Lighting is inadequate EVERYWHERE. In particular more functional bedside lighting is needed to enable reading. I couldn't even distinguish the different types of jam with the poor lighting in the breakfast area. Space is rather tight although what there is well used. A chair for two is really desirable and a slightly bigger table or somewhere to use a computer etc. The pillows are all too high. It would be an improvement if different types were available as is the case in some places we have stayed. The bathroom space is only just workable and probably unsuitable for large people.

The property had a bunch of facilities including tennis court, basketball hoop, hot tub, sauna and even a games room. While it was raining most of the time we were there, so we didn’t get to use it all it was still nice to have a bunch of options of things to do. The rooms were also nice and spacious and very clean.

The main problem with this property is the location. It is a bit of a long walk to the main strip in black heath (i especially wouldn’t want to do it while it is raining). We also found that most of what we wanted to do including activities, bars and restaurants were all in Katoomba and we had to drive to Katoomba from KYAH each day, multiple times a day.

Large room with space for bags, hanging things, making tea etc...bathroom with shower was good size. They have a tea and coffee station at the end of hall with milk, tea and coffee provisions as well as a microwave and some snacks. A light breakfast is complimentary with granola, yoghurt, toast and pastries.(included a GF granola) They have some lovely facilities- outside hot tub, sauna room, e-bikes, sport court and games room. We didn't use any of these mostly due to continuous rain! Restaurant on-site is was open weds- sunday and served up-market fare with prices and portions to match. There are not many eating options nearby. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

No teabags in the room...you can collect them from the tea station. The location would only suit if you have a car.

Amazing cleanliness including the additional shared ablution areas, something you would find in 5 star hotels I think. The beds were very comfortable and we felt spoilt by the tea/coffee kitchenette outside of the room, the minties and seating lounges. The complementary breakfast was good.

Met by a receptionist who recited all the welcoming bit of what was available, that the restaurant was closed, how to get in outside of hours etc. Appeared irritated when enquired about later check out the next day. Felt like 'first day at high school' We did indeed return late at night and did not realise we weren't told where the outside hours door was, but fortunately the receptionist was still inside. Also, none of the bicycles could be used because "under maintenance."

Very nice decor, colour scheme throughout property. Cute common area/coffee snack section set up. What a wonderful surprise that my booking included continental breakfast, which was lovely! Bed is on the plush side, comfy. Good shower pressure, but toilet looked like it has very old stain on the bottom, but at the same time the lighting in the bathroom was very, very dim, so I hope I just couldn't see very clear... Still loved the room. The lady said we can still book to use the hot tub or sauna even after we check out, I think that was really nice service. Will recommend to friends!

The newly updated facilities were great, clean and comfortable. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. The sauna and hot tub facilities were easy to book for private use. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and the bed was super comfy. The complimentary continental breakfast was good. The restaurant space was lovely and the tea/ice room was a perfect little sitting area to relax outside of your room. The hotel is in a good location to explore the Blue Mountains, relatively close to some good walking tracks and lookouts. Would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others!

Only very minor things; I would've liked a little more hanging space for clothes and general storage so our stuff didn't have to be lying around. The booking details and website didn't include details of the complimentary continental breakfast(which was a nice surprise). Also, the prices of coffee at breakfast weren't displayed or mentioned when ordering.

Charming motel turned hotel that is well kept. Loved the sun-filled breakfast room and humble yet delicious breakfast options. The hot tub is a fun and relaxing option nestled outdoors amongst the garden and trees – you can book 30 min slots for free (at reception) but it goes by fast so maybe worth checking if they allow 2 sessions. The room was very comfortable with solid bed, good aircon and shower (hot with good pressure). Lovely shower gels and shampoo/conditioner provided. Very convenient online check in and "just wave goodbye" check out.

The bathroom could do with an uplift like the rest of the room. The exhaust fan was noisy (but effective) and the old school light takes a while to brighten. Not enough bench or shelf space for toiletries.

Spacious, clean and artfully created rooms, with beautfiul plants and ample lighting. This hotel provided a memorable experience for us both, complete with a sauna and outdoor fire heated spa (this was ahhmazing! We couldn't get enough). The service was exceptional, friendly and attentive. Loved having the restaurant in house. Breakfast had ample variety and left us full and satisifed.

(Not sure if this is my own tech short comings) But I could not locate the spot to book for the hottub and sauna on the website, I only ecieved the booking links via email once we had arrived.

Loved the facilities and the chicken coop! Breakfast was lovely. Restaurant food was amazing too and the ambience is warm and cosy. Staff was very accomodating, including our request for making s’mores by the fire pit. The hot tub was also a must try, although a bit hard to book. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. Very smart and homely environment overall!

It might be personal preference, but notably, the beds were TOO soft. A bit of firmness would have been great, especially after a long day of hikes and body aches! The lighting in the rooms although great for ambience, was a bit too dark. The switches for the bed side table were also hard to find in the dark, so not ideal. It would also be great if there were exhaust fans in the bathroom. We were regardless very comfortable and loved our stay!

All staff were excellent - friendly and very helpful. Room, bathroom, and all communal facilities were very clean. Breakfast (included) was great and had a good selection. The room was spacious, had an aircon/heater, and a good shower. The hot tub and sauna were both excellent and it was easy to reserve a slot for them.

No complaints - the entire stay was excellent. It's just worth noting that the in-house restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday (possibly just out of season?). However, there's a selection of alternatives within around a 15-minute walk and several of them deliver. The hotel let you use the dining area if you've ordered food in.
