Typical Northwoods resort, rustic, beautiful location, family owned (third generation) who work the resort and connect with their guests. one of the owners was personally manning the grill on the cookout night, chatting with guests while cooking their meat, others were on the property offering help to guests who appeared to be looking for something and then conversing with them. The resort provided the sides on an evening the restaurant was closed and to have an owner cooking was impressive. the Lodge room was large and well equipped with microwave, fridge, coffee maker as well as hot showers and the rooms were clean. There are many cabins on the property for rent as well. Great stay!

Beautiful location and how rustic it feels. It's a good price for everything that is available for activities .. The room at the lodge was a great size, comfortable bed, and I love the cable channels as well as the whirl pool. There are plenty of towels available as well.

Noisy air conditioner, it would wake us up through the night. The bathroom fan is extremely loud and noisey, and the walls are being paper thin from neighbors and a lot of pounding sounds you can hear, and it startles you at times. The mini freezer being full of ice could use a good defrost.

The location was great and the lodging was cute and comfortable. They had plenty of amenities. We had a Jacuzzi King room that was spacious and nice. The staff was excellent in making preparations with me for our anniversary trip to hike around the area. Really cool lounge.

Keep in mind this is an older family resort. Somethings are dated and some could use improvement. Namely the mattress was very springy and kept us waking each other up in the night.

Kind and welcoming staff. Delicous breakfast and food. Calm and beautiful location. Wonderful accommodations. There is even a stable down the road to feed, pet, and ride horses. Ella, Tabitha and Pete are so nice! Fun daily activities planned by resort as well! Everything was great! We booked last minute, and thankfully, one room was available. Next time, I'd like to reserve a cabin so the whole family can stay in one place. We will be back in the winter and/or next summer!

The entrance to Lodge and side entrance not handicap accessible. Need ramps or level walk entrance at least into side Lodge door. With uneven sidewalks and steps it’s difficult even to wheel and lift heavy items into building let alone a wheelchair.

This was a family gathering for Minneapolis, MN, Escanaba, MI, and Elcho, WI. We have had quite a few family events here, including three weddings, over 50 years or so. I have also recommended it to others from Minneapolis and I know some of them returned for several summer vacations. We stayed in the lodge. Rooms are just ok, but the restaurant and bar is outstanding. We had a party of 10 for dinner one night and both service and food was excellent.

While the lodge rooms were clean, they are very dated. Bed linens and towels were just fine. I noticed that they also removed carpeting and put vinyl flooring in the rooms with a rug by the door. MUCH better than carpeting in this pandemic-laden era. I also thought it might not be asking too much to have decent coffee available in lobby in the morning. We had to drive 6-7 miles into a KwikTrip for it.

Beautiful and quiet location in the woods, good size room with air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, kayak/canoe rental, well kept grounds, very good restaurant on site 5-8p, coffee shop with good coffee and some breakfast options, friendly staff, free airport shuttle.

No food on site between 11 am and 5 pm. The coffee shop is quite bleak and lacks fresh air. (The outdoor sitting area is small and has no shade.)

Great setting, very warm staff, equipment rental, indoor pool, quiet, peaceful, close to attractions

Beds could be improved, restaurant and coffee shop were closed the entire time of our stay (Sun-Tues Labor Day weekend) so no food or drink on site

Beautiful resort along a lake. We sat on the boat dock at night and watched the northern lights; once in a lifetime memory. Some staff were there and helped us to learn a little more about the natural phenomena. Just lovely!

Absolutely everything! A beautiful setting by the lake. I loved it here. I will strongly recommend it to everyone. Great place for kids. Lots to offer. I will be back to stay longer. Great coffee too!
