Booked this accomodation last minute and the staff were very accomodating. Check in was easy and my room was amazing. Beautiful view of the pool and ocean. Very exotic and relaxing. Facilities were great, had a foot massage that was amazing and also the food was delicious. 10/10 recommend.

The roof was a little bit leaky from the rain but nothing a towel on the ground didn’t fix. The rooms were still amazing.

Our family had a wonderful holiday at Mai Phuong Resort in Phu Quoc. We particularly loved the setting, pool and beach and the lovely staff who operated like a family and were always helpful and kind to our kids. The buffet breakfast and restaurant at the resort were great too.

The location is a little bit remote, which was lovely but harder to reach other destinations on the island. The resort operates a free tuktuk into the closest centre where there was also a free bus service around the island. The Mai Phunog staff were very accommodating, dropping us off and picking us up in the tuk tuk whenever we needed, so it wasn't a big problem at all.

Rooms were spacious and clean, cleaned every day. Breakfast was lovely served until 9:30 but get there earlier as the refill wasn't always done. Free shuttle to get to GrandWorld pretty much any time. The massage was free as we stayed more than 3 days which was nice. Option to play table tennis and billiards. The pool was great.

The game's room - table tennis and pool need some maintenance, clear out and air conditioning. The gym wasn't really usable as it's in the game's room and it's literally 2 machines. You have to pay for the paddle board which we weren't told so we went on it twice and had to pay 600k. Also they keep this one poor big fish in a small aquarium - no need, that fish is miserable there and you can see that guests were feeling sorry for it. As a vegetarian I struggled with the limited variation of foods we could order but that was very common for Vietnam in general.

After traveling around Vietnam for a couple of weeks, we were happy to relax! The hotel is in a very calm area and not close to any facilities, which was what we were looking for. There is however a free shuttle service to Grand World (a complex of restaurants, bars, shops designed for tourists). The staff is great (with the little English they speak), room was big and sea front, the pool is big and clean, breakfast is ok, food in general very good!

The beds are on the hard side and the final account did not match our expectations. We stayed 4 days and it was hard to remember how many beers we had, but surely we were overcharged (we believe it was simply lack of organization). Wifi not always available (depends on rooms).

I like to thank everyone at the resort for making our stay absolutely beautiful! Mary the receptionist, the gentleman ( who helped us on arrival with Mary to sort the room out which I, unforgivable, didn’t catch his name)the young lady at the bar ( making my delicious mango smoothies), the two young waiters always smiling and all of the extremely efficient staff, the friendly and helpful “ Tuk tuk”/ car driver, the two always smiling cleaning ladies 😁, thank you, to you all. The Masseuse who gave me an impeccable foot massage ( I has swollen feet and within a hour of the massage they were back to normal!!) Thank you. And then…the scenery!! Opening our bungalow door and having the calm sea 3 metres always from it!! IHaving our first morning coffee with that view!! We were there 8 nights and it wasn’t enough. The food which we constantly enjoyed there was delicious! The fried fish was out of this world! I would recommend guests to experiment with the menu and try as many dishes as you can! For an elderly couple like us, having everything close by ( not like some horrendous mega resorts where tasteless display of extravagant riches and, needing a tuk tuk to get to their reception, restaurant, beach seems to be the inexplicable norm) was indeed, the perfect setting. If you want to go to Grand World, they take you, free of charge there (/it’s about 3 minutes by tuk tuk); and from there, there is a bus ( number 17 and number 19) that is also free and goes all the way south ( and viceversa) right down to Duong Dong night market, and even airport if you so desired. In short, you are in a secluded paradise, with all the comforts at your disposal and being able to enjoyed the island wth available transport and very little effort on your part. All this, and very affordable as it’s incredible value for money! Even though we still have places in Vietnam to explore, We will definitely be back at Mai Phuong. You are a credit to your beautiful country. Thank you.

Nothing. Everything was perfect , right down to the beach that, even though wasn’t crystal clear water ( like Phi Phi island) I could still see my toes with water up to my waist deep.

We stayed in a pool/sea view bungalow which was modern and spacious,  especially the bathroom; the room had a terrace overlooking the pool and sea. The resort is in its own small private bay with beach; the bay is cordoned off to reduce floating plastics flowing in. Beautiful gardens; flowers and fruit trees in the grounds which are attended to daily. Extremely pleasant and friendly staff, especially Tomy who went beyond expected to help us out on one occasion. Good breakfast-  eggs and pho available to order also. Note everything is cooked in Coconut oil. Menu for lunch dinner -  good, varied. Mainly local; some 'western' options if fancy a change. The resort is in a quiet area, however there's a free buggy up to Grand World a number of times per day - here will find a number of 'supermarkets', or if you turn left around the main road there are more NB Buggy drops at the bus terminal in GW  from there could catch bus into centre. Or can hire motor cycles from Reception. Would we stay again - Yes

Nothing. We knew would be slightly remote before we arrived; however wasn't far to get to shops etc if required.

Location was great if you want to get away and be by yourself and find calm relaxing days. We were here for 8 days and did not leave the property at all. Food selection in the restaurant I good and the staff is nice and helpful although not perhaps that professional. More like a family. Very beautiful place. We took a snorkeling/fishing tour to turtle island. Ok snorkeling but sad with all the trash in the environment surrounding the property.

Rock hard beds. Actually hard to get some sleep in them. Had to smuggle in the sunbed madrass at night in order to sleep. The really need new beds 😀

An exceptional place. There is nothing there that you won't like. The food is the best I have had in Vietnam. The people are so warm and friendly and go out of their way to cater to your every need. The pool area overlooks the ocean!! The view is breathtaking. The bungalow was really spacious and everything worked really well. Grand world is 5 mins away. The resort arranges a free buggy ride at anytime you want two ways. The ride itself is good fun. You can also book your trips around the island at reasonable rates at the front desk. It's a great place for a serene holiday with your families. I strongly recommend it.

Pros: • Lovely quiet location by the beach, perfect for a relaxing getaway. • We stayed in a room with sea view, and the view was wonderful. • Very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome and offered great tips for exploring the area. • Free pick-up and drop-off to Grand World was super convenient. • The 30-minute massage included in our booking was a fantastic surprise and very well done. • Direct access to the beach made our stay even more enjoyable.

Cons: • The room felt a bit worn out and could use some upgrades. • We had issues with the key card not working a few times. • Water tap was wobbly and not enough electrical outlets in the room. • The restaurant forgot one of our orders, and breakfast options were just okay.

A lovely isolated little group of bungalows on the beach which is perfect for those not wanting the big, high rise, impersonal hotels, They have a lovely clean pool, free shuttle to nearby restaurants at the Wonderful World complex and free massages each if you stay more than 3 days. Breakfast covered everything you could need. I requested a bungalow right on the beach and it was incredible! There is a very long stretch of sensational, empty beach just a short walk away- just don’t be scared to nip through the hole in the fence and the end of the path as you will be greatly rewarded!
