had time or the talent, but indeed it was fixed when we got back. Impressive

The location was great. Close enough to the interstate to be convenient, yet far enough away that traffic noise wasn't an issue. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. The brown bag breakfast was very much appreciated. I woke up the morning of checkout not feeling very hungry, so did not partake of the free breakfast offer. The brown bag kept me from having to buy breakfast a few hours down the road. Overall, a great stay.

I stayed here with my family when they came for my graduate hooding ceremony at Virginia Tech. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the woman who checked us in. The breakfast options were excellent. It was easily accessible to Virginia Tech for graduation.

One of the rooms had a bit of a stale odor, I can't really describe it. It wasn't terrible, but definitely noticable.

The room was spacious and clean, equipped with a decent size bar fridge, microwave oven and 2 luggage racks. It is a bonus that the wash basin is separate from the bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located close to the I-81, and although it is so close, the traffic did not bother us. Breakfast was basic, but good.

It would be a bonus if drinking water was made available at the hotel.

From checking in to checking out, the staff and facilities were more than pleasing. The breakfast each morning was excellent, the pool was fun and inviting, and the friendliness towards us and our dog was exceptional. Thank you for making our travel with 2 kids (ages 3 and 5) and a dog, rewarding and relaxing.

Our room was close to the kitchen and the noise from breakfast preparations carried through our wall. This is the only adjustment I would make on a return trip; a room further from this. Otherwise, I couldn’t rate our experience any higher.

Friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms. King bed was so nice. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. We will probably stay with them again.

Definitely needs a door between rooms in the king suite! Couldn't understand the use of space in the king suite. There is a useless section of the room that is completely unused.Even a roll away bed would have worked there. I understand it's a renovation, but space could have been better utilized. Could also use a better seating area for smokers outside. Like picnic tables.
