The hotel is in a very central location. Its walking distance to the main streets for shopping for restaurants, bars etc. And also right across the Santa monica beach and pier. Our room was nice, clean, comfortable with enough space. We did not have the chance to spend time but the pool area is really nice, espeially at night time while there is fire it can be really nice to have drinks there.

Just two things breakfast and parking. The valet parking is 60 usd per night and it is the only option otherwise you should fine yourself a spot in the street or find a private parking space. And in general in most of the hotels breakfast is not included and it was nice but really expensive in the below cafe.

Location is great, breakfast is so delicious, bedding feels so comfortable, the size of the bathroom with a vanity desk is a good addition for my taste and use 🙂

One day the housekeeper didn’t clean the room, even though the DND was removed around 10 am. I had to make 2 phone calls at guest service and I was told that it was too late (around 4pm) to send somebody to clean the room unless I want fresh towels which they can provide. After I express my disappointments, the housekeeper came and cleaned the entire room. For a good quality hotel like Viceroy, this experience was unusual.

We love this hotel! Stayed here at the start and end of our 2 week trip and it was like coming home! The location is perfect for being in Santa Monica. Close to the beach, shopping, good restaurants as well as things like the pier. The rooms are very big and the bathrooms are great too with a dressing table. The staff are so lovely and helpful. Always providing water and helping any way they can. Very accommodating. On our return trip we arrived at 9am and our rooms were ready! Unbelievable! The pool area is great. The 2 pools are small but perfectly fine for what we needed. There aren’t many sun beds so sometimes we just lounged on the sofas in the main area outside and no one had a problem with that. The food was delicious too. The bikes were free and we loved riding down to Venice. It’s a nice touch to have them free of charge.

Pool area was great apart from when it was hired out for a business event (lot of speeches on a PA system) Excellent bed-room was spacious with a good size bathroom overlooking the ocean and the staff, especially at the desk were very helpful and friendly. Great location for getting into the local attractions - tip for everyone...don't be afraid to use the driverless cabs - they were great!!

Couldn't get Netflix on the TV but that was just a minor issue

The location is a short walk from Santa Monica beach. The hotel has high charged valet parking. Parking is premium in the area. There is a bar that closes early. There is a restaurant with a small menu that closes early. There is a pool area and lounge seating available. The hotel is clean and well maintained.

The bar and restaurant closed early. We returned to the hotel after long days out but found eating and relaxing at the bar unavailable. This was part of the reason I booked this hotel, using the facilities after a long day in LA.

The rooms were pleasant, with large bathrooms and good quality linens. Valet and house keeping staff were wonderful.

Questions at front desk met with derision; just asking for simple clarification. Pool area a little grubby. Sofa bed was really uncomfortable and once made up on the first night just left out. Finally, a bar staff member took my order, decided to serve a ‘preferred’ guest after taking my payment and then went back to complete my order. I don’t accept that kind of preferential treatment when we’re all paying guests.

We were very impressed with this hotel. It was modern, clean and inviting. From the moment we stepped onto property we were treated professionally. The staff at the door were always friendly and polite. We were offered a glass of wine at check in which was a really nice touch. We were offered an upgrade from partial view to full ocean view room (with a very small cost to pay) and we weren’t disappointed! It was fabulous. The lobby was relaxing and beautifully decorated with various art pieces. Very comfortable chairs. Our room was excellent and bed very comfortable. Shower pressure was good (however was over a bath). I loved that you could open the ranch sliders and sit looking out at the ocean. We were able to get a late checkout which was great. We dined at the hotel restaurant several times and had coffee daily. All food was delicious. I recommend the fromage board and the crispy Brussel sprouts were delicious. Only a very short walk to the Santa Monica pier and beach. We couldn’t fault anything at this hotel. Would gladly stay again. Thanks!

Great location for a hotel in Santa Monica, nice and clean facilities, great for business or small families travelling to LA.

Didn't like the fact you could only valet your car at a rate of $65 USD per night which is excessive for my standard & the pool cabana hire was between $300-$500 USD for the day which was more than the room rate. There was also no basic facilities in the hotel room like tea & coffee making items.

Check in went smoothly. Free yoga class on the beach and use of bikes. Friendly staff Comfy bed, nice room

Pool side.. 2 very small pools , you can’t swim in them, (more for a dip to cool off.)with limited sun beds… very disappointing for a 4 star hotel. Pool music loud. No tea and coffee facilities .

This was my second time staying here. Everything about the property was luxurious and we had an incredible view. The staff was wonderful. Adam, the concierge, was especially helpful in helping us plan a great evening after the weather forced us to cancel other plans. The location is a very short walk from the beach, Santa Monica Pier, and nice restaurants.

About $100 too expensive in my humble opinion BUT I’d you’re going to splurge, this is the hotel to splurge on.
