Our group of 5 were in Blackheath for the annual Choir Festival. Our family room was exactly what we needed - very quiet - away from the GW Highway - comfy beds, clean, decent bathroom, everything we needed & expected was provided. Checkin was easy in the Bistro; everyone was very friendly and efficient. The pub has great meals too (but not breakfast - there are plenty of cafes nearby for that). The pub is right in the heart of Blackheath, with plenty of onsite parking. I would highly recommend it for couples, families, friends groups etc.

Location excellent. Parking great. Rooms very cosy. Beds comfortable. Ensuite had room to move (unlike some other accommodations)! Dinner very nice. Lovely ambience sitting in lounge around fire afterwards relaxing. Live music a nice bonus as we were only there Saturday night. All staff friendly and provided great customer service. I have been here several times before but only to eat. This time I stayed — would definitely come again. Thank you to all

Found room became a bit too warm to sleep and couldn’t find a room control (had to open window). A very small fridge in room would be good but staff very happy to store a few things in their fridge for us overnight. Couldn’t see if breakfast was available in morning so needed to go to a cafe. These were not big issues (just comments or observations) — generally very good stay

Honestly I did not expect to have so many things included. Tv, heated blanket, coffee, tea and a kettle, sink, hangers and balcony! Literally the only 2 cons were the location (a bit loud from the main street and trains) and cigarette smoke smell outside of rooms, as people were smoking in the dining area. Other than that my stay was amazing, I would definately recommend this place to anyone.

The only thing I'd change is the smoking area.

Great, old hotel inn in Blackheath, minutes away from the Blue Mountains with many coffee shops and food places within a few minutes walk. The train station is across the road and will take you to Sydney. I didn't realise it was a pub and we were staying on new years eve but it wasn't noisy and we were able to get meals at the restaurant which were very nice. I love the historic setting. Well maintained. Staff were lovely. Would happily recommend.

Clean rooms, clean bathroom. Very friendly staff. Very friendly locals in the pub downstairs. The beer garden looked great, easy parking for guests. Close to all the things in Blackheath.

No bar fridge in the room but that wasn't a big deal. The shower head wasn't great but even still, I'd be back in a heartbeat to stay there again and make good use of the beer garden and the new outdoor deck they are building.

Great location close to Govett's leap. Incredible lovely staff who were so helpful when I arrived right late. They made sure I could still have a meal even though the kitchen just closed and were very attentive. Room was great value for money, nice and close to the bathroom and stairs. There is a nice deck out the back and good off street parking out the back as well.

I would likely not stay on Friday/Saturday night as it is a pub with events and live music.

I originally booked this family room (14) thinking it was the one I had seen with my son on a previous visit. However this room is configured smaller than the one we saw and we would only stay in room 20 from now on if it was available. We were offered room 20 on the last night which we took and it was perfect.

The smoke from the covered area outside downstairs drifts up and into the room at night if the windows are left open for ventilation, this was a problem because there were people smoking until 10:30 at night.

Great staff, good old fashioned pub. Several rooms downstairs to relax in, lounge and main bar both had fireplaces (2 gas and 1 wood). Very pleasant. Dining room was nice and food very good.

Room on smaller side but perfectly serviceable. No fridge. There was live music on sat, which is wonderful but was unaware and it was late and loud.

Staff were sooo friendly and kind , then the lounge area was my favourite place 🤩

I meant to stay 2 nights and i ended up staying 5 nights, so There's no CONS from my perspective and humble personal opinion, but if it helps, I would probably say to keep in mind the loudly slamming front and back door in the middle of the night and sometimes through the night as well , it happened a few nights only, something to keep it in mind, apart that in my window ( room23) I had 2 pigeons mating every single night 🤣🤣

Spotlessly clean room. Crisp white bedlinen. Quiet location of room at back of hotel. Comfortable lounge and dining areas.

TV service very poor. Poor internet connection for Android TV. Could only see streaming services but as I didn't have my passwords with me I couldn't enjoy the TV. I didn't see any free to air TV channels. Ended up using my phone to watch Netflix chewing up data . Also I got locked out after checking out early and putting my bag in the car the next morning. It was already after 8am. No one answered the hotel phone. I had to ring a friend to come down to let me in (minor problems compared with the general high standard of the hotel)
