Location, parking, cleanliness, elevator.

The receptionist had her dog on her lap & it was with her constantly. It growled & barked at the guests. This property is advertised as pet free which is a must for us. This was most disappointing. There was no milk in the fridge for our cup of tea.

I booked a ground room looking at the pool - as per the advertised image on booking.com. I ended up getting a view of the car park around the back

This would be my sixth or seventh stay at Kiama Shores and I will definitely be back again. Since the renovations have been completed and a lift installed and a microwave added to the rooms it has made my stay even more enjoyable. I love the proximity to the cafes, shops, and beach. This is a wonderful place to stay with friendly staff and very comfortable rooms.

I loved everything, nothing to complain about!

Staff were excellent. Very friendly. Location was great and very central. The room was very clean and looked like a new or updated bathroom. A decent sized kitchenette with microwave, including a kitchen tap you could fill the kettle in, LOL. Bed was a King sized, a little soft on both sides, with the middle section firm … no need for a wall of pillows. :-) It was great to be able to walk to markets & restaurants. Also had plenty of free parking.

Noise coming from the road, i.e. motor bikes & 'rev heads' in their cars. Not an issue with accommodation though. We just closed the door, and it cut out the majority of the noise. Bed was a little soft on both sides, with the middle section firm … no need for a wall of pillows. :-)

Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed and linen comfortable and house-keeping good standards. Useful to have kitchenette facilities. Central location great for accessing anywhere in Kiama.

Nothing much Kiama Shores could do about it, but my room was at the opposite end to the swimming pool, overlooking the carpark, and unfortunately quite close to the Leagues Club - and the noise carried very easlly from there to my room. We stayed 3 nights over the weekenbd and the Saturday night was extremely noisy up until about 12.30am... at which time I think some of those drinking must have been staying at Kiama Shores as there were many loud male voices and banging doors until around 1 am.

The room was very nice and spacious. The bed was soo comfortable and big that I had real good night of sleep after travelling. The bathroom as well was very spacious which gave a sense of luxury. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool but it looked dreamy! The hotel is located quite in the Center and you can walk to pretty much all the restaurants. In particular in front I recommend The Hungry Monkey for breakfast, and the Thai next door for dinner was excellent. The fact that there is a sink, microwave and space with a table to enjoy meals in the hotel is a real plus as well. Overall, such a good experience that I will remember!

Unfortunately we had a room located in the back so our view was of the parking lot, it didn’t phase us too much as we were mostly outside the whole day. The other thing is the water from the shower was leaking in the bathroom but it dried pretty quickly.

The room was very good. Good kitchenette and other facilities, large smart TV, balcony with chairs & table, free wi-fi etc. The bed was very comfortable. We were impressed. Kiama is a lovely, scenic town where everything is within walking distance - Kiama Shores Motel, the harbour, parks, shops, railway station and the beach are all within walking distance.

My only small suggestion (which I mentioned to the Reception staff when checking out) was that a second Towel Rail in the bathroom would be helpful. A minor detail which could make a very good room even better.

Great location conveniently close to the water, parkland, dining/drinking options, and shops. Comfortable room and bed. Check-in and check-out were painless processes.

Cleaning staff could do a better job. The halls carry noise quite far, and we understand that some noise is to be expected, but the cleaning staff weren't exactly quiet with moving around and chattering to each other. Good luck retaining quiet for anyone hanging the don't disturb/quiet please sign out. One of the supposedly "clean" bath towels had significant amounts of mascara and makeup on it. For what we paid for the room, surely it isn't hard to check that towels are actually clean. The fridge worked great but smelled a little bit like rotting meat. Maybe it needed a proper clean out between hires?

The bed was enormous very comfortable. The room was large with lots of natural light. There was a bench for our luggage which at this price point you don’t always get. The decor was lovely, minimal with calm fresh colours. Great kitchenette. No toaster but understandable these days with fire alarm standards. Fantastic cafes and restaurants all around. A very walkable location. Daily housekeeping. Free guest laundry with washer and dryer, 1 packet of laundry powder provided if you ask for it at reception. Easy parking. Very good value for money.

The beds were comfortable. Large rooms. It was close to town and the Blowhole. Very clean. Updated modern rooms. Staff were friendly and changed our room 107 which did not have pool and garden view as advertised. Good parking. Huge bath towels. Pool towels provided.

We stayed for 5 days. The first room we had 107 did not have a view of pool and garden as advertised but staff later gave us a better one on day 4 at our request. The shower head in room 107 came out past the glass screen so water leaked out onto the floor. Not enough towel rails. Needs light over the kitchen area.
