The staff was excellent! I was able to give wet towels to a cleaning person who immediately gave me sets of dry towels. The main desk person (Peggy) went out of her way to get me a spoon so that I could mix hot cocoa in my room. This visit was very quiet. Last time a kids’ hocky team was staying there and woke us up at 11:30 at night! This time I requested a room as far away from the pool as possible, and no youth sport teams were staying here.

The grout between the tiles in the bathroom kept breaking off and sticking to my bare feet! I knew this was going to be remedied because a new owner was planning a remodel of the entire facility. The room was fairly humid despite use of the A/C. And (this is NOT unique to this hotel), it’s great to have a microwave with tea bags available, but WHY are there only plastic or styrofoam cups that ARE NOT useable in a MICROWAVE??!! I have started to bring my own pottery mug when I travel.

Pros: - great location; not busy & in the heart of Rhinelander. close to Dunkin, Starbucks, Culver’s, the Hodag store, Walmart etc. - workers were nice & helpful - beds were comfy - air worked amazingly (the best part of staying at a hotel!!) - pool area was great! warmed pool was a great size, along with a huge hot tub “spa”. bathrooms, shower + towels in the pool room. - free hot breakfast from 6-10am (eggs + sausage), cereal, bagels, muffins, bread, waffles, coffee, fruit, yogurt, milk, juices

Cons: - the bathrooms (toilet/tub/shower specifically) looked outdated & not as clean as I expected - no late checkouts - our room door was particularly hard to open & close

The breakfast was good, something a little different everyday. The dining area was nice and very clean. The staff were all so very friendly and helpful even though they had to work through the holidays. I loved how festive the lobby and dining area were decorated. The lemon water was awesome and great that it was available all day/night long as well as the coffee(which this exhausted grandma needed badly).

I truly can not think of anything that I did not like. I asked for a 1st floor room as walking can be difficult for me and I was given a room with easy access to and from the backdoor with a perfect parking spot.

The location was great and the building was in great shape. The beds are incredible!! Love love the beds..

Did not have enough key cards to hand out to guests that were checking in. We were told the manager was on the way in 45 min to supply more but as of the next morning there still was not any. Eventually the extra key cards arrived later that day

Breakfast was very good, offering waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, muffins, yogurt, etc.

Room was very clean and the bed was firm. We had plenty of towels for our 2 day stay. There was a smoking odor in the room. I sprayed with fabreze to try a get rid of it. Maybe the filter on the air conditioner should be checked.

We have stayed here before and liked it so we returned. It was a great location. The bed was comfortable and a great staff greeted us. The breakfast was adequate, but the eggs had cheese, which I like, but my wife can't have it. She did enjoy the fruit and blueberry muffins though.

shower - who takes a bath nowadays except for parents with little kids? For me, it is extremely difficult to lift my legs over the tub. breakfast - I like my juice in the morning. The Cranberry and Orange juice were terrible. A large percentage of the yogurts were "lite".

The room was slightly stuffy with a cleaning odor so we opened a window. I appreciated being able to have a window to open as I like the fresh air.

Very clean! We witnessed how the staff strives to keep everything clean at all times. Breakfast was good too and had a nice variety of foods.

After the last place I stayed it was nice to be billed what you paid for. The breakfast was decent, and the room was nice. I always enjoy my stay in Rhinelander when I can find a room.
