Beautiful cosy beds + storage units in both the dorms / the huge single rooms. Stayed here for almost a month between both options. Cosy, quiet and homely. Beautiful decor at the reception/ sitting area. The lady in the Viet hat outside the lane makes great coffee and serves chilled coconuts (to drink and eat). Staff are young college-going kids who deserve bigger chances in life. Good luck Quinn, Hui, Hai and Thu! Thanks for the tea. And a good flow of international tourists who make for great conversations!

What i didn't like were quickly addressed by the staff, but i should list them because it shows how responsive they were: 1) they changed the cleaning times of the bathrooms from morning to after 11am so the sleeping guests are not disturbed till their check out times. 2) when people walk the dorm staircase, they should tread lightly and not stomp. Request was relayed :-)

I loved the layout of the dorm beds - it's like having your own little cabin, lots of storage space and a small locker plus a large locker in the room for luggage. Convenient location 10 mins walk to train station.

Not very clean - on my 3rd night I asked staff at reception if they could clean the bathroom. He said that they clean it every morning but they obviously hadn't as the floors were covered in hair since I checked in....he went and spoke to a woman then apologised to me and said they would clean right away which they did - so not really sure how often they clean which is a bit gross for a shared space. The dorm floor was covered in hair and bits of dirt/crumbs and wasn't cleaned the 4 nights I was there. Only one bathroom for the whole dorm The a/c in the female dorm was barely working so it was a bit warm

Probably one of the best and convenient bed/storage solutions I’ve seen. There’s a cupboard with lots of shelves and a lockable section built in at the foot of the bed, plus two type lights (overhead and cupboard light), and 2 sockets. Location is 10 steps away from the street, providing some protection from the noise. Aircon was always on, keeping it nice and cool. Staff were nice and friendly. Nice shampoo/gel/conditioner. Little cute balconies where one can hang washing or have a phone call.

Because the hostel is so very thoughtfully designed and built, the lack of cleaning/messiness of the 3-rd floor bathrooms and the kitchen downstairs was surprising. It felt like “mom is away and the children are in their own”. During my 3 nights there was no cleaning in said facilities. Or maybe the management has changed? I just really hope they improve cleanliness and tidiness, because apart from that, it’s easily in top-3 most comfortable hostels I’ve experienced. Still giving it a high rating, because I still think it was great value.

Comfy stay and friendly staff, good wifi

Bed bugs in the first few bunks I tried and amenities weren't replenished

+ Close to local cafes, restaurants and attractions + Air-conditioned with comfortable (hard) bed + Private terrace to enjoy the fresh air + Simple amenities that suit a couple or single looking to relax after a long day of exploring the city

- Common area downstairs not well-kept or comfortable to relax in as it is appears to be used as a storage area (not like the space depicted in photos), but not a deal breaker as we mainly stayed here just to sleep after a long day of exploring the city

Absolutely loved my stay at The Lovenote Home. The hostel is located about a 10-15 minute drive away from the centre and it will cost between 60-80p on a Grab bike each way. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and very helpful, if I was stuck with anything they would be more than happy to help! The beds in the dorms were private and spacious, you have a designated big locker for your backpack/luggage and also another locker inside your bed for other things. If you’re staying in a dorm room there is a bathroom in your dorm and there are also 2 spare bathrooms on the top level incase the bathroom in your dorm is occupied. Bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot! I’ll definitely book again when I return to Ho Chi Minh!

I stayed almost 10 days there. The location is nice, quite, local, there is a gym next to the hostel, only USD1 a day, there is a supermarket very close, and some cafes. The staff was very helpful and kind. I like the rooms, they are big, they have natural light, and privacy, because of the position of beds, the bathroom is big, clean, they provide shampoo, conditioner, gel shower. You can use the kitchen, so it is cheap to cook . I loved the hostel, it feels like home :)

Maybe there must provide water

I want to review the homestay here, so I booked a bed for 2 nights in a dormitory room and ended up being upgraded for a private room at no extra charge! Upon arrival they served me a cold and refreshing tea and told me that they had dormitory rooms being renovated. However, they didn't cancel my booking nor told me to go someplace else, instead they just gave me a waaay better option for no additional cost. The room was great, had everything I needed. Everything was clean and new. Really quite surprised by their hospitality and I am thankful for that. Love you guys! <3

The location was okay, close enough to walk into the main area of Ho Chi MInh. It was easy enough to order a Grab ride if needed. The tea room had a lovely selection of hot and cold teas - highly recommend trying the Vietnam red tea!!

Room was right next to the tea room on the ground floor. I arrived a little jet lagged and couldn't sleep with the music. Perhaps the rooms above the cafe are more quite (the cafe does close at 9:00pm - which isn't too late if your'e not in need of an early sleep.) The bathroom was not very clean and the room itself had dust on the floors and shelfs.. Take mosquito spray!!

The location was a bit far. I didn't mind because you can just book a grab to anywhere. I loved the female dorm. It's was so quiet and peaceful, Pretty and well maintained. Clean washroom. Slippers and basic amenities were available. The mattress could have been better though. Overall I liked it.
