- Having been told they'd put the heating on, it was a bit disappointing to find that it wasn't on, although I did receive an apology as "something came up" - Too many notices about "respecting" the white linen, towels, other items, etc - even down to the prices of them - and the threat of additional charges for damage. Don't buy white/neutral colours if you are not willing to risk people dirtying them! Or provide makeup wipes and phrase the signs more positively (e.g. "please use makeup wipes provided, rather than white towels")

We couldn't stay longer

When we opened the door to our room (King Suite), it was a case of "OMG WOW <insert superlative here to try and cover how spectacular the room looked and smelt with the vaporiser going>". Doors run off codes, so no chance of losing your key, and the room was seriously special. Bath salts beside the beautiful freestanding bath, all ready to go, and lovely ambient music and images on the TV. Seriously special hotel.

This has to be the best motel I have ever been to. The staff, cleanliness, communication, comfort level, mini bar, location etc etc!!! Can’t rate high enough, felt so pampered in the large stone bath that had rose petals and salts supplied. Room was serviced everyday we were there, absolute bliss!!

I was attracted to staying at the Blue Jacket Motel once I saw the photos of the room on the website. It was our wedding anniversary and we were spending the weekend in the local area. Following a beautiful lunch at Antica in Carcoar we arrived at the Blue Jacket and everything was even better than I imagined. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and arranged, wonderfully comfortable and contained everything we needed. It was clear that a great deal of thought had gone into the refurbishment of the room. An evening sitting drinking the local wine and cheeseboard we brought with us (though more was available in the room), talking and looking out at the view, as we listened to the Nat King Cole record on the record player discovered in the room was simply perfect. This was followed by a very restful night in a perfectly comfortable a spacious bed. This was the most 'hotel' experience I have ever found in a motel in a regional area. Simply perfect! Easily go back there again.

It was never really clear on the website and booking.com info whether dinner or breakfast was available so we ended up bringing food ourselves. When we arrived we discovered Georgia's Country Kitchen on the premises and the minibar in the room and might have not worried about bringing our own wine and food. I recommend making this information clearer on the website.

The rooms decor, location to town & the option to enjoy a beverage on the balcony in the late afternoon winter sun.

The lack of heating in the bathroom was the reason for a lower score on the facilities & comfort - it was bitterly cold unless you blasted the a/c in the bedroom/living area & left the bathroom door open so the heat could circulate - I appreciate you don't spend time in there but for a July/August stay it was cold

The room and customer service was surblime. There was a small delay at checkin so the lovely owners gave us a beautiful bottle of Red to drink while we say on the balcony watching the sunset

The exterier of the building is a work in progress but when you looked inside the door the finished and attention to detail was excellent. It would have also been wonderful to have the resturant and bar open

The bathroom. The shower head is not practical for open shower. Needs to either be replaced or set to rain fall not having it spray as the water goes everywhere. With it being spray the water is cold even when you have it on hot only. Felt like a cold shower and with the current climate that wasn't pleasant at all.

The room was presented as displayed on the website, but it just looked so much better in real life, The furnishing were sumptuous and just so lovely. The bed was excellent, very comfy and large. The shower was hot and water pressure also good. The bath was an added bonus, and again just a hint of luxury in a room in Canowindra. The restaurant is not part of the Blue Jacket, but i can recommend the late night dessert and coffee/tea. Breakfast was also available, reasonable prices, good quality food.

Super clean, comfortable and furnished with eclectic style. Easy walk into town. On site restaurant, Gloria's Country Kitchen, deserved greater patronage. The owner shared his life experience and the menu was both simple and delicious.

If anything we found the room styled to unnecessary excess. Style seemed to override comfort and clutter was the order of the day. Many visitors would consider this to be a bonus, but not us. The rug around the bed could be considered a tripping hazard for more elderly guests.
