Greatest breakfast among several hotels I stayed in Tashkent. Helpful and polite staff. Good location. I extended my stay twice up to several weeks eventually and never moved from this hotel. Will likely come back when I'm back to Tashkent.

Sauna was an extra paid service, that was slightly disappointing. Room rate was in USD and I had a USD bank card. However the hotel did not have USD terminal. So they charged in UZS which was then converted back to USD by my bank. So this lead to double conversion and extra expense.

Nice clean and modern hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. The room was big, and robes were provided. The pool was beautiful, and I thought it was great that guests could make use of the spa!

It wasn't clear until I checked in that the spa had to be rented for a separate fee. This wouldn't be a problem, except I didn't notice clear information about this on the Booking.com website. The fact that the spa had to be rented out meant that it was booked when I went down to use it (was really looking forward to it after my long international flight). The mattress on the bed was a tad hard: felt like it was missing box springs.

We arrived at 11 am from the airport and though the check in is at 2pm, we were given our room in 20 minutes! There was some issue with the room we booked, so we were given the upgraded luxe room! Room was clean, everything yiu need is there. We didn't have a chance to go to the outside pool but it looked nice. The guys in the reception were super friendly, very polite, and advised us to visit the Magic City at night with we did. Adorable! They packed our breakfast in the lunch boxes at 6am so we could take it to the airport with us. Thank you for the stay! We enjoyed it!

The night shift manager has been helpful and polite and solved issues immediately and with a smile. Great breakfast! Spotless clean. Good size rooms.

We arrived after midnight. Despite messaging the hotel well in advance, there was no room available for us, it was fully occupied and we were asked to sleep at another hotel 10min away. It was strange, but resolved in a professional way and they paid for the taxi. The next day, we came back at 8am and there was a room available for us. We chose this hotel for the swimming pool, but it was just too crowded and noisy for us. Any time a day. In the end we went back to the other hotel, newer and more quiet with a great breakfast. The other hotel name is Silk Road Hotel. Great staff, brand new.

I know I picked this hotel myself but boy am I happy I have picked it. Literally everything here is good. It is well-located in a quiet yet central district. It is exceptionally clean and spacious, with wonderful but very tastefully done Uzbek decor and interiors. It looks and feels freshly built or renovated; bathrooms in particular are spacious, all fixtures working flawlessly. It has a very cosy pool with a beautiful dastarkhan (special type of seating where you sit as if on a ground but on a dais round a table) next to it where you can order drinks and food by the poolside. The breakfasts are abundant and done in local style, yet a regular European selection is also possible; and during after hours, the same floor functions as a restaurant where you can taste all sorts of local cuisine. Finally, the staff are very, and I would like to stress that, VERY helpful, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile. I wish I could keep this hotel to myself, frankly, and not tell anyone else about it, but okay, here you go; have a nice stay!

Nothing, everything was good with this hotel

Nice price to quality ratio really. Clean rooms, friendly stuff, nice wifi. Their relaxing zones on the roof, at the pool and in restaurant are quite nice. Nearby facilities. Korzinka shop in 2 minutes walk. There is also a nice Uzber cafeteria. I'll not do an advertisement, but you'll see the big red sign, visit it. It's cheap and tasty.

First 2 days of our stay the pool was dirty. But after we asked about it they cleaned it the very next day. This was the only downside during our stay.

Breakfast was good.

I could not tell if anyone from your staff was in the breakfast room. Later at the front desk they told me someone was there, but no one greeted the guests when they walked in.

We only stayed one night but the staff were absolutely wonderful - so friendly and helpful. As soon as we arrived in our taxi, someone met us at the car to take our bags. I was near the end of my US Dollars, but they were more than happy to take payment in a combination of USD and Som. We had to be at the airport at 11:00pm and, even though we’d checked out in the morning they were happy to keep our bags all day and evening, so we could pick them up on our way back to the airport. We were upgraded to a suite, which was fabulous and so comfortable. For most of our trip around Uzbekistan, we stayed in small traditional guest houses, so this was the only modern hotel we stayed at, but I’d definitely recommend Old Tashkent Hotel. Breakfast had the largest variety of choice than anywhere else we’d stayed and, if you’re there at the right time of year, you can have breakfast on the outdoor terrace, looking over the city. A wonderful stay with such lovely staff.

Some Russian people were playing extremely loud music at the swimming pool until after midnight. I think the hotel should not allow this. Also in the morning empty bottles of liquor were left standing on the tables until 4 in the afternoon, while kids were playing at the pool.
