We spent two nights in Bright. We had a lovely time with sunny days and surrounded with magnificent colourful autumn leaves in front of our one bedroom apartment 1 at Westwood Lodge. Very clean apartment with nice view of the beautiful trees in the garden. Perfect location. In the centre of Bright, walking distance to shops and cafes. Our room was very cosy, beautifully furnished and very well presented. The apartment had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and spacious with also electric blanket. Leah responded well to our questions. She is a perfect host. We are looking forward to staying in Westwood Lodge again in our next visit to Bright.

The room we had was very good each morning and afternoon the beef cattle would feed near our window and this was most enjoyable to see. We did not have the breakfast not for any reason. We went to town.

Only complaint was the 2 bbq,s both not ready to use very dirty and dusty so I bought a frypan instead to cook my sausages. I was not going to clean them as we had paid a lot and those facilities which were mentioned in the package to be used and enjoyed. Hey all good the internal facilities in the room were new and very clean and plenty of hot running water..

The lady who attended the desk was very nice and friendly. Location was perfect. The deluxe Room was cozy, fit 5ppl comfortably and the tub was very nice and huge, with jacuzzi which I didn't use cause it's too loud. Bed is good and comfortable. The restaurant attached with the motel was excellent with delicious foods! 100% will come back if visit the area. Cannot comment on the other rooms

Bed moved easily with can be a bit annoying, but mainly for the single bed, cannot comment on the bigger bed. But, honestly it's not too much issue. Other than that, nothing I can complain about.

We liked how clean and organised it was. We all suffer from asthma and allergies so find other motels can be a bit dusty, and were happy to find it so clean. As we were travelling with young children we were impressed that we wernt squished in-between other patrons. We felt comfortable enough if the kids got a bit rumbuxious not to be so stressed. Kids loved seeing the cows through their window with the paddock right behind. TV in each room, aircon/heating in each room and electric blankets a nice touch. Also, we had a spa bath included, which the kids loved.

The attached Chinese restaurant was mediocre at best. Was ok for the kids, after a 5hr drive for a quick dinner. Didn't like how the beds would move easily. Unable to lock the wheels.

It was our first stay at the Motel, and I did not expect it to be so good for the money paid. The Big Trout Motel turned out to be an EXCELLENT place to stay in Oberon area in terms of everything what was important for us, including Reception open hours, communication, parking availability, cleanliness, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, Internet connection, TV and view in the window. Will definitely stay there again next time. Thank you!! :)

We had three family rooms booked and all suited us beautifully. The rooms were all together at the back of the property well away from the road and looking out on to farmland. The rooms were all spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The on-site Chinese restaurant was excellent and very accommodating for our large family group. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Nothing to dislike.

Very surprised. Great staff, we had the spacious family room #2. It’s excellent for a family of four and the beds were really comfy! Super clean and refurbished bathroom. It’s nothing fancy, but the best basics. We spent a quick night there on the way to Jenolan Caves. It was perfect. The only drawback was it was pricey, but it was Easter weekend.

Price was steep. I know it was a holiday weekend, but still exi for the location. That was the only twinge, but I preferred to pay then drive at wee hours of the morning to make a 10am caves appointment.

A very convenient place to stay when visiting Mayfield Gardens. It was a short drive to the RSL (who provided a courtesy bus) and the location is also close to the lovely Cafes and IGA store in the main street. Heating in the room was extremely effective and so welcoming. We had great Chinese food at the onsite restaurant. (The serving sizes and the food was way above our expectations). Room cleanliness was 100%

No real issue, but a softer bed or "topper" would be ideal if staying longer.

Quiet location. Our room was north facing with views of cows grazing on a paddock. Large room with space for one queen & one single bed plus a round dining table and chairs, Lots of bench space for spreading out personal items, some wardrobe hanging space and tea making facilities with hot water jug, toaster & bar fridge. Air conditioning to take the chill off the air. Fabulous shower pressure.

The decor is very 70s and a bit dated, but quite OK. It was very clean and serviceable.

The staff were really friendly and warm. We had dinner at Rainbow Chinese Restaurant next door which food was lovely. The spring rolls were delicious! The room was really clean and spacious. Basic necessities were provided and we found out, there was a hatch where you can have food delivered to your room which we thought was neat. It was nice to have electric blanket provided during our stay.
