We had a Japanese style room including tatami. It was a great experience staying in that kind of traditional room. Everything was clean and we missed nothing during our stay. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was extraordinary good: It was Japanese style and all the small dishes were extremely tasty. Try the imoni soup!

The furniture in the room was quite old and looked a bit „worn out“. But it was still very cosy!

Very comfortable beds and pillows, nice staff, and reasonably well located (not far from the station and an easy walk to see the sights of Yamagata). Breakfast was also nice and had a reasonable variety. The room and bed were also definitely on the larger side compared to many Japanese hotel rooms!

The hotel in general feels quite dated - our room could do with a repaint and some refurbishing. Everything was comfortable and mostly clean, but was definitely showing signs of age.

Great location, located close to train station and the bus terminal. There are nice restaurants around, which may take just a couple of minutes to reach, offering some of the most interesting dishes in the region. The staff were nice too, and there weren’t too many complications when checking in and out.

The air in the room is quite dry, making it hard to sleep. The humidifier they provide helps reduce this, but I still wake up with a headache

The hotel room was very comfortable, clean and spacious for 3 Adults, Staff were very helpful and offered great recommendations for restaurants, I also had issues receiving my language from my pervious hotel and the front desk staff really went out of their way to assist me and organized to forward my language to my next hotel when it arrived after I checked out. Parking on site since we hired a car, the car rental place just around the corner so very convenient.

The hotel room is a bit dated and the Bathroom entrance is set higher than the rest of the room so approach with care and lack of charging points.

Room is quite spacious, enough space to walk around and lay out our luggage. Ample electric sockets, and good WiFi. Furniture a bit dated but kept clean. We got a room on its top floor with a great view. Wasn't that many dishes for it buffet breakfast, possibly due to the lack of guests, but still it's good enough. Hotel staff are extremely courteous, be it at the reception, or inside the restaurant. There's a Mitsukoshi mall next to the hotel, with a supermarket and drug store. It's about 10 min's leisurely walk from Yamagata Station, and in between you'll pass by some restaurants and convenience stores. Not really that close to the station, but the room rate is generally cheaper that some others around.

Need to be careful while getting in and out of the bathroom due to the big different in height.

A nice hotel, with quick access to Yamagata station. Everything is very clean and the breakfast was great with a variety of Japanese breakfast items. The room was clean, but somewhat older, but all worked as it should. Only the airconditioning produced warm air instead of cold, but we didn't need it anyway 😅

Good location. The hotel had a great view. We got a room at the top floor and had a nice view of the city. The hotel room was clean and comfy, staff were nice, breakfast was good. Felt very fancy.

The staff were so helpful & kind, very clean and easy to get to.

The whole hotel has to be the same aircon temp & it was very hot while we were there so we had to have the window open at all times letting air in. They didn’t have any small fans to lend out either.

the location is great close to the station with a couple of mins walk.. the view from the hotel is also great with the mountains and the city especially in the winter.. the morning breakfast is also quite delicious and the variety is nice with lots of local delicacies as well as western food.

the washroom does have a weird smell, maybe coz of old building. I hoped they had provided moisturizer in the amenities which is quite common in Japanese hotels these days.. also there is no usb charger near the bed, a minor inconvenience..

The staff was very helpful. They assisted in filling out the forms we needed to use the takyubin transport service to send luggage to a future accommodation. We were given a space , just off the main lobby area where we were able to assemble our bicycles. The breakfast buffet, both Japanese and Western, was varied and delicious.
