We usually stay at resorts with all-inclusive packages, but this time we wanted a more authentic experience—and Vernalhome Boutique did not disappoint! We booked three rooms: two spacious family rooms overlooking the pool and one with a view of the koi pond. All were clean, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The staff were lovely and helpful, and breakfast was great—not a huge buffet, but plenty of options to start the day. The pool was a refreshing bonus after hot days out exploring. Each room had a balcony, good air con, and strong Wi-Fi. The hotel is a bit further from the main tourist areas and the beach than we expected, but Grab rides were super easy and cost only around $1.50 NZD including tips, so it wasn’t an issue at all. There’s an authentic pho place next door that also does super cheap laundry (they don’t speak English, but it was no problem). On the other side is a cute and cheap outdoor coffee spot, and across the road is a spa and nail salon. Banh mi just around the corner too! The area was quieter than central Da Nang or the beach zone, which we actually preferred. There’s also a lovely rooftop with views over the city, and the whole place is filled with plants—it felt like we were in a little jungle retreat. We genuinely loved our stay and would absolutely return!!

The power did cut out a couple of times during our stay, but only for a minute or two each time—it didn’t really bother us. Could’ve been due to the extreme heat, but we’re not sure.

We chose this hotel based on the reviews we had read and we were not disappointed! It's a beautiful, small boutique-style hotel within walking distance to a fantastic beach and plenty of places to eat. As soon as you step foot in the hotel, you are greeted by a calm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our penthouse suite was amazing. Our three teenagers also loved it, which is always a good sign, and it provided us with so much space and tranquillity. The pool is small, but lovely for a cool dip - it isn't heated, but we were ok with this as we needed to be cooled down! Breakfast was simple, but perfectly ok. This is a great value hotel that provided a nice alternative to the large-scale hotels. The penthouse is one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in (and we have travelled with our family all over the world) and we would come back if we ever get to visit DaNang again.

My only slight complaint is about the poor coffee with breakfast. The machine doesn't work properly, and it didn't taste great, but this is a very minor point, and I could have easily grabbed coffee from a local place if I needed it! The patio furniture in our room was also all broken, but I think maybe the staff just hadn't been told about this. It didn't impact our stay, and from what we could see on the balconies of other rooms, all the furniture looked beautiful and in great condition.

This place is an absolute gem! If possible, get the koi and pond view room. One side of the room allows you to walk straight into the pool and the other side looks over the koi pond. We were stuck in the hotel for two afternoons because of the rain, but we thoroughly enjoyed reading by the pool, swimming in the drizzle and appreciating the beautiful gardening work of the building, and sitting on the balcony over the koi pond enjoying the sound of the rain. The downside of this room is that it doesn’t have much natural bright light coming in, since it is on the 1st floor, and that you might need to have the curtains drawn for privacy when there are people using the pool, hanging on the balcony upstairs across, or feeding koi fishes from the other side of the pond. We found it manageable as during our stay the facilities are generally quiet. And it’s all worth it when you can make the most of the pool or just enjoy the dancing reflections of the pond on your ceiling. In other aspects, the hotel staff are always helpful and pleasant, within walking distance you can reach the beach, minimarts, good local eats and cafes, and bike rental shops. Breakfast was decent enough for a small kitchen. Would stay here again if we’re back. Might come back just to stay here again.

The door to the pool and to the balcony was a bit jammy and can use some tightening. Soundproofing is not great when there’s a lot of people moving around in the building.

Location - ok if you are catching taxis/grab, but nothing much around except local shops. Tv - couldn’t get it to work, despite asking for new batteries, but we didn’t ask staff for further help as we didn’t need it. Difficult to get swimwear dry.

My wife and I stayed in the penthouse for two nights. We booked a last-minute deal, and it was a fantastic experience. It was way more space than we needed but well worth it. The highlight was the sauna in the bathroom. The staff are really friendly, the breakfast is great and there are a few convenience stores and coffee shops close by. We both booked for a 1-hour Swedish massage using the hotel spa service. We have been in Asia for 2 months (Thailand and Vietnam) and we both agreed that this was best massage we have had so far.

