Such a cool hotel! Great location with small town shops & late night food in walking distance. Loved the art that decorated the entire hotel & the history of the local art alongside each piece. Artsy wallpaper & chandeliers pleasing our teenage girls selfie sessions. Very nice bar, but we aren’t drinkers & cannot rate beside appearance. Great continental breakfast with donuts made locally in an actual donut shop. Didn’t have a chance to eat at the restaurant, but plan to return. Clean rooms!! Clean hotel. Accommodating & friendly staff.

The elevators creaked in a scary way. Beds could be more comfortable. Door didn’t latch well without forcing it.

Special thanks to Marcus—front of house manager. He was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Our stay was special because of his care and obvious skill in hospitality. If we ever find ourselves in need of accommodation in the area again, we will be booking with Tygart Hotel.

One of the wait staff needs to dial back their volume and frantic energy. I want to be as kind as possible about this, but found interactions at meal time to be stressful and unpleasant.

I loved that way the hotel was decorated and I appreciate the history within it. I love when hotels incorporate the art from the area or at least make it go with the history of the facility. Staff at the bar was very nice. Outdoor and lobby area was great. It is modern yet still feels like it isn't.

Every thing that I ate and drank was good except...I would never serve instant mashed potatoes (even if it is half and half) in such a nice place. I got the chops so it was served on potatoes. I didn't eat them.

Breakfast was so-so. Just like the other "continental" aka cheap breakfasts. The donuts from a local shop were great. No hot food, eggs, bacon / sausage. Fake cream for coffee :( No room with a tub. Louge needs more 2 person tables

The Bar manager or Maybe she was the Hotel manger, I arrived after long day riding without food, at 21:30. first thing I asked in the desk was about food the nice lady in the desk told me no problem there is food in the bar till 23:00. when I came to the bar after finishing my check in they told me they close the kitchen at 22:00 , the lady in the desk made a mistake but the women in the Bar refused to back her up and said no food , ugly thing

The building was gorgeously renovated and the rooms were super clean and inviting. The massive bathrooms were a huge plus and made the stay delightful and comfy!

There wasn’t much not to like! We ended up there on a Monday evening and most establishments (especially food) were closed. That was a bummer.

Location is perfect for visiting all the great places WV had to offer. We traveled to Thomas and Davis. Enhoyed music at Cannan. The hotel is in walking distance to lots of local shops and fun places. Clementines is GREAT as well as Tip Top for coffee and baked goods. If you like beer Big Timber is close to walk to!

The breakfast left something to be desired. Would be nice to have better hot food selection. We were also told they didn’t have butter for the French toast.

Our room had a cigarette smell coming from the vents in our nonsmoking room.

The hotel was amazing. We have traveled extensively, and this little hotel, in this small quaint town, was better than 95% of the hotels we have stayed at. The destination is not one we would go back to, but the hotel was fabulous!

The breakfast was very limited for those with gluten allergies. But for those, the food looked great.

Location was great with plenty of food options within walking distance. Building, grounds and the rooms were well taken care of. Loved to see an older building updated to modern decor. The restaurant and bar inside was phenomenal.

All was good from my perspective.
