The breakfast was really good with lots of options. And fresh. The beds and rooms were very comfortable. The rooms were a nice size, easily work for 2 people. A nice desk and chair for working as well. The staff very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for the event I was attending. You do have to pay for parking if you drive. The garage is very secure.

They were in the middle of changing the door locks. When The manager offered an upgrade, the room lock didn't work. I still had my previous room, excellent size and comfortable for 2 people easily. The hallways were a bit confusing.

Our room (2 queens and a sofa/sitting area) was very nice with lots of space for a family of 4. Breakfast was great and parking was very easy. Our room was clean and nice. The roads in the area are very torn up nearby from construction, but we were still able to get around. The lobby of the hotel is under renovation, but the staff set up an alternate lobby on another floor and it functioned very well. The room that breakfast is served in is very nice with lots of tables and windows. Overall our stay was great

Parts of the hotel are under renovation which makes navigating the hotel a bit confusing, along with the garage being split oddly. The water for a morning shower never quite got hot, but I'm guessing that this has to do with the renovation and possibly that all the guests seemed to be on the top floor, sharing a water heater, or something. The renovation of the lobby and porte cochère meant that getting picked up and dropped off by Ubers or taxis was confusing especially with how the parking garages interact with traffic in front of the hotel. The renovation is temporary, but I might not have picked this location, if I had known about it.

Stayed here twice in two different years, love this hotel. Very close to the downtown area (the south lake union trolley goes past the hotel into the city). The view from any of the lakeview rooms are perfect - small balcony to lookout and see the seaplanes land/takeoff. You get breakfast which is pretty good. If booked in advance the prices are good. You can see the spaceneedle at night from your room (if lakeview).

Nothing! (If the prices were tiny bit cheaper maybe) but i enjoyed my stay, and the staff were lovely :)

Decent breakfast buffet, excellent staff, and very clean rooms. Room lighting is a bit odd but sufficient. The suite main room doesn't have any curtains, and our suite was right next to the loading dock, so 1 day out of 4, it was impossible to sleep in. Great shower and HVAC system comfortable and well appointed. All of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and always had a great attitude. Location is good, not exactly central but easily navigated, and none of the issues that people assume plague a bigger city like Seattle. Excellent local physical security and always felt very safe. I will stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location at South Union Lake. There is a wonderful seafood restaurant right across the street (Duke's). It's an easy 5 minute walk to the South Lake street car station, which takes you downtown Seattle. Use the TransitGo app to by an all day pass for $4.50. The gym is also very nice and I had some good workouts there. Staff is very helpful and cheery. The room was big and the bed very comfortable.

Small plastic bottles for shampoo and conditioner and small bars of soap. I prefer, if hotels use refillable bottles for this. At least they had a soap dish, which other hotels didn't. I am also not very fond of having to pay $30/day for parking.

It was such a beautiful experience, the spacious and clean room and the whole facility. We didn't use a shuttle or told no shuttle. Breakfast was amazing and delicious so many varieties and in abundance. People who served the breakfast were very patient, kind and professional.

Actually we did like everything about the hotel and grateful about everything. The only difficult thing we experienced was the access card to our room and facility didn't work for three days out of the six days we stayed. We had to come to the front desk to get it reactivated.

Great location overlooking Lake Union and close to the city center (it's worth paying an extra $20 a night for a view room); friendly and efficient front desk staff; very comfortable bed; quality Aveda toiletries; superlative breakfast compared to most hotel offerings, with a wide range of choices in a nice, light-filled lake view space, and with real plates and silverware compared to so much throwaway products most places use. Breakfast staff were very hard-working. Was convenient to have a secure parking garage, although parking costs are steep at $45/night.

The only thing that brings Silver Cloud Lake Union down from a straight 10, in my book, is that the ambience and decor are pretty dated. A bit dark and dull. Not a big deal at all considering the many other 10/10 features, and if it means that a major refresh would raise the prices a lot, then I'm okay with how it is...but it is ready for a renovation.

This hotel is in an amazing spot with a beautiful view. The breakfast alone is worth the stay. Large variety and staff are on hand keeping it clean. I constantly saw staff cleaning. There is also a parking garage which is nice. The room was very comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Suite chairs and sofas need cleaned or updated. Small tears and a slight bad odor. Febreeze or upholstery cleaner would fix.

The room was CLEAN! Staff was always present in the lobby and quick to respond (friendly too), I liked the little shop with snacks, and the later-than-standard checkout was much appreciated, especially considering the thorough job they obviously do when cleaning. Aveda products are a nice touch!

I wish there'd been filtered water available so we wouldn't have had to purchase plastic bottles. A more substantial selection of food and drinks for purchase would have been appreciated, but plenty of places to eat and drink nearby so not a big deal.