There was a house next door that was playing bird noises from a speaker on the roof. It goes from 6:30am to 7pm at night. I asked the manager why it was being played but he did not know why. You get used to the noise, but I would have loved to know why it was being played all day.

The staff were pleasant and welcoming, providing us with drinks and snacks in the room upon arrival. The hotel offers different facilities, including recreational items for the swimming pool and a sauna, which were highly appreciated. Additionally, the opportunity to feed the fish added a unique touch to our stay. The breakfast provided was also quite nice offering a few options. Lastly, the television with youtube function and the small kitchen area in the room are adorable.

The street outside the hotel is super narrow, with heavy traffic making it very difficult to walk to the main road. Additionally, the family room was smaller than expected. It would be beneficial to have more power sockets near each bedside. There were also a few small stains on the bedsheet. Adding a gym room would further enhance the overall experience. It takes some time to walk to the beach, so it might be more efficient to take a Grab. Furthermore, there is a lack of restaurant and supermarket choices nearby, which can be inconvenient for guests.

Super quiet boutique hotel, tucked far enough from Da Nang’s hustle and bustle that you can hear yourself think… or the koi carp casually judging your life choices from their pond (yep, I had a pond view and a pool view—fancy, right?). The room was huge, complete with my own kitchen, which I proudly ignored thanks to a killer little Pho restaurant the staff recommended nearby. The staff were brilliant—gave me all the inside tips—and breakfast was solid with more than enough to fuel my adventures. If you want peace, good food, and koi companionship, this is your spot!

The pool was out of action and getting drained when I arrived, which was a bit of a bummer. Maybe a heads-up or a small discount would’ve been nice. Funny how hotels in Vietnam are lightning-fast at selling you tours and excursions, but not so speedy when it comes to telling you there’ll be no poolside lounging! Also, I spent a day hiding in my room after 5 weeks on the road, and room service didn’t show up to make the bed or swap out the towels. Maybe they figured I was in full hibernation mode and didn’t want to disturb my cocoon of exhaustion. All in all, some communication tweaks would’ve gone a long way!

We stayed in the room facing the koi pond. When we first arrived we were greeted kindly and were served a nice glass of watermelon juice. The check in service was excellent and easy, we are brought to our room immediately. The koi pond is beautiful and the fish were practically huge we were intrigued by it every time we passed by it. Location wise is the best meet up/ pick up point to head to anywhere. It is very accessible to any food stalls, mini marts, and etc. Our room is clean, has balcony, even includes kitchen appliances if you want to heat up/ cook some food. Bath room is big too.

I’m so happy that I stayed two nights here while I was in Da Nang. The hotel is new (4 years old), spacious (you get the room size as shown in pictures, with cooking facilities, a big fridge and separated bathroom and toilet!), and close to the beach (10 min walk, 20 min if you go to the other end to play parasailing). It has very helpful staff, especially the girl who helped us so much with communicating with the local driver, an interesting fish pool, and impeccable cleanliness, especially the bedding. The staff were very polite, reasonable and attentive, and they didn’t ask for a five star rating. I would like to add one point for this. We are asked for good ratings by the hotel (Daisy) we stayed on the previous night and many local drivers, which was annoying. Here staff help you sincerely, not for good comments.

If pillows with different heights can be provided it will be perfect! They are too high for my neck. Guests opposite the street who stay at Amy’s House sing horrible Karaoke, but it’s not Vernal’s fault and they stop before 10 pm.

We really enjoyed our stay at VernalHome! All the staff were super friendly and helpful. You could book a scooter directly from the hotel, or even book transport to the main tourist areas such as Ba Na hills or to the airport. Breakfast exceeded our expectations - there was a decent spread of food and even a live egg section and noodles section serving Pho or other Vietnamese noodles depending on the day. The hotel and room itself was beautiful and clean, looking exactly like that from the photos. It had everything that we needed for our stay! We like that the location is in a peaceful quiet area, away from the bustling of the crowd, but still accessible to the beaches (about 15-mins walk or a 3-5mins cab ride).

The stay was great! If I had to nitpick, the water pressure of the shower could be a little stronger.
