Review from Rich (32) and Alice (26) from England: We stayed for 6 nights in July 2025 and had a beachfront room on the second floor. First and foremost the staff (and the dog Mr Cakey) are utterly wonderful... we loved talking to the owner and his staff everyday. It is very much a family orientated establishment, coupled with good hotel facilities. Ernest (owner's nephew and hotel worker) even drove us to and from the castle when we went for a sunset drink... that summed up how great they all are! Facilities were great, cleaned everyday, bathroom a little small but it's fine and you'll adapt, bed is big, plenty of storage space, sockets near the bed, ironing board outside the room, balcony has a great view with table and 2 chairs and a rack to dry towels. Anything else, just ask the staff. Wasn't too noisy, curtains let in a bit too much light, but not the end of the world, breakfast included sausages, eggs, toast, pastries, cereal, etc.. but sausages and eggs were luke warm, again not the end of the world.. a nice variety and the owner makes cappuccinos, etc, on request. The lift fits 2 people and cases, pretty standard for Albania and Greece. It's about a 7 min walk from the port along the water, just involves a little bit of carrying cases up and down stairs (you can always ask a local to help as everyone is friendly). This spot was perfect for us as we took a local bus to Ksamil, a GetYourGuide trip to Blue Eye, Gjirokastër, etc, walks to the beach clubs in Saranda and catching the ferry to Corfu. 100% recommended! If you go, tell them Rich (32) and Alice (26) from England say hi!

Saranda is a vibrant and fun destination with excellent food, great day-trip opportunities, and friendly people. It is not a cheap holiday, but if you are looking for lively atmosphere and beautiful Mediterranean vibes, it’s a great choice. Republika Hotel was the perfect base with friendly staff, good breakfast and a rooftop view to remember. The rooms are clean, the view from the rooms is fantastic, the geographical position in front of the beach and next to all restaurants and bars, and to the port to Corfu is perfect. Perfect Hotel for a family.

Breakfast was great, location was perfect, seaview room was lovely, and the staff were all really nice and friendly.

The bathroom was designed poorly, there's a gap in the door so the bathroom floor gets soaked. Not a big deal, you can just mop it up with towels and the maids are very good at providing new towels :)

Perfect location with pictures sea view from the balcony. The room number was really nice with a comfortable bed, an air-conditioner, a fridge, a safebox. The stuff was very friendly and helpful even without English. The cleaning was each two days, towels were changed every day. Private parking behind the hotel was a huge plus.

Flesh in the toilet is not always worked. Even if you set up 'Don't disturbed', the stuff will knock the door while you open) The breakfast was the simplest with several options and was the same during all 6 days of our stay.

The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Location is awesome, probably the best one in Saranda.

The matress of the bed was super uncomfortable. We turned it, but still. The bathroom and the bacony were small, especially the bathroom. That s noone’s fault, but if you are a bigger person you can hardly fit there

However, interruptions were frequent enough throughout the day to be annoying. This may have been an area problem. Other Digital Nomads who I met while in Sarandë also reported similar at their stays. There are some resto/cafés nearby with Excellent consistent service; I used Lemon Tree and Queens Coffe. 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 Excellent location, very friendly and attentive service, substantial breakfast, and stunningly beautiful view from my suite's balcony. I would definitely stay here again! 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘𝗗 • Absolutely wonderful unobstructed view of the Ionian Sea from the room's balcony! • Excellent location! 5 min walk from the intercity bus lines stop. • You'll be spoiled for choice of restaurants, coffee cafés, and other services. • I was only there 3 nights; however, there is a mini-market 1 min walk away with everything needed for a longer stay. • I slept with the balcony door open (5th-floor corner room) and awoke every morning to the soft sound of the waves; so peaceful! • All staff were attentive, helpful, pleasant, and professional. • The breakfast was substantial and tasty; more than I expected. • Comfortable bed; sheets clean, new, and fresh smelling. Memory foam pillows are great!

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜 𝗗𝗜𝗗𝗡'𝗧 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 • Considering the excellent condition of the bed linen and pillows, the towels were rather worn and dinghy in color; yet still clean smelling. • WiFi interruptions were frequent enough throughout the day to be annoying. This may have been an area problem.

Wonderful sea views from the top-level restaurant. The staff is pretty weak in English, but they totally overcame it with their friendliness, kindness, and willingness to help. But anyway, the location is really hilarious, the beach is right in front, and a lot of dining options around.

Parking is not quite suitable for daily trips, since it needs staff (and sometimes other guests, even from other hotels) to intervene and unblock your car.

No kettle to make tea in room, This was a major shortcming. Room size, bit small. Toilet bit smells.

The staff was nice and friendly and really helpful. Also the view is worth everything. And he upgraded the room for us well. Soo happy with everything.

Felt like things weren't prepared for us , we had to ask for everything like kettle . Mayb its an off season thing. But quite happy with everything.

Good location considering entire town feels like a construction site, little private parking behind the building. We got a room upgrade which was great as double rooms are tiny. Nice cafes are within 5-10min walk.

In general felt a bit overpriced for what’s been offered. Public beach is just outside the hotel but the sea is quite dirty
