Great location as restaurants, laundry, money exchange, scenic views and main attraction points are all accessible on walking distances. They provide free transportation from Vinholidays to anywhere around Phu Quoc too!! Great world is pollution free and extremely clean! Felt extremely safe and people there don’t force you to buy their stuffs which could come off as uncomfortable.

New, clean, nice breakfast and centrally located in Grand World.

Difficult to enjoy the pool due to few sunbeds that were occupied most of the time. We stayed three in one room and we had to pay for one extra bed that we did not get. Difficult to communicate with the staff in the reception.

Staff was very accommodating and arranged tickets for vinwonders. Staff at the entry door also helped using the Xanh app and apply a promo code. The connecting rooms were very clean.

Another set of pillows would have been nice. I echo other reviews complaining about the lack of rack to hand clothes. The breakfast buffet was only very basic. I was surprised by the lack of choice. Finally, the location is poor. We booked only two nights to stay close to Grand world and vin wonders. We're glad we did not stay longer. There is a shuttle bus to the beach but it closes at 5PM. Even the swimming pool at the hotel closes at 7PM.

The transportation was efficient.

A bit remote from all the action. The buffet is so crowded that it is hard to get food from 8-9 AM.

The hotel is in a great location and literally a 5-10 minute walk to Grand World, the hotel feels luxurious and has the all the required facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful, my room was lovely and on my check-in date I realised once I got to the hotel my jewellery was stolen by security in Ho Chi Minh City Airport and they tried helping me to report the incident but we were going in around in circles (ultimately the staff were amazing).

Hotel was beautiful with nice gardens and pool. Rooms were clean and service was good. Breakfast was fine (a bit chaotic) but fine. Rooms were bright and big and beds were comfortable enough. Didn't notice too much noise around even though it was quite full. Close to the beach and a lot of restaurants, most open quite late though.

As mentioned breakfast was quite a bit chaotic, almost like they are surprised everyday by the number of people who were there. Our room was also two single kings pushed together instead of one large bed. Many of the staff didn't speak English (not necessarily essential as I understand I am in a different country, but I was surprised given the touristy-ness of the area.)

The breakfast is perfect. There are so some kind of food to choose, you will hate yourself why the stomach is so small and can not try everything. I love the room as well, there are tubs and relax my exhausted body after a whole crazy day in Vinwonder. The lobby is large and cozy, air condition is powerful. The outdoor swimming is elegant and carefully designed because you won't have strong sunshine before 10am. The surrounding building block it perfectly.

There are some karaoke nearby the hotel after 10pm and a little bit lousy , especially the singer sound is terrible.

Our 3 nights at Poplar Resort is superb. The rooms incl free toiletries, towels, water bottles, hair dryer, kettle. The location is right in front the beach. You will enjoy the sunset. A mini market, cafe is just a walking distance away. You can also utilise the kitchen if you want to cook your own meal. The owner is super helpful & help us with all the booking (at discounted price). He gave us many advice and good spots to visit. Every morning he will recommend a place for good local breakfast...a short walk fr the resort. He can also help to order, if you prefer to eat in the resort. If I ever go back to Phu Quoc, I will definitely stay at Poplar Resort again

The location of this hotel is perfect, its walkable to grandworld and the watertaxi. The hotel is really beautiful and well maintained! The staff were also very accomodating, we were trying to ask for iron, bit of language barrier but they get it right in the end. We also asked for a bowl for our room, the staff even brought us all da way to the kitchen so we can choose which bowl we want. Connecting room were comfortable, the airconditioning was cooling and they even have fan and fridge! The wifi really fast. Lift bit slow but bearable as they only have 8 levels. Breakfast spread was good too. Lots of seating so less waiting time. Free shuttle bus stop right in front of main door tho they have limited timing. Can even see nice fireworks on weekend from the balcony! Overall such good value for money! Highly recommended!

Our room was bit far from the lift, quiet the walk. The breakfast spread didnt have halal option, would love it if they add that alternative. I wish ive asked for the central room facing pool.

- The room we booked was massive, spacious and very clean - If you are looking to visit Vinpearl Safari, Vinwonder amusement Park and Grand World etc. on the North side of the island, this hotel makes for the perfect spot, excellent location - The hotel is beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful despite the language barrier - The hotel provides vouchers that can be used inside Grand World

- Although the rooms were big, having a side table and plug points on just one side of the room is very inconvenient, there is no separate plug point to even plug in the electric kettle comfortably! - The room could have been cleaned better, e.g., while the towels were replaced, the used cups were not, and the little tea spilled on the table was not cleaned either.
