Perfect location within walking distance of downtown Minocqua with places to eat and an excellent coffee-brew place next door with an awesome patio. There is a basic breakfast in the morning with breads, pastries, potatoes, sausage and eggs and juices and other eateries. Parking is abundant. There is an indoor pool with whirlpool, but our time was limited and did not get a chance to use it. While this hotel is on Hwy 51 which is a major road leading to other towns with endless truckers and cars, we had a very quiet night with comfy pillows and mattress.

Not sure if it was mentioned on the site but there is no elevator so if mobility (or you have heavy luggage) is an issue request a first floor room. We did that on arrival when we realized no elevator and were pleasantly accommodated.

Place is very nice got to the room and got to watch a mama deer and her two babies in the back lots just leisurely strolling thru!! Rooms are very clean and roomy!! Price was very reasonable for the time of yr and week to stay!! Very good continental breakfast!!! Very quiet and comfortable to stay at!!

The location was perfect for walking distance of attractions. Had a really great free breakfast. Pool and hot tub were nice.

The only things that are minor was no coffee 24 hours and no elevator

Breakfast was simple but had quite a few options available. Location is perfect and easy to enter and leave parking.

Bathroom could have been updated, no fan and toilet was wobbly. Pool area was ok, but tile issues near hot tub.

Very close to downtown within walking distance. And we didn't hear other guests slamming g doors or kids running down the hallways. Very good.

The bathroom was too small. The lighting was very dim in the evenings my husband likes alot of lights on.

There is construction going on right in front of the inn so the main driveway was blocked. We were able to use the other one, but it was a sharp turn to get in.

The ease of being able to walk to and from town.

I was disappointed we couldn't see out our window that well. I think the seal on the window in our room was broken. The window should be replaced. I didn't see any other windows with this issue.

Breakfast was OK. Eggs were good, sausage was Ok, biscuits when heated were good. The juice bar was full. The hours for breakfast were more than adequate.

Beds were acceptable, pillows were too hard and full.

The stay was very good. The desk staff was excellent and took care of all of our needs promptly. The breakfast in the lobby is very nice, good coffee! We have stayed at the American Inn many times and will continue to stay here when we are in Minocqua. We were up for the busy July 4th weekend and the staff was excellent in taking care of the many guests at the hotel. We need a first floor room and the desk was sure we got one. We needed to extend our stay and that was not a problem either.

Bathrooms are somewhat small.

I love the whirlpool inside the room its so relaxing🥰.The bed is so confortable.

I just have a suggestion that the carpet should wet vacuum because the dust is visible.
