Well renovated traditional hotel, comfortable room, good restaurant/cafe for both dinner and breakfast. Would stay again.

Seemed most rooms were booked by a "hens" group who all wanted to talk incessantly in the corridors and with their room doors open, both at night and in the morning. Had to ask them to keep it down at night. The renovation is very good but some details need attention, toilet roll holder falling off wall, cabinet under sink quite scuffed, scaled floor in shower. Should be easy things to stay on top of and would make a big difference.

Impeccable stay ! Food worthy of a Chefs Hat and an extensive menu to match. The place to stop and stay if you're a foodie ! The perfect halfway point between Syd & Melb. This hotel is a rival to the submarine that most visitors visit the town for. Room was clean and tidy and not over styled. Mattress was the comfiest I've stayed on outside of 5 Star CBD hotels. Friendly staff that are proud of where they live and happy to chat. Hats off to the whole team that make you feel welcome in a beautiful part of regional NSW. Even the cleaner gave me a good tip on the local bakery for breaky.

No negatives about my stay. Maybe make the meals smaller so I could try them all in one sitting LOL !

Spacious, comfortable and clean room. Comfy king bed. Easy access from the highway. Amazing local food. Friendly bar staff.

Accommodation is located upstairs above the hotel. We stayed in room 1 and unfortunately for us the window overlooked the internal hotel bar area. The window couldn’t close properly and certainly didn’t seal so it was noisy until the bar closed and all staff went home. Email was sent to hotel manager so hopefully this has been rectified and this is no longer an issue.

So many things to like about the hotel: the rooms have been renovated tastefully to reflect the era of the hotel, it’s spotlessly clean, large modern bathroom, bed & bedding ensure a great nights sleep, convenience of being in a hotel that provides delicious meals so no need to look further on a cold winter’s night, staff were friendly & professional

The exhaust fan in the bathroom was noisy but that’s a minor point

The renovation really is something, like others have said and the hotel was nicer than many others I’d stayed in for double the price. Air temperature was cool, bathroom was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. It was such a welcome surprise after a long drive.

The noise from downstairs carried up into the room — If I didn’t have earplugs, I wouldn’t have had enough sleep for the drive up to NSW. Also, the smell of the grill in the kitchen was permeating throughout the bedroom but that disappeared once the kitchen was closed for the night.

Breakfast was not available at the Holbrook Hotel but it was only a short distance to the bakery. The renovation of the hotel was very tastefully done with a smart country vibe about it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm and cosy once we found the heating control outside in the hallway. The food in the restaurant was superb - excellent steaks and a delicious pie.

Just a couple of small suggestions- a shower cap and a hairdryer in the room. No one travels with a dryer these days and a shower cap is not considered a luxury either.

Beautiful hotel - only stayed for one night but will be back. Queen room was spotlessly clean, very spacious and comfortable, bed was super comfy, bathroom very luxurious, absolutely no faults Food is absolutely lovely here also - large menu, super quick service and really really tasty. Staff were brilliant Definitely exceeded our expectations - excellent hotel would 100% recommend.

A stylish and beautiful revamp of a grand old building. A great vine- the food was imaginative and extremely good, the staff were inviting and warm, our room was beautifully appointed. On the night we arrived there was live music, loud enough to capture your attention but not overwhelming. The location is very good. All in all, we just to come back for more of everything.

No breakfast was available and the local cafes didn't open until 9am, well after we had left. The room heater did not work but the temperature was still comfortable though not as toasty as I would have liked.

Rooms have their own bathroom - not shared. There is also a lift to get up to your room rather than having to climb stairs with bags. Very friendly staff. All willing to help. Food was good as well.

Rooms are a bit cramped and the view out the window was off the hotel roof.
